About Milan Frank Vacek
Aloha, in January 2011, I purchased the home of my dreams in the exclusive Triangle/Portlock residential area of Honolulu in Hawaii Kai, and I invested not only lifetime savings but had to sell my villa in my native city of Prague in order to buy it, and still ended up with a small mortgage to pay for the next 20 years! If it were not for the mortgage I would be living in my dream home right now, and I would not be renting it. I enjoy knowing that vacation renters and their families organize their reunions and special celebrations at my house and I always make the house even a little bit better every chance I get. In 2013, I widened the driveway, extensively remodeled a separate-entrance storage room adjacent to the carport by adding a bathroom and transformed it into a completely self-sufficient caretakers/storage room for myself, and installed a solar photovoltaic system to make the house even more ecological than before. I still have a BioMarket cz business in Prague in my native Czech Republic, where I returned from Los Angeles following the Velvet Revolution of 1989. I will have to rent my beautiful home at least most of the year to cover the expenses of the house, but now I rent the palace myself and do not pay any commissions to any rental agency! The house was 'perfect' when I bought it and all my efforts since then have been to make it an even better place to live for me and my family, which should make it even more attractive and comfortable for you to stay in when you rent it. All improvements that I make and all purchases of new LED TV sets and other electronics and furniture and a dozen quiet remote-controlled DC Motor ceiling fans are done with the long-term best interests in mind, and after the visit by my now 93-year-old mother from Los Angeles in 2011the villa is even a bit more handicapped-access friendly. I hope that you will enjoy staying in my home as much as my family and I do. I now live in Honolulu. ALOHA, Milan Vacek, AlohaPalace :-)

Why Milan Frank Vacek chose Hawaii Kai
I purchased this particular home because from the first moment that I saw it and especially once I was inside and saw the spectacular unobstructed views of the coastline and all the beautiful massive wood and marble and huge picture windows construction with plentiful louvered and screened windows for natural flow-through ventilation and the elevator to connect the three levels of the main house as well as the gorgeous separate entrance Studio Guest Cottage I just knew that I had to buy it ... and I did! The home was not cheap, but just a couple of years before I purchased it, it was listed for sale for more than double the price that I had purchased it for, and the owners who built this magnificent home with so much love and caring and with no expense spared had invested so much money into making it the beautiful palace that it is that just about all the money that I paid them went just to pay off their mortgage, so I have no doubt that it was a 'bargain', and I am very proud to be the owner. I had resolved after seeing dozens of other beautiful homes mostly scattered over the nearby hilltops that I wanted to live in the Triangle area because of the proximity to the world-famous Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve in order to be close to the beautiful sheltered beach and live coral and incredibly tame fish and large green turtles with which I so much enjoy snorkeling and hope to be also scuba-diving in the future, which is only a short walking distance from the villa, as are several excellent public schools, shopping centers and many other attractions. I had toyed with the idea of buying a home in the 'marina' area which would have had a slip and the possibility of having a boat with which I could have had easy access to the sea, but because of the low bridge under which all boats have to go it is not possible to have a sailboat and in the wake of the recent tsunami disasters in Thailand and Japan I wanted to be 50+ m high above any tsunami dangers which my Palace is.
