|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
My 'Treehouse' apartment sits atop a redwood building on my one acre property in Carmel Valley above the Carmel Valley 'Village' and the Carmel River. It is nestled among over 20 lovely, old oak trees with lots of light, sun and views– beyond the fog belt of the coast yet under 20 minutes from Carmel.
A wide staircase winds up to the deck with table and seating (smoking allowed outside, only) and the double doors to the apartment. The all redwood building has a peaked, open beam, tongue and groove ceiling with cathedral-shaped stained glass windows on each end and Pella, screened windows throughout.
Plush carpet reigns with oak parquet in the full kitchen and tile in the full bath (shower)– the effect is light and lovely! Extremely well insulated, the 'Treehouse' has a gas wall heater; in summer the ocean breezes come in early afternoon to cool and the days are fog free.
Parking is off street and covered behind full fencing and an electric gate. Covered parking for a second car by request.
Desiree, thank you so very much for sharing your lovely space. The Treehouse is beautifully designed: the low ceilings over the bed and kitchen make it feel cozy while tall windows (the wisteria stained glass is amazing) make the space light filled and open.
Your shell lamps combine nature and light so well and I love, love, love that little chair in the corner.
We have stayed in many vacation rentals– yours by far is the most comfortable and well designed.
We had a very relaxing stay- watched the marine layer roll in just south of Point Lobos (the park was packed and we had been before so skipped it) then went for a sunny hike in Garland. Wine tasting in town was fun. Thanks for the Aquarium passes. We visited Pacific Grove- first time back there since we first came to California 33 years ago so a little walk down memory lane.
Again, thanks so much–
We stayed at the Treehouse recently and it has it all, super cozy and comfy room with spectacular views. Nestled close to Carmel Valley town and not too far a drive into Carmel or Monterey. It feels like you're staying in a little cabin at an artist's retreat. Nice, clean linens and towels, some frying pans, toaster and microwave and kitchen utensils are available if you plan to cook there. Desiree was very attentive, nice, and quick to reply to any questions we had. Would definitely stay again for sure!
We stayed at the treehouse for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer! The upstairs apartment is so beautiful and cozy at the same time. The bed and bedding is very clean, and comfortable as well as the towels and everything in the apartment. It offers everything you need if you want to cook and eat at home, plus it is a quick walk (20 minutes) or drive ( 5 minutes) into Carmel Valley which has plenty of places to eat. The owner (wont use her name) put together a folder full of fun historical facts about her place and the area around it as well as her favorite places to eat, watch the sunset, and other fun activities. She also provides a tour of her art studio which is pretty cool! She provides tickets to the Aquarium if you plan on going. I would love to go back again!
Very quiet & peaceful. Great for getting away from busy & hectic life...
we have a lot to say about this place and the owner, but we just gonna summarize our stay on that wonderful magic place, nicely decorated, peaceful,quiet and the owner she was super nice and helpful give us directions where to go,thank you so much,for everything,best regards.
We stayed at the Artist's Treehouse at the beginning of May. The property was beautiful. The house itself was cozy, very clean, and quiet. It was very relaxing. Desiree, the owner, was very gracious and helpful. She left a binder full of suggestions for places to visit and to eat. She also offered us her passes for the Monterey Aquarium, which was thoughtful. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again. I would also recommend eating at Jeffrey's Grill and Cafe. We had the lox and cream cheese and granola and fruit. Delicious!
Well appointed, immaculately clean and well represented in photos and description given by owner. WasherDryer available, covered parking, remote furnished for our car to allow us to enter the private property at our convenience. Tastefully decorated, kitchen utensils and stove all of good quality so preparing simple meals
was very convenient. Light and airy, nice private deck off the studio apt. Wi-Fi provided. Desiree is a delightful hostess who we enjoyed sharing a glass or two of wine with on more than one occasion. Would highly recommend to friends and
family. Kay and Bob
