Amarillo Villas is located just 70m from the sea, in the stunningly beautiful bay of Sevid. We built the villa 10 years ago to a very high standard, and the layout of the 3 floors was designed to be spacious and open plan. We rent the property out either as a whole house or three self contained apartments. Each floor is 80sqm in size, with a large balcony that is 20sqm in size. The floor space of each apartment is approximately double the size of a standard Croatian apartment. There is ample off road parking for 4 cars. The well established and secluded garden is one of the highlights of our property which includes a 150 year old olive tree, a variety of citrus trees, cherry trees, a fig tree and an almond tree, along with a variety of other plants and herbs. You are welcome to help yourself to any of the fruits, should they be in season when you are there. The mosaic tiled swimming pool is perfect for cooling off and children always love making friends with our dolphin George, who lives at the bottom of the pool. Poolside loungers and parasols are provided, perfect for relaxing by the pool. There is a large poolside BBQ and there are two swings for children. The indoor and outdoor furniture was imported from the UK. The solid wooden sleigh beds with high quality sprung mattresses guarantee a good nights sleep. Each balcony has a solid teak dining table and four chairs, ideal for al-fresco dining and the solid teak steamers are perfect for relaxing, whilst enjoying the sea views. Each apartment has an indoor dining area with a large table and four chairs, and all the kitchens are fully equipped with the luxury of fan ovens and gas hobs, allowing you the option of eating in. The house has internet TV and full wireless internet access, which will work even by the pool. There are 2 spacious bedrooms on each floor, the master bedrooms have a large double bed, and the second bedrooms have 2 singles, there are also 3 good quality fold away beds with sprung mattresses and slatted bases, in case of extra guests, therefore sleeping 5 guests in each apartment. Each bathroom has a shower, and the bathrooms on the 1st and 2nd floor, both have full size jacuzzi baths. Guests are also permitted the use of a canoe, perfect for exploring the bay and there is also a mooring for a 7m boat (boat not supplied). Boats can be hired locally or in nearby Trogir.
Sevid offers the ideal location for a relaxing holiday with spectacular views of untouched Mediterranean landscape and crystal clear waters, that are perfect for swimming, snorkelling, water sports and exploring the bay. There is a small local shop, which supplies daily fresh bread and cakes, along with a large variety of everyday supplies, and two restaurants/bars.
I manufacture laminated bamboo garden umbrella's which are sold world wide. My wife is a nursery school teacher and we live in a small village near Guildford with our two daughter who are 8 and 10 years old. We all love Croatia and Sevid and it is like being at home.
Espa Faupel purchased this villa in 2003
Before we built the house in Sevid my wife and I spent in total of a few months traveling from the north of Croatia to Dubrovnik in the South and Sevid stood out from everywhere as a hidden gem. Sevid is the most easterly point of the Croatian coast and is known to have the clearest waters in Croatia. The small tranquil village of holiday villas overlooks 2 bays, set on a peninsular shaped like a whales tail and several islands, and on a clear day you can see as far as Island Hvar and Island Vis.
70 meters from crystal clear sea.
Stunning sea views.
Large spacious, luxurious rooms.
Beautiful well established secluded garden.
Tiled swimming pool.
Good quality furniture and fittings.
Full wireless internet.
Peaceful and away from the crowds.
I rented the villa for me, my husband and all my children, son and daughter in law and all 8 grandchildren from the age of 4 till 12 years old. We were 16 altogether and had a wonderful time.
The Croatian Sea is just marvelous, clear, salt and refreshing for swimming. It takes only 2 minutes to walk from the house to the sea. And we went swimming frequently. We stayed most of the time at the house around the pool where the kids were mostly in the pool playing. There were nice sunbeds around the pool and parasols. It was nice to stay in the shadow, as the weather was hot.
The 3 families had their own apartment, and I and my husband stayed with one of them. There were plenty of space both inside and outside around the premises.
Bruno, a neighbor and housekeeper, looked after the pool cleaning every morning. He was a nice guy.
There were two restaurants in the neighborhood only 10 minutes walk away. And we visited both of them, nice food and cheap. The restaurant, Tony; was the cheapest, and is situated next to the shop where you could buy food. The locals used this restaurant. The other restaurant was in the opposite direction going north, a bit more cozy and decorated.
