In addition, Pagosa hot Springs is a convenient 40 minute drive, Vallecito Lake 20 minutes and the Sky Ute Casino only 15 minutes. The breathtaking views from the living room, main floor balcony, lower level great rm and large lower level patio you'll enjoy views of the La Plata Mountains and Saul’s Creek San Juan National Forest, a treasured site for hiking, riding and snow shoeing trails and close to Navajo Lake for fishing and water skiing.

Entry Level (Upper) : The upper entry level sleeps (4) and includes 2 full Baths, living area, large fully equipped kitchen, dining for (14) or more, large master suite w/king size bed, master bath w/walk-in shower and separate tub, double sinks, guest room w/ queen bed,

Lower Level w/ separate entry : The lower level (aprox: 2300 sq. ft. of rental space) offers 2 bedrooms w/queen beds and, Jack & Jill full bath, 2 Bunk rooms w/ 3 twin and 1 full bed, (TV in one BR), a second 1 3/4 bath, Great room w/TV, wet bar w/microwave, mini-frig & wine cooler and pull-out sofa, exercise room w/TV & PS3 for the kids, & separate entrance from large covered patio w/ barbecue and patio furniture.

If you do not require 5 bedrooms and full have the option of renting the lower level only with a private entrance. It is available any time year round pricing upon request.

Great location, great place

Our group of 9 trailered in with our motorcycles. We had plenty of parking space, room to all hang out together, and too have privacy whenever we wanted. Phil was very responsive to our needs. All the local folks were friendly in Bayfield and we would highly recommend this property and location as a base location for any party of up to 12 adult guests.

Perfect location and house!

The house was beautiful and roomy and the absolute perfect location for our family to gather during our daughter's wedding weekend! We had so much fun and so many great memories created there!

This house was very dirty and we had to call the owner. He did send the cleaning crew back to clean the toilets and the white animal hair all over the couch. There were chunks of mud on the stairs that didn't get noticed by the cleaning crew. It is obvious that the owner, or somebody still lives here and only leaves when they rent the property. It was very lived in. The noise of the crickets and toads was delightful!

Owner's Response: The home is always very clean and tidy. This is the owners main residence and the owner does stay there between guests which is part of the great ambiance. It's a "HOME". Unfortunately partially due to weather there where items near the entry and a couple items that were missed. The items were taken care of immediately but apparently not to this guest's satisfaction. We are dedicated to our guest's having a great experience and that is why we have a very high return rate of our guests. W.e apologize for not being able to make this guest happy. Thanks you EVR.

Just like home, only bigger and better.

When I entered the foyer, the home took my breath away. It was much more spacious and luxurious than I had realized from the photos. With some sleeping and recreation space on each level, it worked well for our multi-generational extended family Christmas vacation. Everything was clean and well organized. Indeed it is a gourmet kitchen and the owners "borrow/replace" system meant we had any spice, condiment, etc we needed. It was just like being at home, only bigger and better. The owner was accessible and easy to work with. Thanks for the memories.

The photos don't do it justice!

Beautiful home! Excellent for big families!! We had a wonderful time relaxing on the deck, watching the hummingbirds, making s'mores over the fire pit... Our vacation was just about perfect!! The house is a half hour from Pagosa Springs and 20 minutes to Durango, so we split our time between the two. We enjoyed the hot springs in Pagosa, as well as tubing down the river, and we spent a great day on the Durango/Silverton train, which is something our dad had been wanting to do for 35 years. We enjoyed our family breakfasts and dinners together at the house, which was my favorite part of our time together! The house does not have AC, but the swamp cooler does a decent job, although it's a bit noisy. And the second bedroom on the main level gets quite hot and doesn't seem to get much air flow or benefit from the swamp cooler. But there are six bedrooms to choose from, and we only needed five, so next time my hubby and I might decide to stay in one of the bedrooms downstairs. Bottom line: it's an incredibly beautiful home that was the icing on the cake for our wonderful large family getaway.
