About Mollie Bates

We moved out to Parowan from the Clearwater FL area almost 10 years ago and LOVE southern Utah! So clean, tons of outdoor recreation, friendly people and so many national parks. We purchased the house which was built in the late 1800's and remodeled and added on to it while preserving the historical architectural features that make the home so special. It truly was a feat but feel that the home had already survived for over 100 years and we wanted to give it at least 100 more years! We know you will love it! It has the modern conveniences and so many amenities! Enjoy southern Utah and prepare to fall in love with Parowan (: Best wishes for a great vacation!

Mollie Bates purchased this house in 2003

Fantastic family reunion house!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great experience here! We had never been to parowan, but it was a cute, historic town! The town didn't have too many amenities (it does have a market, gas station, fast food, etc) , but we drove to cedar city (which isn't that far) for the walmart and shopping. The house was awesome- a very charming home, almost like a maze with all the nooks and corners and rooms. We had 13 adults and 15 kids (ages 12 to 7 months) and it was great! They had plenty of utensils and plates and cups and bowls and trash bags for our group. The oven did have a bit of trouble staying hot, but we didnt bake too many things since it was the summer. It did have 2 fridges which was helpful for our large group. The kids loved playing hide and seek all around the house and we really enjoyed the backyard in ground trampoline and grass for a water balloon fight. There was plenty of space to eat with 2 dining tables and the kids loved eating outside on the furniture on the basketball court (basketball hoop was bent so we couldn't play, though). There was also a bunk house in addition to the main house which we could habe used, but we didn't need it (and I don't think it had AC. The ac was awesome at the house, it was able to keep the house around 68-70 in the middle of july! We had a great stay! Thanks mollie!

Wonderful home for large family getaway

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful house that feels comfortable from the start. It has so many rooms, it takes a bit to get oriented, but that makes it even more fun. It has been renovated and has everything you could want, including a beautiful, well stocked kitchen. It is super close to Brian Head where we skiing and tubing. Parowan is a very nice town and we were able to pick up anything we needed.

Molly was great to work with and responded quickly yo any questions.

Highly recommend.

Wonderful family house for a relaxing reunion!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful family reunion this summer -- due largely in part to our great accommodations hidden away in the small town of Parowan. The house was roomy (slept 5 families with little kids), large kitchen with two dining rooms, games and toys for kids, trampoline in the back, large back yard (we had a great water fight) - and close to many attractions in nearby towns.

Highly recommend! Thanks so much, Molly.

Exceeded our expectations

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautiful with more than enough room for our 20+ family. The huge back yard is a plus for family games.

We had no issues with anything.

Our whole family loved being there and are already talking about coming back.

AMAZING HOUSE IN THE GREATEST TOWN! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!

  • 5 of 5

We just had a family reunion with 35 people and stayed in the Parowan Big House on Main. It was fabulous! Mollie is AMAZING to work with! The actual house is so fun and so cute and so user friendly and so full of fun little surprises! The kitchen is amazing and well stocked and the eating areas are perfect. The treehouse in an upstairs bedroom is so fun for the kids! Each room has it's own theme and the whole house is decorated in such a fun and wonderful way. The backyard is huge and shaded at night. We went in July and the AC was great. The kids loved the tramp and there were so many thing available to use like tables and chairs and volleyball nets and things like that. Mollie was so helpful before, during and after our stay. We fell in love with Parowan! It is the sweetest town with some of the most friendly people in the world. We visited the Parowan Gap and saw the Petroglyphs. We saw Dinosaur tracks and went on the greatest hike to a waterfall, called Hidden Haven, just a minutes from the house. We were there for July 24th and we went to the cutest Parade and ate a free dinner across the street with the whole town. We also went to a concert in the Park and loved the Navajo Tacos from one of their food trucks at the park. It's like going back in time. Our ancestors are Parley P Pratt and Anson Call so the town has a lot of meaning to our family personally which made it even sweeter for us. It was great to get a photo next to Parley P. Pratt's statue at the Heritage Park. We reserved the pool for an evening and everyone loved it. As part of the rental you get a free pass to the Gym on Main and the teenagers and a few adults went to the gym and LOVED it!!! The house has great gathering rooms and room to play games with big groups. We didn't have time this time but it's awesome how close you are to Cedar City, Brian Head and St. George. There are So many things to do very close by. I can't say enough about how much we ALL loved this house and the town of Parowan!!

Thank you Mollie for providing a practically perfect in every way place for our family reunion!!