Sevid is a little peninsula with small houses and villaes, quiet, not many tourists, and the people staying there were especially nice. The road from the main road getting there is narrow, sometimes steep and bumpy. We had some difficulty in finding the house. But the locals in the restaurant helped us. We had two cars, which was convenient for buying food at the market in Trogir.
We stayed around the house most of the time. We did not visit any other places.
I can warmly recommend a weeks stay at Amarillo Villa for a big family.
My friend and i were in need of a quiet and relaxing holiday, that's what we had !
We stayed in the ground floor apartment, it was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and well equipped with modern appliances.
outside we had a large veranda with teak table and chairs, perfect for alfresco dinning.
in the garden we had full use of the hot tub, swimming pool although we had to share that with 'George' a friendly dolphin !! we didn't use the bbq but it looked clean and well kept.
from the apartment it is a 2 minute walk to the sea, there is no beach as such but you have use of a private jetty with steps into the most chrystal clear sea.
Along the sea front is a local village shop that stocks all the essentials you need to get you by.The owners where also staying at the apartments while we were there, they were very welcoming and so helpful with ideas of places to see and great restaurant's to try.
i would highly recommend to anyone to go to Croatia and stay at Amarillo apartments its stunningly beautiful, great people, fabulous food.
Cant wait to go back next year
Had an excellent stay at Amarillo Villas, found the apartments to be larger than expected and and well appointed, we were able to use the pool and BBQ and enjoy sea views from the first floor apartment. It is the ideal spot for a relaxing holiday, i very much enjoyed swimming in the crystal clear waters of the coastline. I even bought a snorkel while away and was amazed at how deep you could see and how many species of fish swim so close to shore. Enjoyed it so much i forgot myself and caught the sun on my back that day.
We ate a few nights but enjoyed many a meal sat on the balcony watching the sun fade away and talking over the days events with a couple of glasses of wine.
The owner Espa was a pleasure to deal with, very friendly and accommodating. We will be looking to book here again.
What can i say, a beautiful part of the Croatian coastline. The apartments are just 30 seconds from the sea, which is handy for nice cooling dips during the day. We had glorious hot weather during are stay, great for using the BBQ and pool. Cevid is a lovely location, great for taking lots of photographs and is in a great position to visit other places in the area, Trogir, Split etc.
The apartments are only a 5 - 10 minute walk to a local shop and restaurant, which is very handy. On the subject of food, Croatian wine and food was excellent and we recommend trying the grilled octopus.
Looking forward to returning soon. :)
We had a lovely stay at Amarillo Villas, the apartment was light, spacious and well furnished. Though with such a beautiful coastline we spent most of are time down by the beach on the jetty, swimming and sunbathing. We back at the apartment we spend most time on the large balcony enjoying a beer and glass of wine with our meal.
We did however have a few lovely days and evenings out in Sibenik and Trogir where there are some excellent restraunts at reasonable prices. Overall couldn't fault the holiday and looking forward to booking again.
Not much to say really - great holiday, super accommodation, pool, BBQ, proximity to sea - all great. Description of property is accurate and doesn't even include the sea views from the 2nd floor which are lovely. Would have no hesitation in recommending this property and location to friends and family and have already done so. Espa, (the owner), was helpful, friendly and first class. We'll be back soon, George Miller, Scotland, Jul/Aug 2015
Stretching from Zadar in the north to the Bay of Kotor in the south, Dalmatia posses one of Europe most dramatic shorelines. Along the coast are beautifully preserved medieval towns, poised above some of the clearest waters in Europe, while further out there are a variety of islands adorned with ancient stone villages and enticing coves. This area offers a pleasant climate during summer months ranging from 20-25 c in May, June, Oct and up to 30-35 c in Aug and Sept. Krka National Park is approx 45mins drive and well worth a visit, with it's tumbling waterfalls and gurgling rapids it is a fun day out for all the family. You can either drive directly to the entrance of the park or get a boat up river from the town of Skradin. Trogir (25mins) is a warren of stone paved streets approx 2800yrs old with many restaurants and bars. Split (45mins) is one of the Adriatic's most vibrant cities with a modern harbour and crumbling old town. You can get ferries to Island Hvar and Brac
