Our condo, Whaler #502, is a two bedroom/two bathroom, ocean front condominium on the fifth floor of the north tower at the Whaler on Kaanapali Beach ... you can stand on the lanai, throw a tennis ball and hit the beach. It is large (1,950 sq. ft. including the lanai, 1,440 sq. ft. interior), can accommodate up to five people and has the following bedding: King bed - master bedroom, Two Queen beds - second bedroom. There is no sofa bed in the living room.

The Whaler is a luxury beachfront condominium resort located directly on World-Famous Kaanapali Beach, next to Whalers Village Shopping Center, on the West Coast of Maui between Lahaina and Kapalua. The Whaler offers spacious studio, one and two bedroom condominiums, each with a large tiled lanai. The units are Ocean Front, Ocean View or Garden View.

Our condo, Whaler #502, features a $150K+ remodel (and we're not done yet), central air-conditioning, a washer/dryer in the condo for guest use (many Whaler condos do not have a washer/dryer inside the condo), three color TVs (Samsung 60" TV in the living room and a Sony 46" TV in each bedroom), a fully equipped kitchen, free high speed cable and wi-fi Internet and more.

No pets. No smoking.

Our family has enjoyed this fabulous condo at The Whaler for many years! This condo is premium plus at every level, best direct ocean views from every room, large square footage, excellent furnishings, lovely patio furniture on lanai, nice linens, clean and welcoming. Views of the surf, black rock, gardens, palm trees with patio dining watching Maui sunrises and sunsets. Condo has every amenity, large flat TV's, kitchen with everything needed to cook and dine, great new mattresses, large pool, bar-b-ques, covered parking, large elevator, it doesn't get better than staying at Frederick Long's marvelous condo!! We live in Santa Barbara and have high expectation which this condo exceeds.

This condo is perfect !!!!

We just returned from Maui where we had our annual family reunion. We had a fantastic time and Frederick Long's island home was absolutely perfect for us. It is beautifully decorated and has all the amenities one would need while vacationing in paradise. The location is awesome and the views are simply stunning. The beds were very comfortable (which is always a #1 priority) and the layout of the home flows so well. Rick was wonderful to deal with throughout the entire process. We will definitely be returning some day in the future to this lovely home. Mahalo Rick for sharing it with us.

Wonderful condo!

This was our first trip to Maui and we stayed both here in Kanapali and the Fairmont in Wailea. The view and beach access was fantastic. The condo was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The owner was responsive to our request for some extra bedding and granting us a late check out. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this unit to anyone.

Spectacular property, unbeatable location and fantastic owner

I can't say enough good things about this condo. We've stayed on Kaanapali beach previously at the nearby Westin and Shearton, and there's just no comparison. Having this large, fully-updated unit with two spacious bedrooms and baths, the huge open living/kitchen/dining area, and the wrap-around oceanside lanai made the trip infinitely more enjoyable for everyone in our family than if we had gone the cramped hotel room route. And the central Kaanapali beach location just can't be beat. The view is spectacular, the location is perfect, and the unit itself MORE than measures up to the description and pictures in the listing.

Our experience working with the owner, Rick, was equally positive. He was a prompt and open communicator at all stages from pre-booking through departure, even checking in periodically during our stay to make sure everything was going well. I found him to be straightforward, trustworthy and truly committed to ensuring a positive experience for his renters. I would not hesitate to recommend him and his property to my friends and family.

Hands down, a 5-star experience across the board.
