Our home is designed for comfort and convenience and yet is one of the lowest priced 2 bedroom units in the Sunchase IV Resort. It has granite countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, washer-dryer in the unit, filtered water and ice in the refrigerator door, and two recliners in front of the flat-screen HDTV in the living area. TVs in each bedroom and ceiling fans in all rooms. This is our home in the winter each year and so we know when something needs to be added or replaced.

The amenities provided by Sunchase IV Resort are unique -- 2 pools (one heated), 2 hot tubs, 2 tennis courts, 2 air-conditioned racquetball courts , 2 air-conditioned ping-pong rooms, a fitness center, a seventh floor sundeck, and a library. The racquetball courts also accomodate badminton and pickleball. Of course the main attraction at South Padre Island is the beach which is just outside our East gate.

About Dean and Martha Isaacson

Dean (professor) and Martha (administrative assistant) both retired recently from Iowa State University (Ames, IA). We have four children and eight grandchildren. They all enjoy spending a week or more in the winter on the beach with us each year. We spend six months in Texas as 'snow birds' and the rest of our time in Iowa, Colorado, and visiting children/grandchildren. We have decided to avoid snow!

Why Dean and Martha Isaacson chose Texas Gulf Coast

We wanted this second property in Sunchase IV to accommodate our friends and family when they visited. In 2004 we bought this property which is just down the hall from our first condominium. (See #331934 for our first property.) We loved the architecture at Sunchase IV and found the amenities to be perfect for us. We regularly use the heated pool, hot tub, racquetball courts and beach. When we are not actively enjoying the options, we love the view of the beach and the water!

What makes this condo unique

South Padre Island has a variety of good restaurants and entertainment opportunities. We enjoy the fact that it offers both gulf and bay fishing close to the condo. The air conditioned racquetball courts are rare in a condominium complex and we use them often. The FREE bus allows one to get to any venue without needing to drive.

This was our first time staying at Sunchase IV and this unit was very nicely furnished. It made us feel right at home. The only suggestion is a chair in the master bedroom. The unit is very nicely decorated & welcoming. We will definitely be coming back to Sunchase IV! Thanks! OWNER COMMENT: Thanks for the suggestion. We have added a chair to the master bedroom. Excellent stay at South Padre Island at Sunchase IV

Unit 327 was perfect for our stay. It had great views of the beach and a balcony on the east side. Nice morning sun then shaded for the rest of the day. The unit was neat and clean and had all the items needed for preparing meals except your food. Kids loved the pool and big hot tub. Great location with easy access to the beach, local restaurants and activites, but quiet too. We hope to make another trip and get this same unit. Our week was over too soon!

Nice

The condo was great!! Our only problem was the stairs were slick by the pool. They (the condo association) need to put something down. Falling down the stairs is no fun. Luckily only injuries were bruises and abrasions and extreme stress making sure everyone was ok.

Perfect beach condo

Loved our stay at this condo!

This is the second time we rented from the Isaacson's and I only wish we could have stayed longer than 6 nights, missing it already.

The view is awesome, watching the sun rise from the balcony is priceless.

The condo has everything you need and is perfect for a family of 4 - 6, though you could easily fit 8 with a couple of rollaways (if allowed).

Complex has easy access, is conveniently located, has plenty of parking and is generally very clean except for maybe the expected beach sand everywhere.

Overall another very positive experience - We will be back :)

Second year stay at this condo!!

Last year this condo was a pleasant surprise for my family and I - we enjoyed our stay so much!! So we came back this year!! Same condo - we call it our vacation home. It has everything you need including a beautiful view of the ocean! We love the way it is furnished. And it had everything we needed to cook all of our meals.

We love being so close to the beach, as well as, how clean and beautiful the beach is here.

We will be back next year!

South Padre Island is a vacationer’s paradise. The sandy beaches are excellent for sunbathing, swimming, shell hunting, castle building and leisurely walking. The gulf and bay provide opportunities for surfing, kite boarding, wind surfing and fishing. A World Birding Center and a sea turtle hospital are located next to the Convention Center. Schlitterbahn Beach waterpark is just down the road...or a short walk down the beach. There are all types of restaurants in walking distance. McDonald's and Denny's are just outside our gates and in a short walk are several cafe's and full serivce restaurants.
