Our home is appointed and thoughtfully designed to evoke a sense of casual elegance. Inside find tasteful style decor with natural tile flooring throughout with area rugs. Wide-open living, dining and kitchen areas maximize light and views through sliding glass doors. 3 flat screen Tvs, DVDs, Ipod dock, & stereo. 2 queen bedrooms, one with a private bathroom. 1 full guest bathroom tub/shower.

The home offers a new queen sleeper sofa in the living area for the occasional guest.

Gourmet kitchen featuring cream-colored custom wood cabinetry, granite counter tops and all new appliances. Offers a queen master bedroom with private tile bath and a queen guest bedroom, all with plush, comfortable high-quality bedding. You will also find a queen pull-out sofa in the living area with memory foam mattress.

This property is privately gated with intercom and electronic gate operation. The unit is completely fenced off from neighboring homes and from each other, with dense tropical foliage providing complete privacy.

The home is located just 3 blocks of the famous Hugh Taylor Birch Park. This park is an oasis of tropical hammocks-a gift from Hugh Taylor Birch to Florida's posterity. His former estate preserves four distinct natural communities, nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. Visitors can rent a canoe and paddle along a mile-long freshwater lagoon or fish from the seawall. Nature lovers can hike along two short trails and learn about local plants and wildlife while bicyclists and skaters glide along the paved park road. Visitors can access the beach via the pedestrian tunnel under A1A. Picnic areas overlook the channel; pavilions with water and electricity are available for rental. A group/youth campground is available to organized groups. The Terramar Visitor Center features displays regarding the area's natural and cultural history.

Our stay in the house was wonderful. The house was super clean upon our arrival. Having rented vacation properties for many years, your house was (by far) the best stocked with supplies for a temporary stay. There is adequate pots and pans, etc. as well as umbrellas for a day out in the rain. The proximity to the beach is just right. The gentleman (can't remember his name) who manages the property in Ft. Lauderdale was extremely nice and helpful, I've never experienced a managment company so willing to be of assistance. Thanks for a great time in Florida. If we ever head that way again, we will certainly use your home.

Perfect and Private

We had a great stay at Highland Palms. Quick, easy walk across the street to the beach. Good quality beach chairs and umbrellas were provided. The pool and hot tub were ideal for the evening or a quick dip to cool off. Easy Uber pick up and less than 10mins to the main part of Ft Lauderdale Beach. Everything was as advertised and very clean. We had some A/C issues the 1st night but Vincent, the property manager, was there quickly and worked hard to find an after-hours company to fix it. We'd certainly stay again!

Private Tropical Beach

My husband and I recently stayed at this property and it was beautiful, relaxing and very private. Vincent was a great property Manager and we experienced no issues as well as booking it was very easy. If you are looking for a laid back getaway with no hassle, easy access to airport as well as beach access and privacy this is the perfect place. We plan on returning here soon. And the "weather" was wonderful, hated to return to rain and no sun. Already wish we were back there for another stay. KUDOS to the excellence in customer service. ** 5 STARS **

Awesome home, beautiful property, nice location- wish it had better management.

Our family had a great vacation staying in this home. We spent a lot of time at the nearby beach and the beautiful pool/patio area. The hot tub, BBQ grill, and outdoor shower were all nice features. The home is well decorated and feels much larger than it is. We really had a great experience staying in this home as opposed to hotel (this was our first stay in a vacation home) There is plenty of shopping and amenities located nearby. The banana tree and other wildlife in the yard is wonderful.

We were disappointed with the management of this property. There were a number of issues that we found questionable. During our stay, there was fence repair work and city inspections. You would think that these wouldn't be scheduled during a paid stay. One of the showers had a clogged drain which the manager was unable to fix, so we only had 1 usable shower for the entire stay. All of the doors and windows are equipped with poorly installed alarms that frequently fall off emitting a loud alarm (including at 2 am). The alarms were really a problem for us because they render all doors and windows unusable. The laundry room has a strong gas leak that we were told is normal (I'm a contractor- it's not). We certainly could have done without the manager openly discussing his anarchist/anti American political views as well.

WARNING- The manager strongly recommended "Bo Kempers" restaurant. We went there and had our credit card info stolen and used for fraudulent charges. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

We would definitely consider staying here again if put under better management. Keep in mind that this home is in a busy city neighborhood, but the yard is very private. Lastly- they were slow returning our deposit. We had to wait past their stated 14 days- had we not called, I wonder how long they would've taken.

Owner's Response: Hello, we wanted to respond to Mr. Harland's comments. It is unfortunate that there were some instances that interrupted Harland's stay with us. The city did require to do an inspection on a fence repair during Harland's stay. We discussed the inspection with Harland ahead of time and offered him a discount for his inconvenience. There was also a plumbing issue that occurred a couple days after Harland's checked in. Unfortunately, the property manager was not able to unclog the drain. Harland confirmed that he was fine with using the other toilet during his stay. He preferred for the plumber to address the issue after his departure. Two days later the plumber serviced the drain and discovered the clog was created by feminine products being recently flushed down the toilet. We approached Harland with the plumber’s findings and asked him if it was possible that someone in his party may have placed the products in the toilet. We needed to obtain as much information as possible for the owner to determine if the plumbing fee would be charged to Harland. Harland understandably was not happy with us requesting this information. We did the best we could to be sure the owner was fair with Harland. Due to the investigation, Harland's security was held up a few days beyond the 14 days stated in his contract. I am happy to report, that we got the owner to agree to release Harland from any responsibility and refund his security deposit in full. We are sorry that Harland did not see our efforts in trying to manage the unfortunate circumstances that occurred during his stay. Great property really close to the beach.

My wife and I stayed at this amazing property from Oct 27 to Nov 2 2016. We take our kids to Disneyland every year and all ways stay in a hotel (Marriott, Hyatt, or Embassy Suites). This time for our vacation to Fort Lauderdale we decided to rent this house. I was skeptical about the quality and service at first, but when we got to the property we were immediately pleased with the house. Everything was cleaned and organized inside the house. The fact to have a private hot tub and the heated pool is a bonus. It is very nice to be on vacation and not been woken up by the vacuum because the housekeeping service is cleaning the room next to yours when staying at hotels. The beach is so close that we walked bare foot to the beach.

Ismael the property manager was very friendly and professional. We had some issues with the internet and it was fix right away. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you will get. We got nothing but first class service. This property will be our first choice next time we go to Florida. We highly recommend this house.
