After traveling all over the world, we believe that New York's Thousand Islands Region is one of the most beautiful destinations within the United States. This is why we decided to reside here.
I stayed for two nights in April, my wedding was held at the winery. The cabin was really nice and had lots of room. The kitchen had anything we needed as far as dishes, cookware, and utensils. There's a nice back deck and BBQ, we didn't really use either because of how busy we were, but it was still nice. It was quiet both day and night, which was great for relaxing. The cabin has a cute guestbook to write in about your stay. It was nice to be able to walk back and forth between the cabin and winery, it made setting up for, and cleaning up after, the wedding really nice. My only concern is that there was a discrepancy between what time we actually left the cabins and what time the cleaner claimed we left which caused issues with our deposit refunds. This was for all three cabins that my family rented, not just one. We had all left between 9 and 9:30 am and it's my understanding that the cleaner claimed they couldn't get their job done because the cabins were occupied after 10. I have no idea why the cleaner would lie, but if you stay I'd recommend being safe rather than sorry and bringing your keys up to the winery when you leave. Luckily I still had a text discussion that was time stamped about where the people that rented the other cabins were and how to meet them, stating that we had already left and were on our way to them. The winery did fix this issue for us and were kind about it. I just don't care for unexpected problems, especially where my money is concerned. The winery did make sure that my wedding day went off without a hitch, which I really appreciated. Overall, I would recommend staying at their cabins. They're nice, large, comfortable, clean, and convenient. We had a great time while we were there and would return. Just don't trust the cleaner to give them accurate information on when you left. The deposit issue is why I'm giving 4 rather than 5 stars.
The house was, as expected, very clean. The staff went out of their way to provide what we needed for our scrapbooking retreat weekend...extra tables and chairs were there when we arrived. An extra lamp was brought to us upon request. Couldn't have asked for friendlier, more accommodating people! Everything was wonderful! A huge thank you to EVERYONE!!!
I have traveled all over the United States and Canada and this is hands down the best rental I have ever stayed in. Not only were the owners and their staff friendly, hospitable and generous, but the accommodations themselves are better than ANY you will find in the area. This particular rental boasts a full kitchen (with utensils), a dishwasher, washer/dry, two full bathrooms and more than enough room to sleep 4 comfortably. This rental is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, with easy access to world renowned fishing locations, snowmobile trails and hunting opportunities. However, for those who prefer not to venture into the wilderness, the cottage comes with free cable and WiFi, and is just steps away from the largest and one of the most acclaimed wineries in NNY, where cottage guests are eligible to receive an ample discount on purchases. Myself and those in my party (2 of whom traveled from out of state) have agreed that this will be a yearly tradition for all of us, as the quality, hospitality, and sporting opportunities of this rental are beyond reproach. Give it a shot any time of the year and you will not be disappointed!
We would love to stay at the house again. The house was very nice and had so much to offer. We will absolutely recommend this home to everyone we know looking for a place to stay in the Thousand Islands. We also would like to say that everyone at the winery is great! The only concern we had was the large gap between the door and the frame, in the bathroom off the kitchen. You can see right into the bathroom thru the crack.
For our first time renting a cottage it was an awesome experience. The cottage was clean and maintained. Perfect for a family get away.
A very nice, enjoying and relaxing stay. The place was a home away from home. Being on a small vacation but had the everyday feel of being home. Very clean and well maintained. Excellent customer service. I have already recommended this place to family and friends.
