About Leslie Fernandes

My husband and I love vacationing in the mountains to get away from the hustle and bustle and feel like we are a million miles away from everything, yet still so close to everything and Maggie Valley offers this! We have visited many different mountain towns, but when we came across Maggie Valley we fell in love with this quaint town.

We have 3 other vacation rentals in Maggie Valley one is within walking distance (Creekside Hideaway I). Below are the listing numbers for our other vacation rentals in Maggie Valley, NC. - Creekside Hideaway I - Up & Away Cabin - Buck 'N Ham Lodge

Leslie Fernandes purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Leslie Fernandes chose Maggie Valley

We fell in love with this property because of the tranquil soothing sounds of the creek and we love to sit on the wrap around rocking chair porch that spans three sides of the home. Inside, the home is so warming and inviting, tastefully decorated with lodge style decor.

What makes this cabin unique

Creekside Hideaway II is located just a minute off of Soco Rd in the heart of Maggie Valley, in a quiet area and within walking distance of Maggie Valley's main sidewalk! Another great benefit of this home is it is located on a flat lot, which makes it perfect for everyone. You can bring a trailer, park several cars and/or motorcycles in the long wide flat driveway (~160' long). We feature a trailer turnaround! Along the driveway is a beautifully landscaped yard... another nice spot for kids to run around!

Year round easy access!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Wow! What a vacation we had in beautiful North Carolina. I want to thank you for allowing us to rent your Creekside Hideaway home - it was PERFECT in every way! Your home had everything we wanted: very clean, spacious and nicely decorated rooms, gorgeous setting, the running creek and all the amenities we needed. Our family felt very at home in your Maggie Valley home.

We were able to take advantage of many of the area attractions. We visited Chimney Rock, The Biltmore, The Blue Ridge Parkway, Clingman's Dome, Gatlinburg, Ziplining in Asheville, Waterrock Knob, and Cherokee just to name a few. We also checked out some of the amazing waterfalls: Soco Falls, Mingo Falls and Looking Glass Falls. I loved it all! But, I have to say, I really appreciated just sitting on your back deck and listening to the creek. It was so relaxing and just what our family needed.

We would really like to visit again one day, and if we do, we'll be sure to stay in your Creekside Hideaway.

Many thanks,

Can't wait to go back next year!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 5 days at the beginning of August. We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the weather was, and there were virtually no bugs even though we were on a wooded lot. We spent a bulk of the time outside in the yard and on the beautiful wrap around porch. The kids played in the creek outback every day. We were 5 adults and 3 kids and we had plenty of room. The kids loved the loft area with the bunk beds, and the slide from the porch to the yard was awesome! The town of Maggie valley is fantastic, everyone we met was so friendly. The owner, Leslie was great, she answered every question we had quickly, and called us after our trip to see how we enjoyed our stay! We are already planning our trip for next year!

Absolutely wonderful!!! This was the perfect location for our family of 5 and my parents. The house was quite roomy and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots, pans, and dishes you could ever possibly need. The children ( ages 6, 13, and 15 ) had a fabulous time playing in the creek, on the playset, and with the tetherball. My husband, my dad, and I loved playing corn hole on the porch on those rainy days and my mom enjoyed rocking away on the big wraparound porch. There was something for everyone! The house was situated between all the area attractions. Putting us just a short drive to places like The Biltmore Estates, The Smoky Mountain National Park, The Blue Ridge Parkway, Clingmans Dome, and Sliding Rock just to name a few. As an added bonus to booking this lovely house Leslie the owner sent us a thorough list and directions to sites to see, things to do, and places to eat and shop. Thank you again for a wonderful trip!!! We will defiantly recommend your location to all our friends and family!

Owner's Response: Wanted to thank you again for staying at Creekside Hideaway II. It is my top priority to have exceptionally clean and comfortable vacation rentals. If for any reason something was missed on the cleaning, we would have fixed it right away as well as replaced any worn linens. Unfortunately, my property manager and I were never notified of your concerns with the floors or the linens during your stay. I frequently replace worn linens (including towels, blankets, bedspreads, pillows, etc), and I have recently added new linens as well as new mattresses. We will definitely check all of the linens to make sure any worn items are pulled out my inventory. I apologize that the cleaning crew missed the floors in the kitchen/dining area during their cleaning. As a returning guest you know this is not the norm. I go out of my way to make all my guests happy. In fact we were able to accommodate your request for early check-in. I like to make all my guests comfortable during their stay and I would have liked the opportunity to resolve your concerns. Thank you so much for your feedback and we will do our best to prevent this from happening again.

Great size and location for our family of 10!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay here and it had everything we needed. The kids loved the playground and creek behind the house and the adults enjoyed the corn hole boards. The house was very well kept and clean upon our arrival. We had plenty of room (6 adults, 4 kids) and didn't find ourselves needing anything!

We had such a good time with the family. The grandkids loved the playground and slide. Creek was a great place for them to hang out and explore. Easy to get to but felt secluded. Will definitely book again.
