This home is set along the Tweed River just before the scenic Village of Pittsfield. Rustic, secluded with total privacy. Cell phone sercie is spotty and 4 wheel drive vehicles are required. Only a short 10 minutes drive to the Killington ski resort.
The home is spacious and great for groups. When entering the house there is a ski /mud room, living room with a stone fireplace and cathedral ceilings. From here open the sliders to the deck and relax in your personal hot tub.
It offers a comfortable kitchen with dining area. The main level of the house has 2 bedrooms and a full bath. Upper floor has a bedroom with a King sized bed and separate loft area with a futon and full bathroom. The lower level of the house offers a large family room with a ping pong table, foosball and dart board. The remaining 2 bedrooms each have 2 sets of bunk beds and share the 3rd bathroom. You will also find here the laundry area.
Booking the house was easy, but staying in the house was hard. My group was going to arrive late so we called them to let them know so they can leave the keys at the desk. When I called them, they told me this house is literally secluded. There is NO cell phone reception whatsoever but they will have a phone and wifi at the house. Getting to the house was confusing. Fyi, you WILL need a AWD car, if you don't have one, you will run the risk of getting stuck going back up the hill. Upon entering the house, we noticed it was kept clean and nice BUT the nightmares started to happen. Turned on some lights in the room and half of them didn't work. There was a broken window too but that was caused by the last renters. The PHONE AND WIFI did not work at ALL. There were no notification that the wifi and phone were not working. No phone call or email to let me know they weren't working. Thank God nothing happened to anyone at the house because if it did,I would have to drive out 10 min in the complete dark to get service. The rental company put my group at risk. I emailed them as soon as these problems arose and just gave me an excuse about the phone company being on strike. Best customer service EVER being sarcastic for those who cannot tell. Only thing working was the television, hot tub, hot water, some lamps, and heat. So for those who want to rent this house, be prepared. This is NOT a house for groups that want to enjoy their trip. One more thing, for a house that sleeps 16, there were only 4 forks and 3 spoons. Well played killington rental house management, well played
