This cabin sleeps 2 in the bedroom. The loft features 2 twin beds, and the sofas fold down for additional sleeping needs. There is an open kitchen with full appliances and a breakfast bar and dining room table. The large backyard has a beautiful picnic area, and the cabin is on a quiet cul-de-sac next to the forest. The loft sleeps two comfortably. The sofas make into beds for additional sleeping.
Perfect spot for a family vacation on a budget.
Had another great summer at this A-frame in the pines, our 3rd and have already reserved our 4th! Its no frills, but comfortable. The cabin is well stocked for a short or extended stay and the owner provides great customer service. The location in Munds Park offers access to all the amenities of Flagstaff and the surrounding area and the tranquility of the forest. Have visited the Canyon and Sedona numerous times as we are so close, La Posada, Antelope Canyon, the North Rim to name only a few of the destinations within a day's travel. Already looking forward to next summer.
Other than the unusual hot Arizona weather this year (June 2016) during our stay, this quiet well kept unit was a good choice.
The wife and I loved the cozy A frame cottage, more then enough hiking just outside your back door, beautiful weather really couldn't ask for anything more. Highly recommend staying at this cottage. Clean place homeowner was great easy to work with.
Attractive interior, clean, & warm on cold nites. Enjoyed our stay.
This is a very comfortable A Frame at a very affordable price. It is in a very quiet neighborhood, and very easy to walk to several entrances to the Coconino National Forest. At the beginning of our stay, it was cold enough in the morning to need the heat turned on; but when the record high temps came later in June, it became too hot to stay inside in the afternoons. The home has an overhead fan in the living room and two small portable fans, but that was not enough. We even brought two large fans from home and that was still not enough when there are above average temps. Other than the lack of cooling during the above average afternoon temps, we enjoyed the cabin - it is clearly as advertised, a relaxing and peaceful location in the mountains.
My husband and I visited the cottage over my fall break. We were looking for something with 2 bedrooms because our adult daughter often travels with us. After I had made the reservation she decided not to go. It was perfect for the 2 of us. As it says in the description, the stairs are steep, and our disabled daughter would not have been able to safely navigate them. That being said the were fine for us. It is in a beautiful setting and had everything we needed. We only ate one meal out and that was a stop in Cold Springs for pie on the way home. It was close enough to Flagstaff and all there is to do in the area, but far enough away that we didn't have the hustle and bustle often associated with the city. We were able to visit Bearizona, Lava River Caves, golf, hike and visit with friends in Flagstaff. We liked that it is located in a quiet area that was very peaceful. In the early mornings and evenings we were able to hike the trails behind the cottage, and just walk around the neighborhood. The stars at night are amazing, and since we had perfect weather we could see them every night. We have already recommended the cottage to friends and look forward to our next trip to Munds Park.
Perfect place for day trips to Flagstaff, Walnut Canyon, Sedona, Grand Canyon, Jerome, Cottoowood, and Verde Valley. Enjoy your stay in this charming cabin bordered by the country's largest ponderosa pines of the Coconino National Forest. This cabin is fully furnished with internet, satellite TV, and a cute Franklin stove.
