4 Bed Stunning Waterfront Property to sleep 8 in tranquil surroundings-Redcastle
Why Yvonne Mitchell chose Moville
We built our holiday home as a true 'get away from it all' on the shores of Lough Foyle with its ever changing views. Inishowen is a stunning area in Ireland which has truly welcoming locals with a lovely relaxed attitude to life. We found that there were very few holiday homes offering a true 'home from home' with a luxurious touch so we very much focused on creating something very unique which is very private and yet not remote. We hadn't factored in often daily visits from the family of seals but it just adds to the whole experience!
What makes this House unique
- The ever changing sky and seascape of Lough Foyle - 20 minutes drive from the historic city of Derry/Londonderry (UK's first City of Culture) - 12 minutes drive from the Lough Foyle car ferry which transports you on the ferry in the summertime to Northern Ireland from where you can easily visit the Giant's Causeway, Bushmills Distillery, Dunluce Castle and Carraig-a-rede rope bridge (if you are brave enough!)
Max guests: 8

Beautiful house in a stunning location
The house comes with everything you can think of: toys for the kids, an outdoor jacuzzi, beautiful views, a family of seals chilling on some rocks in front of the property, a bath with views of the sea, a lovely fireplace and many good restaurants and things to do close by. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to have the chance to stay there again in the future!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review!
We look forward to hopefully welcoming you back in the future.
Best Wishes, Yvonne
Private house in a stunning setting
This is a lovely very private house in a simply stunning location. It is very well kitted out for cooking and entertaining and is close to good shops in Moville for provisions. There are excellent beaches nearby and beautiful views at numerous points just North on the wild Atlantic way. We enjoyed seeing the seals daily on the rocks below the property, had some very good fish based meals at Keeleys Restaurant in nearby Greencastle and enjoyed an impromtu trip across from Greencastle on the ferry to Magiligan point and then on to Benone beach. The walk along the coast from Moville to Greencastle is very pleasant. The 'Housekeeper' was really helpful and full of local information. I would recommend this house very highly and would definitely return
Fantastic, relaxing hideaway
When looking for accommodations,I was intrigued by the photo taken from the deck. If anything, the photo doesn’t do the view justice. The variety of colors and shades from sunrise to sunset are amazing. We were visited by up to 5 seals during various times during our stay. The house is amazing, both in terms of layout and amenities. We particularly enjoyed coffee in the sun room or on the deck. Soaking in the hot tub was a great way to end a long day of exploring. Yvonne provided excellent information on Shorefront and the surrounding area. We would definitely recommend Shorefront to anyone visiting County Donegal.
we went as a family my daughter & husband ,son & his wife my two grandchildren & my wife & myself. the property was just set upper our every need.Would return again in a heart beat.
Spectacular property in a great location
Our family of eight (ages 3 to 66) from across the U.S. gathered at Shorefront for a week in July 2018. From the online reviews and photographs, we had expected a lovely house, view, and location, but the actual property exceeded our high expectations. The location on the Foyle is convenient to shops and pubs and restaurants (recommend The Boathouse nearby and Rosato's in Moville), to boating and hiking and Derry. The shore is gently tidal, allowing the kids to go in the water and look at the seals that are permanent fixtures on the rocks just 50 feet from the deck. The site is very private despite being close to some other houses. The house itself is beautifully decorated and equipped, and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms suitable for a large family. The kitchen was big enough and well enough equipped to allow us to cook big family meals when we didn't want to eat out. The house even had children's toys, a delight for our three-year-old. Melita, who maintains the property for the owners, was welcoming and friendly and helpful.
We hope to return to Shorefront sometime.
Hello John and family, Delighted you all enjoyed your stay at Shorefront and in the local area. Best Wishes, Yvonne
A wonderful house in an amazing location
This is an amazing house which we have grown to love as the week has gone on. We think its an exceptional house with an exceptional location and view of the sea. We enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and the wonderful views from all the rooms in the house and the access to the rock pools. We had the pleasure of Freddie and his entourage until the storm on wednesday evening and a rather beautiful heron which kept returning every day when the tide was out. Had lobsters from Donegal prime fish and ate out on the deck , breakfast and dinner until the weather changed. We love cooking and love buying local produce , the kitchen is very well equipped and lacks for nothing. We loved the a gale force storm one night . We loved the a gale force storm one night and the next day enjoyed a stunning rainbow as we sipped champagne and negronis. I hope we will come back some time , we travel alot , all seven continents , stayed in many different places and in many different countries, Shorefront is one of the best. All in all an exceptional house and experience.
