Spacious studio of 35 sq.m opening on a garden, renovated in September 2012, fully equipped in a neighbourhood with convenient location, 50 m from Parc des Buttes Chaumont.
If the neighborhood works for you, I'm not sure you can do better than this apartment. It was spotlessly clean, with a modern bathroom and great shower, a comfortable bed that descends from the wall, even a nice little outdoor space. It's on the lobby floor in the back, totally quiet. A half block away is the beautiful Butte Chaumont park and a nice Boulanger on the corner. I think it's best for one or two people, again understanding that you are not in the heart of tourist Paris. But, the metro's close and Uber is a click away. Recommended without hesitation.
Highlights: The 5th largest park in Paris is 100 meters away and open early-5:00 AM. Loads of French runners and dog walkers. We ran everyday and loved it. This place is in the 19th District and away from city center.
Also, fruit and vegie markets are right outside the door. Coffee shops nearby and QUIET. Each night we slept in a blissful quiet neighborhood far away from the main city hussle and bussle. We recommend that you use the Metro. There are two train to get to the Seine where all the museums are. Metro passes were 10 for $15.00. It takes around 20 minutes to get to town. Easy walk to Metro Station and personally we liked being on the trains and being with the locals.
Uber was fast and easy but cost $30.00.
Take a taxi from the airport to the apartment. Super easy-right outside the airport.
In summary, for the price, we were very impressed. The only negatives were " very coarse" towels but the shower was great!
Perfect for 3 people! Great neighborhood, very clean apartment, and Mr. Ludovic and the Richards were SO HELPFUL! If I ever get back to Paris, I would definitely stay here again!
This little apartment was great and, as a host myself, I did learn something. It had all I needed and no clutter. The space was clean and safe with a little terasse on a private courtyard for a breath of air and an occasional meeting with another life form. The electronic roll down shutters were awesome. The lady in charge was helpful without being bothersome, so nice. You are not far from the metro and there is fresh produce on every street.
You do have to take care to close the freezer and maybe have a working knowledge of TV control devices. I do not and the news was bad anyway. People in Paris were pleasant, especially if you speak French.
Apprtement très calme et bien équipé.
Propriétaire à l'écoute.
Adventure began trying to find apartment. So as reference to others: from CDG airport take train to Gare Du Nord, beware, last one is around 11:30-12:00 PM, jump to M5 towards Ourcq. Take Rue d'Haupoul. There is a Chinese restaurant as you come out the station, that's the street, walk down for about 10 minutes & you will get to Manin, take right and apartment building 10 steps up, across from supermarket right behind bus stop, D'Hautpoul.
The apartment is very nice & clean, appreciate the WiFi. No bedrooms though. Bed and sofa bed are all on living area. Small patio with sliding glass doors that must stay open all night for cooling reasons. It does get little loud in the morning in the shared courtyard, but the outdoor ventilation is worth the inconvenience.
Our favorite part of this place is that we were able to get away from all the crowds and tourist, lots of restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacy even an outdoor movie theater less than 10 minutes away, far enough from the crowds but close enough to jump on the metro and go anywhere we wanted to. We enjoyed our stay it met our expectations, & stayed within budget.
