Self-Catering rental in quiet location, 70m from the sea, 30mins from airport
Amarillo Villas is located just 70m from the sea, in the stunningly beautiful bay of Sevid.
We built the villa 10 years ago to a very high standard, and the layout of the 3 floors was designed to be spacious and open plan. We rent the property out either as a whole house or three self contained apartments.
Each floor is 80sqm in size, with a large balcony that is 20sqm in size. The floor space of each apartment is approximately double the size of a standard Croatian apartment.
There is ample off road parking for 4 cars. The well established and secluded garden is one of the highlights of our property which includes a 150 year old olive tree, a variety of citrus trees, cherry trees, a fig tree and an almond tree, along with a variety of other plants and herbs. You are welcome to help yourself to any of the fruits, should they be in season when you are there.
The mosaic tiled swimming pool is perfect for cooling off and children always love making friends with our dolphin George, who lives at the bottom of the pool.
Poolside loungers and parasols are provided, perfect for relaxing by the pool. There is a large poolside BBQ and there are two swings for children.
The indoor and outdoor furniture was imported from the UK. The solid wooden sleigh beds with high quality sprung mattresses guarantee a good nights sleep. Each balcony has a solid teak dining table and four chairs, ideal for al-fresco dining and the solid teak steamers are perfect for relaxing, whilst enjoying the sea views.
Each apartment has an indoor dining area with a large table and four chairs, and all the kitchens are fully equipped with the luxury of fan ovens and gas hobs, allowing you the option of eating in. The house has internet TV and full wireless internet access, which will work even by the pool.
There are 2 spacious bedrooms on each floor, the master bedrooms have a large double bed, and the second bedrooms have 2 singles, there are also 3 good quality fold away beds with sprung mattresses and slatted bases, in case of extra guests, therefore sleeping 5 guests in each apartment.
Each bathroom has a shower, and the bathrooms on the 1st and 2nd floor, both have full size jacuzzi baths. Guests are also permitted the use of a canoe, perfect for exploring the bay and there is also a mooring for a 7m boat (boat not supplied). Boats can be hired locally or in nearby Trogir.
Sevid offers the ideal location for a relaxing holiday with spectacular views of untouched Mediterranean landscape and crystal clear waters, that are perfect for swimming, snorkelling, water sports and exploring the bay. There is a small local shop, which supplies daily fresh bread and cakes, along with a large variety of everyday supplies, and two restaurants/bars.
The house also has a mooring for a boat and we can rent you an inflatable dinghy with solid base and an engine for 40 euros per day, the bold can hold 6 people and you do not need a skippers licence.

About Espa Faupel
I manufacture laminated bamboo garden umbrella's which are sold world wide. My wife is a nursery school teacher and we live in a small village near Guildford with our two daughter who are 8 and 10 years old. We all love Croatia and Sevid and it is like being at home.
Espa Faupel purchased this Villa in 2003
Why Espa Faupel chose Sevid
Before we built the house in Sevid my wife and I spent in total of a few months traveling from the north of Croatia to Dubrovnik in the South and Sevid stood out from everywhere as a hidden gem. Sevid is the most easterly point of the Croatian coast and is known to have the clearest waters in Croatia. The small tranquil village of holiday villas overlooks 2 bays, set on a peninsular shaped like a whales tail and several islands, and on a clear day you can see as far as Island Hvar and Island Vis.
What makes this Villa unique
70 meters from crystal clear sea. Stunning sea views. Large spacious, luxurious rooms. Beautiful well established secluded garden. Tiled swimming pool. Good quality furniture and fittings. Full wireless internet. Internet TV. Peaceful and away from the crowds. Family friendly.

the villa in sevid is great!!! perfect holidays!!! sevid is one of the best places
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of my property. I am pleased you and your family enjoyed your time at my house and liked Sevid.
Sevid is lovely
We stayed at Villa Amarillo in july 2017. We were 3 families so we had the whole house to ourselves.
First of all - Sevid is a gem! It´s beautiful situated, it´s a small vacation village where you can really relax. It´s a really small road going there and it´s kind of isolated, but that gives you the calmness and harmony. There is a small shop and a crappy restaurant hardly worth it´s name. But if you prefer to cook at home, it´s perfect. You need a car and we did day trips to Primosten (nice!) and Krka (overrated!).
There is a really nice beach on opposite side of the village, where you can buy pancakes and lighter croatian lunch. The water is crystal clear and lovely!
The house: it´s a nice house, I wouldn´t call it luxury villa at all, but it has what you need. The view from 2nd and especially 3rd floor is breathtaking (there really should be pictures of it here). The pool is kind of small but good enough for kids and there are good sun chairs and parasols. We loved that there is a kayak that can be used in the ocean! The location is good, a few steps from the ocean. Other than that, the house and the garden is what you see from the pictures.
