As someone with a degree in hotel management, I love to be able to accommodate our guest as if they are home. Their satisfaction is very important to us.
We restored this 1880's brownstone preserving all of historic features, but in the same time providing all the luxury with high tech communication infrastructure of an office. For example every corner of the apartments are wired for 100 GB internet connection.
We have I believe a unique property in one of the nicest areas of Manhattan with all the amenities we could possibly offer, ie; high speed wired and WIFI internet, Custom made European kitchen with Miele Appliances, Washer/Dryer, IP based video intercom etc.
I stayed at Izi' s apartment for 9 months during my study at Columbia University. Conditions went beyond the listing description. First of all the neighborhood provides a wonderful experience for living as a real New Yorker. The area between Amsterdam and Columbus is full of shops and restaurants. You will reach Central Park (great lawn, Jackie O. reservoir) within a few steps if you walk towards East. It is a complete bliss on Sundays full of families, couples, pet lovers, sports addicts:) If you turn West at the doorstep, you can easily catch the no1 train on Broadway which is the main local line in Manhattan. Gristedes on Columbus and Key Foods on Amsterdam will be your main groceries with fresh and affordable items. You can even walk to Zabar's which is a real NY landmark, for cheese from all over the world or kosher food.
The apartment amenities are modern, convenient and well maintained. Izi goes above all expectations in finding solutions to all the needs you may think of. Sheets are new and always clean and the apartment is very clean. Bathroom is very hygienic , there is 24 hour hot water and the equipment is brand new. Kitchen is well equipped with the best of tools. The pull out couch can easily turn into an additional double bed. Complimentary washing machine and the dryer in the basement provides laundry without having to go outside. TV and cable are also available if you can stay inside in Manhattan:) Wi-Fi is top quality. There is plenty of space in the bedroom closet for all your items including luggage. Izi has even thought of umbrellas in case a sudden shower catches you. His assistant Elio is there whenever you need help.
As a result, my experience in New York was a life time remembrance and I'm happy to express real gratitude from the top of my heart to Izi and his team.
The apartment is in an brownstone on the Upper West Side. Perfect location. I loved the neighborhood. Near Central and Riverside Parks. Public transportation within easy walking distance. Lots of restaurants nearby. Great food shopping at Zabars, Fairway, Trader Joe's. Apartment small but cozy. Very quiet. Landlord is very helpful and available. He handled any issue in a professional and prompt manner. Very friendly and easy to work with. WIFI and cable TV worked well. Even my ATT cell phone had a good signal. I am looking forward to returning.
Rave reviews for this apartment! The pictures and description are completely accurate. What they don't tell you is this could possibly be the quietest, most comfortable spot on the Upper West Side.
First, the location is in a real neighborhood. Only a couple blocks to the 1 line subway on Broadway, or the B/C on Central Park West. Many food markets close by, including Zabars.
Second, the apartment has everything you need including a beautiful laundry in the basement. My husband spent a week with me and there was more than adequate storage for both of us. Our son is a Columbia student and we had some great family dinners, sitting around the marble topped kitchen island. The bed was very comfortable, even for two tall adults.
Third, Izi is perhaps the most responsive property manager I've ever found. After 21 years of visiting NYC, and some very bad hotel experiences, Izi exceeded all expectations. He was there to meet me when I arrived. Every detail of the apartment was clearly explained. He was on site most days. On the rare occasion I had a question, Izi was available by phone and email.
I was not ready to leave at the end of my month, and will definitely return in the future. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to be a short term resident of NYC. Cheers!
We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was clean,well maintained, had great appliances, was attractively furnished and a kitchen that was well stocked with everything that one would need to cook. The owner/manager(Izi) couldn't do enough for us and was always there if we needed anything. The location is superb! Close to 2 subway lines and uptown and downtown buses as well. There are restaurants in all price ranges within a half a block of the apartment. And best of all the apartment is a block and a half to Central Park and the walking and running track of the reservoir. We would certainly recommend this property to friends and relatives. I stayed for two months in this apartment, which is comfortable and well furnished, clean and tidy. The location is simply the best you can have in the Upper West Side, near Central Park and the best known shops of the city. The neighbourhood is quiet and people are very kind. I am looking forward to coming next year!
Coming from the Midwest, I definitly had sticker shock at how much apartments cost in Manhattan and especially the small size of them. However, I've also never had a property manager (Izi) be so professionally concerned with making sure my stay was comfortable. From the moment I arrived, he was there to make sure I had everything I needed. He set up my internt connection, dropped off hangers, ice cube trays, extra pillows, pretty much anything I needed. He is a very hard worker and was always very pleasant (but never imposing). The apartment itself was nicely organized (all new) and had a washer/dryer and a private patio which is unheard of in Manhattan. If you can afford it, I would definitly recommend staying at this apartment. Nice neighborhood too.
