We spent a week here at the end of the Summer with another couple and had a fabulous time. As soon as we entered the home, all of the stress of life in the city started to melt away. The house is situated off the main road and then back from the road that leads to the private beach. So it is as if you are living in a forest, there are lots of birds that visit each day. There is a comfort to this house that makes you feel like it is "home away from home." There is art on the walls, it is comfortably decorated and well maintained, with a kitchen that is fully stocked and plenty of space to relax both indoors and outdoors. We especially loved spending time on the roof deck watching the shooting stars at night. We barbecued, walked to the beach and took trips to shop and eat in P-Town, Welfleet and other nearby towns. It is worth the trip if you are looking to relax and soak in the best that the Cape has to offer!
This is a very buggy, moldy house. The pictures and reviews do not capture the problems. Everything is rusty, cheap, moldy and aging. Screens do not fit windows, sheets do not fit beds. The entire "entertainment system" mentioned in the writeup is either broken or unavailable, despite our repeated complaints and a snotty response from the owner.
We have been renting on the Cape for decades- this was the worst. Avoid.
The views and sunsets from the top deck are breathtaking! The perfect location for peace and quiet and access to a beautiful private beach. It is worth getting the pass for all the other Truro beaches as well as they are spectacular. The house was extremely comfortable and spacious. We loved the open floor plan and enjoyed great dinners together after a day at the beach. We found the property clean and well cared for and it was the perfect lay out for our family. The beds were very comfortable.
It was really fun being so close to Ptown and enjoying all the festivities of the 4th of July and with the shuttle we didn't have to worry about parking! So many great restaurants to enjoy and shows to see and don't forget to see what is playing at the Provincetown Theater. What a great vacation for us!
We rented this house for the week and it is the best location on the cape. We enjoyed the private bay beach a short walk down the road. We were able to enjoy our paddle board , kayaks, and floats on the bay. We rode our bikes a short 2 miles to the fantastic ocean beaches.. We swam in the waves and enjoyed the seals as they swam by. We took the shuttle for an evening in P-Town..Our weather was great but even if we had rain this house would have us allowed us plenty of room for indoor games and dining. We enjoyed our nightly BBQ dinners on the extensive deck.. Best part was sunset on the roof deck or star gazing.. Lastly we thought the game closet was filled with a great array of family entertainment.. Thanks again for helping our vacation to be a great time!!