What makes this Villa unique
I love the fact that the home is ideally located high up the side of the extinct crater way above all the surrounding homes offering spectacular unobstructed views of the coastline, and enjoying natural easy breezes from the ocean which flow through the many louvered and screened windows to offer perfectly comfortable fresh air at all times without any need for air/conditioning or heating year-round, at one with nature, just as the builders, who are Zen-Buddhists (Swiss professor and his Thai wife) had intended to be, a perfect place for contemplation, meditation, relaxation and regaining new energy. I hope that you will enjoy staying in my home as much as I do. It is called the KokoKaiThaiPalace (com) because it is on the seaward ('Kai') side of the extinct Koko Crater, and it was built like a Thai Palace, and the street that it is on, Kekaha Place, well isn`t it a coincidence that 'Kekaha' in Hawaiian means 'The Place' ! This is my place in paradise! I looked up the word Kekaha on Google and the story goes that some locals were walking around the Island of Kauai and one of them suddenly exclaimed to the others 'KEKAHA !' - there it is - pointing out a bay where something exciting happened in his life, perhaps he caught a big fish, and since that time that bay is called Kekaha Bay, and in fact all the street names in this part of Hawaii Kai are named after various geographical features and tourist attractions on the island of Kauai, like Poipu Drive at the corner! The first available term for you to rent the KokoKaiThaiPalace com (aka AlohaPalace com) as of 9/19/2019 is the entire calendar month of February 2020 for the legally mandated minimum rental term of 30 days (29 nights), so please contact Milan asap and ask for his SuperLastMinute Special Low Rental Rate! The AlohaPalace may be available not just for vacation rentals but also for long term rentals lasting several months or years, please inquire with the owner Milan Frank Vacek. ALOHA NUI LOA! :-)

Mgr Milan seemed overwhelmed. I paid the cleaning deposit and it was not professionally cleaned. I signed the rental agreement 3 times - he was not sure of what was needed. I would suggest enlisting professional management to do the job of rental.
Glorious Oahu with Milan
We have had a glorious time at Milan's beautiful home in Oahu. Our grandchildren have loved every second in the pool and the adults have luxuriated in the hot tub. It has been a home away from home, and one we have grown to love. Each day after our Hawaiian adventures, we have all mentioned how lovely it was to come home to this tranquil setting and this peaceful home. Thank you to Milan for his incredible generosity and kindnesses. We have felt like cherished guests. We had enough room to spread out and feel like kings and queens!!
This is a first rate home and a first rate host.
Thank you Milan. Best wishes always.
Thank you very much Deborah and Tim and Mahalo Nui Loa to your entire family for having been such wonderful guests.
In the nine years that I have owned and have been renting my home you were by far the nicest and kindest and most considerate and incredibly helpful guests that I have ever had, and I truly feel like you have become my extended family and you will always be welcome in my home, which you have taken such wonderful care of that when you departed it was in an even much better condition that when you arrived, and I have missed you every day since your departure. Your family is a perfect example of an all-American loving and caring family which believes in helping others and volunteering to help those who are week and need our love and care. Be well and all the best to you,
God bless you!
ALOHA NUI LOA, Milan :-)
Fantastic house with great views and great location
Milan was a great host that was more than accommodating during our stay. The house was close to a lot of great places to see and also good restaurants. Far enough away from downtown Honolulu/Waikiki where you felt like you were on an island but close enough to go visit places such as Pearl Harbor.
We enjoyed our stay and had lots of room for our family!
Huge Home with Amazing Views!!!!!
This house was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!! Had plenty of room for myself & 11 of my guests. There was even a room at the very first level we didn’t even get to use! Having extra bathrooms was a HUGE plus. Pool area was awesome. We had many fun nights playing football in the pool overlooking the views of Hanuama Bay! Kitchen is well appointed and has everything you could need. Costco & Safeway is nearby for all your grocery needs. The owner Milan lives on the property in a separate entrance room beside the garage port and was very helpful with any questions we had. Definitely worth the 5 stars!!! Aloha!
Big, beautiful home located on a hill in a quiet, picturesque area of Honolulu
Our family of 23 did not want to leave! This home is amazing and met all of our expectations! I can attest to previous reviews that everything was provided for our vacation; from snorkeling equipment and boogie boards to bedside outlets to charge our phones, we really didn’t have to concern ourselves with anything other than food, and Costco and Safeway are only about a mile away! My favorite part of the home was the gazebo atop the hill. What an awesome view! A perfect, quiet place to reflect and unwind. The pool area, complete with hot tub and BBQ grills, was the main attraction though, as our young adults, teens, tweens and little ones swam for hours on end!
Thank you so much Milan for being such an accommodating host! Hopefully we all can make it out to your home again sooner than later!
