Conveniently located within walking distance to the settlement on Great Guana Cay, a 5 minute walk to one of the best pink sand beaches in the Abaco's or a 1 minute walk to the end of the dock to enjoy magnificent sunsets.
Frangipani Cottage is a two bedroom, two bath cottage with central air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout. The living area is decorated in rattan and tropical prints to enhance the island atmosphere. Double french doors open onto a screened lanai allowing the sea breezes to fill the cottage.

Listen to the 'Cruiser's Net' on channel 68 every morning at 8:15 a.m. for up to the minute weather, news, announcements and 'what's happening'.
FREE long-distance phone calls can be made at Nippers and Grabbers and an internet hotspot is available at the cottage. Guests bringing their laptop can access the internet through Bahamas WiMax.

The Atlantic Ocean is just to the northeast of the cottage and there are several beach accesses close by. Ask our caretaker to show you the best and easiest beach access.
The Settlement is a short walk from the cottage where you will find a small but well equipped grocery store, a liquor store and souvenir shops. There are several restaurants in the settlement including Nippers, Grabbers, Orchid Bay Sunsetters, Fish Tales and Kidd's Cove.
Golf carts are great for exploring the island and rentals are available in the settlement at Donna Sands Rentals.

Hello, John and Beverly Roselli are the proud owners of Frangipani Cottage.
Beverly purchased this cottage in 2001
Guana Cay is a very special island who's full time residents make you feel welcome. We had our cottage built after vacationing through-out the Bahamas and felt most 'at home' on Guana Cay.
We have a community dock just feet from our front porch. But even though it is a shared dock your boat will probably be the only boat docked there. Don't have a boat? Use the dock for swimming, snorkling and sunbathing. Bring your fishing rod and catch snappers for dinner.
The property manager Gina is awesome, had our golfcart for us upon arrival. The cottage was very nice, I would definitely stay here again!
Gina, the manager promptly met us at the ferry dock with our golf cart and showed us to the Frangi
Pani house. It's in the perfect location in between the Settlement and Bakers Bay with a gorgeous view. House was very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. A/C was also more than sufficient. We would definitely stay here again!
My 14 year old son and I wanted to spend 4 days on Guana Cay. Frangipani Cottage hit the spot: 2 bedrooms so we each had our privacy, plus its own dock for the power boat we rented. And if we didn't want to walk into town, plenty of people driving their golf carts up and down the road were willing to give us a lift. This kept us from having to rent our own golf cart on top of the power boat. Plus, for snorkelers, there is a lot of good snorkeling up and down the shoreline where the dock is located. The house is adequately stocked with kitchen supplies as well as DVDs and movies for evening entertainment.
Here's a few things that might help out a new traveler to Guana Cay. The owners of Frangipani were always there to answer my questions with prompt return phone calls which was nice. They are very accommodating. First we stopped off at Maxwell's Grocery store in Marsh Harbor to get supplies. Our taxi driver stopped at the liquor store too. Then we bought ferry tickets (10) at a discount price. Gina, the care taker, picked up our golf cart rental and had it waiting at the dock when the ferry arrived. She took us to the house which is in a great location. We loved the front porch overlooking the sea and spending time on the dock. The house has everything you could need. Both bedrooms have a bathroom which was convenient. We did bring a soft cooler to take on the boat with us which we recommend. We boated to several islands nearby and shopped and ate out. We also went to shell beach. The water is easy to read so you don't have to worry about running aground. The wi-fi worked for 1 phone (Galazy) but not the iPhones. But it really is better to disconnect to reconnect with your family and friends. We definitely will return to Frangipani again because it was the perfect house to rent at a great price in a perfect location.
We really enjoyed our stay in Beautiful Guana Cay, the cottage was close to everything by golf cart. It was perfect for my husband and I, and we were pleased to each have our own bathroom. We rented a boat from Dive Guana and had a bad experience with Troy and would not rent from him again. We rented a boat from Rainbow Rentals at Marsh Harbor for the remainder of our stay. They were very nice to deal with and let us keep the boat tied up to our dock, which was perfect for us. We will definitely be back and rent from them again. The rest of our family was staying in a family owned home, so they knew where to go and what to see. We really loved island hoping to Hope Town, and all the other islands. Be sure to go to Piggy Ville on No Name Key, they are always in need of food and water so try to take some. We enjoyed Nippers, Grabbers & Orchid Bay along with Firefly and Reef Bar and Grill at Hope Town Harbour Lodge (the view is amazing). One word of caution, don't fly Silver Airlines, as it took us 2 days to get there from Tampa, Florida and 2 days to try to get home due to flight cancellations. If the plane isn't full, they cancel the flight after keeping you at the airport all day.
This was our third visit to Guana Cay and Frangipani Cottage. The location is ideal; close to the settlement but far enough away to have a little privacy. We love the cottage's layout; simple but perfect for our family of three or for two couples. Having a bathroom in each bedroom is a plus. The WIFI worked well for us and the CB radio was useful. We loved listening to the Cruisers Net every morning! Gina is amazing as always (the caretaker) and we used Troy and Maria (Dive Guana) for both boat and golf cart rental. They run a top notch business and I highly recommend Troy's snorkel trip. This time we rented a boat and explored the cays on our own but he was very helpful with suggestions, as always. Our relatives made their first trip to the Abacos and were impressed with the beautiful beaches, snorkeling adventures, the food and friendly people. Meals at Nippers and Grabbers were good (seafood specials at both and pizza at Grabbers) and we also enjoyed dinner at Orchid Bay one evening. Back to the cottage property: We love the dock! We spent most evenings sitting on the dock bench after dinner and/or watching the sunset at Grabbers (Irene, a manager of Grabbers, is another outstanding individual who contributes to the overall fantastic vacation experience - so nice and easy going. I would recommend renting the paddleboards there; perfect setting, calm water). We didn't cook out this trip but the grill at Frangipani Cottage is a great addition (we used it last visit). The short path to the Atlantic Ocean side of the cay is extremely close to the cottage. We usually drive our golf cart down the path to the beach and park by the stairs but it is close enough to walk. A word of caution: There are a handful of vehicles on Guana Cay; the majority appearing to commute to Baker's Bay resort on the north end. A few drive too fast (we had some close calls this trip). Be aware of both golf carts and the few vehicles as the main road is fairly narrow, with curves, small hills etc. It is easy to get complacent. You may have the road to yourself for long periods, then be surprised. For the most part it is extremely safe. As for the owners they are a pleasure to work with and quickly respond to any questions. We are already looking forward to a 2016 visit and Frangipani Cottage is our #1 choice -
