Quintessential Maine!

  • 5 of 5

Stop looking. You've found the perfect Maine getaway for a weekend retreat, down east vacation, or "life sabbatical." I needed a place to stay for the winter months and did I ever find a gem! I felt comfortable from the minute I arrived. Pat is a wonderful host ~ her guest's happiness is her primary concern and she'll do whatever she can do to ensure it. She has an innate sense of when to "be there" and when to "let be." I felt like I had the whole property to myself!! There are straight on views of the cove from both the living area and bedroom. I loved to see the morning light shine on the woods across the bay and watch the ducks and seagulls do their thing. The space feels spacious ~ just the right size for a couple or a family with a couple of kids. And the location couldn't be better. Privacy on the Maine coastline and yet close to all the best that Maine that has to offer. I'd highly recommend this property!! Contact Pat if you're looking for a month-to-month rental. It was just what I was looking for....peaceful, comfortable, and healing....I felt lucky to be there every day.

Great Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Wow! Great Rental!!! We recently stayed here with our two dogs and had a wonderful time! The rental is adorable and quite comfortable. The views from the bedroom and deck are amazing! We couldn't get enough. The property is immaculate and Pat couldn't be more helpful and kind. We loved sitting by the deck and looking at the water. The dogs also loved romping around the entire property! We visited Fort Popham State Historic Site and Beach with our dogs. This place was very dog friendly! We also went to the Merrymeeting Dog Park in Brunswick, Maine. After entertaining our dogs for the week, the humans spent an evening in Portland, which was about a 40 minute drive from the rental. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this rental for others!

Perfect Maine Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed here and had a wonderful time. Pat is so hospitable and helpful. The location is very central to lots of fun activities and places to explore. The kitchen is loaded with whatever you need, including a big pot to boil our own lobster. The gardens and grounds are beautiful and peaceful. We loved taking the kayak out into the water and exploring. This was the perfect Maine getaway for our land locked Colorado family!

peace and plenty

  • 5 of 5

If you are seeking peace, quiet, and serene natural beauty that only the coast of Maine can deliver in its particular way, this is a wonderful choice. I love to walk in the early morning with my cup of coffee out to the point and watch the birds working over the cove; other than their voices, all is silence. The scent of firs surrounds you, and you can watch the water for hours without interruption. The owner's gardens are absolutely gorgeous, and the grounds invite you to spend as much time out of doors as possible. If you can tear yourself away from the natural beauty, it's an easy drive to Bath, Brunswick, or Portland if you want to take in the museums, shops, and restaurants. The cottage apartment is a charming, romantic little retreat. I found this to be a remarkably relaxing, beautiful place and intend to return as often as I can.

It made my Maine experience!

  • 5 of 5

This was my first trip to Maine and traveling alone. My goal was to keep busy exploring as much as I could during the day & relax at night. This location and property was perfect! It was centrally located for me to venture on different days to Portland/Kennebunkport, Freeport, Camden/Rockland, and Waterville. Bath is just a few short minutes away & also has much to explore. I even ventured a day trip to Bar Harbor/Acadia Natl Park and back. I saw both mountains and beach during my short stay and at least 4 lighthouses accessible by car & along the way of my ventures. The drive was wonderful going through picturesque communities along Hwy 1 and beautiful foilage. Like other comments, the pictures are exactly what you will experience at the property. All was super clean & modern. The bedroom is even more spacious than pictures. I found the bathroom an adequate size and even with a blow dryer! The balcony is relaxing. The grounds are beyond what I expected. It is gorgeous and quiet. The mornings are stunning in the clear or with a little fog, and I have never seen stars so clear at night. Staying at this property made for an awesome all-around Maine experience. I am so happy I chose this property and location compared to booking any hotel or Bed & Breakfast. It is just five short minutes off the highway and along a freshly paved road to the cove's point. Enjoy!
