Great place for two families.

  • 4 of 5

The Loafer's Lane House worked very well for our three day ski weekend this March. Of course the snow was great so that sets the tone, but staying at this house was nice. It was very comfortable and well supplied. We maxed out the place with 11 people from 3 families and the house did not feel crowded at all. It all worked for us, although the house is better suited for two families than three as the third bedroom is the playroom (perfect for the kids). It was also great to be able to bring the dog. Again, the house is very comfortable, and with the fire cranking, is a great place to relax after the ski day. Skiing to and from the house is fairly easy (the trail to the house is just past lift tower #8), and the shuttle stops right at the top of the street. If you want to be on West Mountain, this house is a great choice.

Beautiful Home with great location and view

  • 5 of 5

The home was beautiful, was perfect for a group of 8 guests. The location right on the West Mountain made for some great views. The main floor was an open set up that made it very easy for everyone to enjoy themselves! Would highly recommend renting to anyone for a long weekend or extended stay!

New Years Trip

  • 5 of 5

A group of friends and I stayed at this great cabin for New Years Eve weekend. The shuttle picked us up on a schedule during scheduled hours and then was on call within 20 minutes or so whenever we needed it. We all had a great time, the house is beautiful we would definitely stay there again.

Nice place to stay with a family, plus a couple...

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for 3 nights, 4 days on Loafers Lane just before the new year of 2016. It is a very nice property and pretty much ski-in, ski-out (although unfortunately, due to Mother Nature, it was not for us as there was not enough snow to ski in the neighborhood and the West Mountain Lift was closed during our fault of anyone at the house). Cheryl is wonderful to work with and very accessible. The house is pet-friendly, so beware wearing black is listed as such...

The rooms were well done (although the comforter on the 2 queen beds were VERY heavy and we slept better without them) and the bathrooms were nice (it would be nice to have hand towels hanging in the bathrooms). The house was very clean. There were a lot of amenities, like the pool table and laundry, although the hot tub is not for guests (and we were warned in advance, so no surprise there.) The pool table gave the kids (young and old) lots of entertainment (we never turned on a screen our whole trip.) There was easily accessible wifi to check schedules, restaurants and such. The dining room table was huge (great for the 6 of us) and the kitchen had just about everything we needed (probably should bring your own paper goods and Tupperware/plastic baggies). The guest info book was well put together and had tons of great information. The checkout procedure, and all other communications with Cheryl, were very clear.

Overall, this was a great house and a great trip. It even snowed while we were there so we were able to ski on natural snow (and the driveway was plowed twice!) Thanks Cheryl!

Awesome Mountian Vacation Get-Away

  • 5 of 5

Spent a week here with family, including dog, and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The house has amazing views and given its exposure, south and west, is filled with sunlight all day. The main floor lay out(living room, huge Fire place, kitchen, picture windows, and deck(incl. grill)is perfect for large groups and is very comfortable and relaxing. The house has a very cool mountain/chalet feel and is well built so noise between floors is negligible. The master suite on the top floor is private and has a balcony with an extra sleeping area for kids. The location is perfect if you're looking for easy access to skiing but from a secluded area without neighbors looking in your windows as you get with a condo.

The skiing access is better than we expected. You can ski from the door to a groomed trail at the bottom of the road and traverse(it's basicaly flat so not too much work)for about 5 minutes to the West Mtn trail/lift and do the same coming home. Or if you have little kids the shuttle bus stops about 50 feet from the driveway, comes every 20 minutes and gets you to the base lodge in 5 minutes. I think it runs until 11pm so there is no need to get in the car during the stay as you can shuttle to dinner or to get groceries. Cheryl was great to sea with and we will definitely rent this place again.
