We inherited this home from our parents who put years of love and improvements into it to make it a great place for family get togethers. Every holiday and summer vacation we (their two children) and our children would gather for good times in 'Meierhaus'.

We know it would be a comfortable home for you and yours.

Lou Meier purchased this house in 1968

Why Lou Meier chose Shasta Cascade

McCloud has many outdoor activities. Hiking, skiing, fishing, golf, and sight seeing are all within minutes.

It isa perfect location to get away from it all and relax.

Wonderful place=wonderful time!

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect house to rent for a few nights vacation after a busy holiday season. My husband and I were looking for a place near the snow to take our kids and dog, and the McCloud house was the perfect solution. The house was clean, super comfortable, and totally stocked with games which for a game loving family like mine was a delightful treat. My kids got a super kick out of the automatic card shuffler and we all got in some rounds off the playstation. The yard was great for my dog and the neighborhood was quiet! There was plenty of space in the house for all of us to relax and unwind after a day of playing in the snow. The kitchen was fully stocked with all kinds of cooking utensils and the bedrooms were fully made up and ready to sleep in. My family and I are excited to have future vacations at this wonderful house! Thank you so much!

Perfect for nature vacation

  • 5 of 5

This McCloud house was perfect for a natural get-away. Located in a historic village, the house offers easy access to all the main fishing holes, Mt. Shasta views, and comfortable sleeping arrangements, especially for a group.

Perfect for families, feels like home

  • 5 of 5

This home was PERFECT for our family. It was clean, well stocked with amenities, and well cared for. The woman overseeing the property was friendly, and very helpful. After flying across country to come to visit quaint McCloud and our grandparents, we felt instantly comfortable and at home. The beds were made for us, towels fresh and clean, kitchen stocked with cooking needs- just what these travelers needed!! The upstairs was perfect for our four children, and there was plenty of space for all. They enjoyed playing in the private fenced in backyard. If ever visiting again, we will most DEFINITELY be staying here. A home away from home!

Fantastic house at a great location

  • 5 of 5

We rented the house for a couple of days and found it excellent. It is ideally located to access the different waterfalls and mountains in the Mt.Shasta region. The interior of the house was well decorated and equipped with all the required amenities. 2 days were less to enjoy this house. Hope to be back soon. I would like to make special mention of Kelly who takes care of the house. She was very helpful and helped us out when one of our car batteries died.

Wonderful house!

  • 5 of 5

We planned our trip in the last minute and found this amazing house. The owner was very responsive and very detailed and patient in answering my questions. We went there with my in-laws and they liked the place so much. Didn't feel like leaving the place.

This house can easily accommodate 20 people. We will definitely come back with a bigger crowd.

Great McCloud stay.

  • 5 of 5

Very convient to fishing the McCloud and the Upper Sac.Very CLEAN! This house has everything you need. Just bring poles and clothes. LOVED the sunroom and back deck. Yard was sunny, private and had nice grass. Fenced yard was perfect for our dogs. Priced better than other McCloud properties. We feel we have found "our spot". The only thing lacking was internet access, but it is available at the coffee shop in town.We will be back.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write this! We are glad you enjoy our property, and look forward to having you again. Pretty soon you'll feel like locals, in McCloud! Do you walk to the cafe? You can take different routes, see different parts of town. Lots of history, there. Thanks again. By the way, we now have internet.
