We loved this bright, spacious, comfortable and well-equipped apartment, perfectly located so close to the market, the trams and the old town. Splendid views over the rooftops, and a lift! Plenty of restaurants nearby, but after many days ''on the road' we really enjoyed the opportunity of eating market produce chez nous (the rotisserie outside the market has wonderful 'plats de jour'. Get there early, the queues are long and the specials disappear quickly! The boulangerie around the corner in rue Bannelier next to the fromagerie has excellent bread & croissants and the BEST fruit tarts!). Catherine was meticulous in responding to questions in advance, meeting us, patiently explaining how the apartment functioned and responding promptly to a problem with the hot water. She also went to lot of trouble to find me an excellent physiotherapist, otherwise I'm sure he would not have seen me. If we are able to return to Dijon, we would not think of staying anywhere else. Highly recommended
I am a year late in writing, but we remember this apartment so well that we feel we must add our voices to its praise. We (a family of four desiring three bedrooms) stayed a week, often driving out to other locations in Burgundy. Arriving back after a long day, this very large, light and airy, comfortable apartment was pure delight. It is wonderfully furnished and feels like staying in a friend’s home. We made and ate many of our meals here and never tired of the spectacular view overlooking the city. One of the greatest assets of this apartment is its charming owner, Catherine. She provided a thorough introduction to the apartment and offered good advice on the area. Over the years we have stayed at a number of apartments and hotels in France, but this one tops our list.
My husband, mother and I spent three nights in this beautiful apartment, were very comfortable and were pleased with the location and the amenities. The owner has lovely furnishings and rightfully takes pride in keeping the apartment well maintained and inviting. She met us promptly and was very helpful with information about the surrounding area as well as the apartment itself. The place itself was very spacious, affording both comfort and privacy for all. We were able to prepare meals and take care of laundry as needed there, and get everywhere without a car being necessary as well.
L'appartement est parfaitement bien situé (au pied du marché et à 2 pas d'une boulangerie : idéal pour les croissants du matin... ! ), très propre, calme, authentique et surtout.... très spacieux ! Aucune déception, vraiment. Nous avons été agréablement surprises à l'entrée dans l'appartement.
Merci à la propriétaire très chaleureuse pour son accueil et ses conseils de visites.
Concernant les activités sur Dijon, je recommande la balade en Segway (à réserver auprès de l'Office du Tourisme) ! C'était une bonne partie de rigolade !
...Le soleil rasant du soir qui illumine les toits du centre ville... La pluie fine qui fait luire encore davantage les tuiles colorées... Les carillons aux sons graves et joyeux des églises... Les jardins fleuris au bas de l'immeuble... La cloche tintinnabulante du tramway...L'accordénoiste du dimanche matin dont les notes nous parviennent au gré de la brise... les arbres immenses qui frissonnent au vent léger de mai...Une grande poésie!
Nous avons passé un excellent mois dans cet appartement. Il est idéalement placé: tout près du marché, il y a une station tramway au pied de l'immeuble. J'ai tout particulièrement aimé la décoration (très authentique!), l'espace (de grandes pièces!) et la vue sur les jolis toits de Dijon (car au 6e étage!). C'était parfait!