What I lacked was first of all some kind a visitors guide - how to work everything in the house, where to leave garbage, how to turn hot water on and such. We had problems with the outdoor lights and that was fixed the day before we left. Also - there were A LOT of wasps around the terrace on the 3rd floor. I know that wasps can be a problem during summer in Croatia, but this was extreme. We couldn´t eat outside some nights and we must have killed hundreds of them. We contacted the owners but they wouldn´t send someone to check it out. I think there was one ore more nests on the roof.
Not a huge problem but if you rent out such a house you need to have someone local that handle things that come up or even welcome you and go through how things work in the house. We had to figure it out and search for things like towels, light bulbs, how to turn on the hot water and such. These are things I would expect to be described in a guest guide or by a someone present.
So, besides a few minor things we had to spend time on handling, we had a lovely time and we truly enjoyed Sevid.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review, I appreciate your comments. I am pleased that you had a good holiday and enjoyed staying at the house and in Sevid.
I will be taking more photos of the views and will include them in my advert. The pool is the biggest size that is allowed under Croatian law, which is worked out according to the size of land at the property. I am pleased you enjoyed using the kayak and am considering about getting another for guest use.
With regards to the wasps, I understand that you and your family were bothered by them, after you contacted us about the problem, I did ask the agency to see if they could send someone to visit the house, unfortunately no-one was available immediately. Our property has now been checked over and a nest was found in a tree at the rear of the property. It has now been removed.
I also appreciate your comments regarding further guest information, to be honest I had never thought to include some of the things you have mentioned above and it shows that feedback comments really helps me to improve. So I will now be re-writing the guest info, to include all of the things that you mentioned above.
Thank you again for your comments
Love this place!
This villa is one of my favourite places in the world! It's the perfect place to relax in peace and quiet with stunning views from the top apartment, beautiful clear sea, your own private pool, stunning weather and all the home comforts you need. The villa itself has everything you need and is clean and homely in all the right ways! You will need a car but driving is easy and there are plenty of places nearby to visit and dine! The villa also comes with a gorgeous tabby cat (Roger Pebbles) who was born there - he likes whiskas and milk - just saying! :) - book now - you won't regret it!!
Beautiful location within a short walk of the sea
We stayed in the first floor apartment which was clean and spacious, the balcony offered stunning views towards the sea. It would be practical to have a car, although there is a small supermarket in the village there are few other facilities . Overall the apartment was excellent value for money, and a great location.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am pleased you had a good holiday and enjoyed your stay.
Home from home
Stayed with girl friends in the middle apartment, all mod cons, great views and close to the sparkling clear sea.
Everyone enjoyed their stay.
Amarillo Villa was perfect for us as a big family-
I rented the villa for me, my husband and all my children, son and daughter in law and all 8 grandchildren from the age of 4 till 12 years old. We were 16 altogether and had a wonderful time.
The Croatian Sea is just marvelous, clear, salt and refreshing for swimming. It takes only 2 minutes to walk from the house to the sea. And we went swimming frequently. We stayed most of the time at the house around the pool where the kids were mostly in the pool playing. There were nice sunbeds around the pool and parasols. It was nice to stay in the shadow, as the weather was hot.
The 3 families had their own apartment, and I and my husband stayed with one of them. There were plenty of space both inside and outside around the premises.
Bruno, a neighbor and housekeeper, looked after the pool cleaning every morning. He was a nice guy.
There were two restaurants in the neighborhood only 10 minutes walk away. And we visited both of them, nice food and cheap. The restaurant, Tony; was the cheapest, and is situated next to the shop where you could buy food. The locals used this restaurant. The other restaurant was in the opposite direction going north, a bit more cozy and decorated.
Sevid is a little peninsula with small houses and villaes, quiet, not many tourists, and the people staying there were especially nice. The road from the main road getting there is narrow, sometimes steep and bumpy. We had some difficulty in finding the house. But the locals in the restaurant helped us. We had two cars, which was convenient for buying food at the market in Trogir.
We stayed around the house most of the time. We did not visit any other places.
I can warmly recommend a weeks stay at Amarillo Villa for a big family.
Stretching from Zadar in the north to the Bay of Kotor in the south, Dalmatia posses one of Europe most dramatic shorelines. Along the coast are beautifully preserved medieval towns, poised above some of the clearest waters in Europe, while further out there are a variety of islands adorned with ancient stone villages and enticing coves. This area offers a pleasant climate during summer months ranging from 20-25 c in May, June, Oct and up to 30-35 c in Aug and Sept. Krka National Park is approx 45mins drive and well worth a visit, with it's tumbling waterfalls and gurgling rapids it is a fun day out for all the family. You can either drive directly to the entrance of the park or get a boat up river from the town of Skradin. Trogir (25mins) is a warren of stone paved streets approx 2800yrs old with many restaurants and bars. Split (45mins) is one of the Adriatic's most vibrant cities with a modern harbour and crumbling old town. You can get ferries to Island Hvar and Brac Other Activities: There is use of a canoe at the apartment
