Time and Space to Recharge
This is perfect. The house and beach on which it stands makes the aches go away, troubles recede, colours brighter, air fresher and food (must not forget the welcome pack of essentials, including Champagne) much more tasty. In brief, a proper break. I need more of this - highly recommended. We have booked next year already.
The beach house is wonderful. Our family went. It consists of great nan , nan and grandad, mum and dad and grand children. Ranging from ages 83 through to 2 .everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable week. We are trying to book for next year
Amazing house, Stunning location!
This was a birthday weekend getaway treat booked by my husband for me and we had family arriving from dubai to stay with us also - everyone was just blown away by the facilities, the views, the idyllic setting and the sea! The house was equipped with everything and the John Lewis towels and white company linen were a luxurious touch!
Couldnt recommend highly enough. Thank you! Mr & Mrs Cogswell, London.
Beach House Review
We spent a wonderful 4 days at the beach house. The house is beautifully decorated and there are plenty of areas to chill out in. And of course there's the beach which even in cloudy weather is still great for the views and for taking the time to wander along the shore - especially great at low tide. It's a great house for a quiet get away or is more of a lively family get together. The reception rooms are spacious - great for a larger group and the decked area leading onto the beach would be great for chilling and BBQs. The views from the upper large balcony are great too!
The welcome pack of bread. milk, butter biscuits, crisps and champagne (all the essentials!) was a lovely surprise. I have recommended this house to many of my friends.
Nearby we loved the Kent and Sussex Steam railway - take a short trip to bodium castle - it's fun and the castle is great. We loved Rye for the lovely little shops, bars, restaurants and cafe's.
Thanks Danny and Denise for allowing us to share your lovely beach house!
Our family, five adults and two children were celebrating a 40th and a 70th birthday. The house was excellent, beautifully furnished, well equipped, comfortable beds and plenty of room outside for the children. Despite the poor weather we managed beach walks, even a quick paddle. Can recommend the Pilot for fish and chips and a walk around Rye Harbour. Will return.
Ideal venue for a weekend getaway
Ten of us (eight adults, two babies) enjoyed a fabulous weekend at the Beach House. Beautifully appointed, well located venue with superb sea views. Exactly as described
Camber is renowned for its beautiful beach and back drop of sand dunes which have been used for scenes in many films and magazine photo-shoots. This two and a half mile stretch of golden sands was voted number 9 of the 100 Best Beaches in the World by The Sunday Times Travel Magazine.
The village itself lies along a protected coastline between the towns of Lydd and historical Rye. Because of its unique setting local amenities are centred around beach life, country walks and water sports such as kite and windsurfing. These types of activities can be learned at local centres. There are local golf courses as well as Lydd airport which offers a number of fly/dine and day trips.
The beautiful cinque port of Rye is only a couple miles away offering wonderful views of the surrounding countryside as well as quaint tea rooms and restaurants and a host of antique, bric a brac, book shops and art galleries.
