Home from home!

Wonderful apartment with everything you could possibly need. Situated in a residential area away from all the crowds with plenty of local trattorias nearby as well as excellent public transport links to get to the centre of town in a matter of minutes. Our host, Cecco, was exceptionally helpful, providing us with all the information essential to get the most out of our holiday, and only ever a phone call away. Excellent holiday!

Lovely Apartment, Noisy location

  • 4 of 5

We are not strangers to Rome, having visited a few times, from 1990. However, this is the first time we have ventured out on our own, always using a tour company in the past.

We chose this suburb as we wanted to see other parts of Rome, those not on the usual tourist circuit. So Cecco's Inn was a welcome safe refuge from the crowded centre.

We loved the apartment: its size, layout and stylish furniture. Add to this the considerate, polite and always cheerful members of this apartment block, and it felt like home.

However, there was one drawback: the endless traffic noise. The apartment block is situated on the corner of a 5-road junction. Furthermore, it seems to be on a principle route for ambulances. Never have we heard so many sirens in a day, every day. I fear the Romans are secretly being exterminated by an envious competitor!!

In summary: lovely weather, lovely people, lovely apartment, considerate and thoughtful owner, but oh the noise!

A great place to stay in Rome!!

  • 5 of 5

The property was good for our overall visit. The location was not in a touristy area which was nice to be away from the hustle bustle. The Metro stop and airport train were just two blocks away. The Todsi grocery store, between the apartment and the airport train line, was great to pick up fresh supplies to make dinner at the apartment. The apartment had plenty of utensils etc to make cooking easy and enjoyable. We had a great time in Rome and a great stay in Cecco's Inn!

Beautiful home with great views, near Metro.

  • 5 of 5

I highly recommend this beautifully decorated home. It is exactly as the pictures. Super clean and has all the ammenities. Best of all, the owner Cecco was extremely helpful, he arranged our transportation from the train station and to the airport. Cecco have us so many tips and recommendations. We went to three of the local restaurants and a pizza place that he recommended and the food was absolutely delicious. You won't find local food like these anywhere else. I will definetly stay here again and I highly recommended. You will not be disappointed!!! Thank Cecco for your beautiful home!!!

Great time in Rome!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with my husband and two teenaged children. Clean apartment in a great location. Convenient to train. Cecco was amazing. From our very first interaction to our last, he was very responsive. Always quickly answered questions, gave directions and recommended restaurants. It was like having a friend in Rome! He helped us so much during our stay. I highly recommend staying in one of his properties!

Outstanding location.

  • 5 of 5

Francesco was a superb host. He answered all our questions promptly and accurately. The apartment was wonderful - clean, very well equipped, and comfortable. It is conveniently located for easy access to the Metro as well as regional train station. The nearby fresh market Mercato Dell'Alberone is amazing - fresh produce, baked goods, meats, flowers, etc. Nearby trattorias serve excellent food. If you are looking to stay at a location that provides a good feel for daily life in Rome, this is the place. If I return to Rome, I will stay here again!

About Cecco

I'm Roman, I love my city and I would like that all the people that visit Rome could enjoy it in the best way.

Rome is the most beautiful city of the world but it's not always easy to understand how it works, that's why I try to give my best to support my guests from the beginning to the end of their stay.

I'm a cyclist and I can say that Rome is even better when you bike.

Why Cecco chose San Giovanni (St. John Lateran)

This is a real Rome neighborhood, really safe and with lots of shops and restaurants that are very local (this isn't a touristy area) and thus better food at cheaper rates. It is also perfectly connected and subway and train station are nearby.

I chose this flat cause I love the great view of roofs of Rome I can enjoy from the balcony.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Beautiful renovated aparment. Fantastic location and within minutes walking distance to both train (airport) and underground (quick journey into Rome) and also minutes away from both supermarket and numerous pizza take-aways. Apartment very clean and furnished to a high standard and views from 8th floor were fabulous. Landlord Francesco very friendly and took around apartment explaining everything before sharing a bit info on transport etc. Overall we had a fantastic time staying at this propert
