About Matt Burlick
We feel in love with Cape May in 2014 during an office season get away for Matt’s Birthday. We feel in love with the charm and history of the town. We knew instantly that we wanted to purchase a beach house in Cape May. A few years later we made that dream a reality and in October 2016 we purchased 902 Lafayette. Matt and I meet in Hoboken, NJ and in 2012 we got married Tulum, Mexico. We currently live in downtown Philadelphia, PA. Matt is Computer Science professor at Drexel University and I work for Jazz Pharmaceuticals as a Regional Manager helping patients with chronic pain get pain relief with an non-opioid option. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do!

We travel a lot with our family and this is one of the BEST spots we have stayed in. It is clean, well stocked, comfortable, plenty of space and in an awesome location. You can walk to to town easily and it's close by beautiful beaches. We have 4 young children and this was a great house for a family. It's located across the street from a beautiful fenced in playground where we spent hours (when we weren't in town or at the beach!). We also loved the little back yard area and having a convenient spot to park too. The check in process and communicating with the owners could not have been easier. I would highly recommend this house!

Modern amenities in beautiful beach town
We had a great time! The house had everything we needed. Just what it looks like in pictures. The house has many modern amenities... Alexa in every room, big tvs, quality appliances, electric key/door lock. Across the street from a great park with basketball, dog park, soccer field for my kids. And easy walking distance to cute town and to beach. The owner was easy to contact. And we would definitely stay here again.
Great condo! Would definitely stay again!
My husband, dog and I stayed for 3 nights over New Year's weekend! The condo is beautiful with all amenities you could ask for. Matt was great to work with. Location is in walking distance of downtown, shopping, restaurants, etc. We definitely look forward to coming again in either the warmer weather or winter again. Thanks so much!

Beautiful home! Perfect mix of modern decor with beach feel.
We comfortably stayed with 6 adults (girls weekend) and the setup was perfect. Everyone had their own space and the kitchen was perfectly accommodating. The Alexa in every room was a big hit!
Perfect for a family stay!
A beautiful, comfortable, clean home - with a gourmet kitchen! Wish we had more time to stay.
Would suggest a different shower head in Queen bathroom... as currently the angle makes it difficult to use, but other than that we had a lovely, relaxing stay.
Thanks Donna. Glad you guys had a great time.
For what it's worth, we tried several shower heads in an attempt to maximize water pressure and I like the one that we ended up putting in the shared full bathroom and Taryn liked the one that we put in the Queen bathroom. But I'll pass on your feedback to her.
Fantastic Property & Exceptional Management
We have been visiting Cape May for at least 1 trip every summer for the last 7+ years. Have traditionally stayed in hotels, but last year -- with a growing son and the group expanding to include 3 generations -- we decided to rent a house for more room, at a lesser cost. A good experience, so we decided to repeat this year. BUT, after some research, opted for this property on Lafayette instead of the prior rental. Great decision with a plan to repeat next year!
For us, this property was in a perfect location. My 70+ parents were within walking distance of the start of the Washington Street mall. The beach was a short bike ride for a 12 year old and his parents -- the available bike rack and storage box at the beach allowed us to travel light each day. There are several parks within walking distance for kiddo and dog to be entertained -- dog park, basketball court, playground. Everything was close enough (for us) and there was plenty of free parking -- at the property and nearby -- to not drive much.
The property itself is fantastic. Clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Everything updated, but still a ton of charm (original windows, etc). Impressive amount of technology -- listen to music, watch TV. Plenty of common space in the house for 6 people to spread out or to spend time together. Kitchen is beautiful and well stocked -- didn't need a decent amount of the packed kitchen tools/equipment that was brought from home! Outdoor space was plenty for us -- able to lock up bikes, shower off outside after a day at the beach, cook a few meals on the grill and enjoy the fire pit.
Management was great! Very thoughtful in advance of our arrival (Welcome Guide, managing our access to the property) and in dealing with one minor issue with the beach box lock after we arrived.
Some improvement suggestions....
1. Add an inventory of expected kitchen equipment/tools to the Welcome Guide.
2. Replace the King mattress. Memory foam has lost all of its "omph". This is a selfish request since we are hoping to come back. :-)
3. Chat with other owners and garbage company about mgt of common refuse/storage area. Some previous tenant left bags outside of a can and it appeared that an animal had ripped them open. Plus, there was an overfull recycle bin that was stuck in the back corner. All of it stayed that way, even after the garbage company had come by to throw out the contents of the cans. Hidden, but still pretty gross!
Thanks for the review Charlie. Glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to having you again.
I think all your suggestions are great. Believe me #3 is the first on our to-do list in our next HOA meeting and #1 is a great idea, especially since we feel our place lends itself great to people who want to cook. #2 is definitely on our "wish list" as well.
Charlie, this week we replaced the King mattress and I've put a kitchen inventory section in our renter's guide. We're also replacing our waste management provider this month.
