About Chuck

I am a retired college professor. My wife and I currently reside in Oklahoma and are happy to share our house with you!

Chuck purchased this cabin in 2001

Why Chuck chose New Mexico

My wife and I bought this cabin as 'retreat from the heat'. We loved the convenience of being right on the outside of town and, of course, being right on river.

What makes this cabin unique

All that you need for a relaxing vacation in Red River.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Great Ski Weekend Spot

  • 4 of 5

The condo had all the amenities that one could want for a ski weekend. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean upon arrival. We had four adults and it was cozy in the common areas so it might be tight for 6 adults, but a family with kids would have no problem. We did not take the shuttle to the ski area, but it is nice to know it is available for those that do not want to drive. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a weekend away in Red River.

terrific place on the river!

  • 5 of 5

this place is the best kept secret in Red River! the cabin was well appointed and fully stocked with everything we needed for the stay, except food, of course. the beds were comfortable which means a lot to 6 older people and we could not have been happier. we will definitely go back when we can.

Good place to stay

  • 4 of 5

Everything was good. Everything we needed was in the cabin. Clean! Could have used at least two bath towels and two wash clothes per person staying in the cabin. Don't mind using one towel two to three times but not 6 days. A

Overall a nice experience

  • 4 of 5

Overall the cabin was great. Comfortable cabin and close to town, and perfect for our family of 6. The river behind the cabin is very soothing to sleep to, and we had frequent wildlife sightings. The owner and the property manger are GREAT!! Management needs to consider adding more toilet paper (we had one roll in each bathroom), and expanding its satellite to include more channels. The "wireless internet" does not work very well, if at all, but that seems to be the case for the entire town of Red River. Those are my only complaints with this cabin, and when I return to Red River, I would consider this cabin again.
