About Bette or Brian

Hi, On retiring 10 years ago we began searching for a vacation home where we could pursue an active lifestyle and enjoy family. Osoyoos fit the bill and we purchased our townhouse at Casa del Mila Oro. We are able to enjoy this home for a couple of months each year and share it with our guests for the remaining months. We have been very fortunate in having renters who return year after year and treat our home as their own. We're always looking for more families and snowbirds to enjoy this beautiful location!

Why Bette or Brian chose Okanagan Valley

We knew when we retired that we wanted to purchase vacation property in the Okanagan and chose Osoyoos for the friendly, small town atmosphere, beauty of the lake and surrounding desert, orchards and wineries. The specific location at Casa del Mila Oro was selected for the view over the lake to Haynes Point, the Sante Fe design of the resort and the opportunity to moor a boat at the front door.

What makes this townhome unique

While staying in our townhouse in Osoyoos we especially enjoy cycling many trails in the Osoyoos, Oliver and Naramata areas. We love to visit local wineries for wine tasting and lunches with friends! We take in the Wine festivals in the spring and fall and enjoy the quiet of the resort before the summer visitors and excitement arrive. The summer is for water sports, golf, morning walks, and socializing with family and friends (Children really enjoy Rattlesnake Canyon and the Spirit Ridge Desert Center). Winter has its own unique attractions especially skiing and snowshoeing at nearby Mt Baldy. So, our resort offers us year round enjoyment!

Highly Recommended Perfect Accomodation

Perfectly decorated and maintained heat/AC Lakefront Condo, much more than what you should expect. Large and comfortable beds ... even a sofa bed at ground level if you do not feel for stairs. 3 cable TVs, High Speed WiFi, gas fireplace, gas BBQ, great stylish kitchen ... and central vac. Lot of lights everywhere! Even an attached garage!

Owners are very accessible via email. We had a wonderful time there. Thank you very much Bette and Brian!!!

Exceptional, first class lakeside condo

From the moment we stepped through the door of Bette and Brian's condo we knew we were in for a fabulous week in Osooyos and the Okanagan. Beautiful views, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, fabulous kitchen, and welcoming patio exceeded our expectations. Great location to tour local wineries and other points of interest.

We have stayed at Bette and Brian's lake site home for the past 3 years. Very spacious and great for families large and small. Such at nice deck to enjoy the view , and discuss (enjoy) the great wines picked up at the local wineries or those within short drive .The location is wonderful and easy access to all the activities in the area . Short walk to restaurants , shopping , and scenic neighborhoods. Rattle Snake Canyon for Ice Cream. The local community gym provides opportunity for full workout and other amenities . Many hiking trials within either a walk or short drive. Information available in the townhouse or tourist center . Bette and Brian are available if you are in need of anything.

50th anniversary summer vacation celebration

We had an amazing week long stay at Bette and Brian's home. The location is perfect for accessing the lake and walking into town, and going for runs along the lake. If you have a boat there are boat slips available.The beds are very comfortable! Our teenage son stayed on the pullout couch and said is was very comfortabe. the townhouse is spacious. It accommodated 4 adults and 4 teenagers comfortably.

Summer getaway

My family and our friends stayed in this townhouse for a week. It was the perfect home base for us (4 adults, 3 children) and had everything we could ask for. Being on ground level and walking distance to the beach (across the street) and pool (on the property) was perfect with young children who still need a couple naps a day. The home itself was gorgeous. It was much bigger than expected, with plenty of room to hang out, have friends over for dinner, etc. The bedrooms were comfortable and homey, as well as spacious. We spent most of our time on the patio but were grateful for the AC on the hot days! Amazing views, great location, and lovely home. Can't wait to visit again next summer!

Wonderful April in Osoyoos

My husband and I had the great good luck to spend the beautiful month of April at Bette and Brian's perfect Osoyoos townhouse. The place felt like home immediately, and was carefully outfitted with everything one could wish for a pleasant stay. It was exceptionally clean and spacious, and we enjoyed entertaining there. We used the patio area frequently and never tired of the amazing lake views. Neighbours on all sides were friendly, and the walk downtown or along Lakeshore Drive was just right for us. Bette and Brian were very responsive and helpful hosts, a true pleasure to deal with.

Snowbirds particularly enjoy curling at the local center and dancing at the Seniors' Center or in nearby Keremeos. Oliver has a retro cinema with current films and a hospital (medical center in Osoyoos). You can make friends and participate in Art programs at the local gallery. Tour Home Harware, possibly the best in North America?
