Fantastic location. A just a short walk along the pristine white sandy beach to a few beach restaurants and bars. Shops are nearby.
Very nice condo, location was great. Walked to Caddie's and Ka Tiki. The beach was beautiful and the pool was a great alternative. An older crowd at the condo development which was fine, no Spring Breakers to deal with. All were extremely friendly and helpful!
DeSoto Park is a great destination - we went kayaking and had two dolphins swim right by us in a cove as well as stingrays and lots of birds. The beaches there were beautiful, lots of parking, bathrooms, food, etc.
Just a few observations, nothing to deter from our week - the carpet in the condo was a little worn. We were surprised to find one of the two baths downstairs - that could have been a misunderstanding from our part. We expected to have a bathroom attached to both upstairs bedrooms but we managed!
Weather was a little cooler than we had hoped for but at least we missed the latest snowstorm back home!
This condo has fantastic views, beach front with little crowds. The condo was clean where needed, kitchen, bathrooms, linens. It definitely needs a good cleaning and maintenance. Crud in bathroom corners, cracked shower tiles, screen door doesn't prop open, dishwasher not mounted, layer of dust on baseboards, scuff marks on walls, stained carpet, and 2nd level balcony door was too loud / hard to open and would wake up anyone sleeping in 2nd bedroom. Itrip did respond to our needs when the balcony chairs were broken. They replaced them the next day, which was super responsive. I didn't report any of the other issues because it seems it's already been mentioned in several previous reviews without anything being done.
The condo was exactly as described and photographed. We loved it there. The beach was beautiful and quiet. The condo was equipped with anything a person could need. Best vacation!
My family and I recently enjoyed this property for a Spring Break Trip. We were overall very pleased with this unit.
The size and layout were very comfortable for our small family.
I do need to note a few items that we noticed while staying here because as someone who reads reviews, I think it's nice to know the positive & negative aspects.
Upon check in, the unit appeared clean and did not have any odd smells. The carpeting looks like it has been heavily used and had several stains. The master bedroom was very roomy and comfortable. The view is amazing. All you see is the ocean. The only drawback to the balcony is that its only accessible from the master so eating out there is a little awkward as you're up a level from the kitchen. The furniture on the balcony could also use an upgrade. The balcony door was not great. The screen door sticks in the track and doesn't slide well and the actual sliding glass door rattles in the wind. We had to prop something against it almost every night to sleep.
That being said, we didn't feel like any of these issues were worthy of a complaint while staying.
The kitchen was fairly well stocked. Not everything was super clean but it met our standards. It's nice having a bathroom on each floor. The lower level shower head is worthy of a pressure washer but my son loved it and thought it was like getting a massage. :) I'd avoid it if you get a sunburn.
The best part of this place was the Beach!! Amazing. This building is directly on the beach. No grassy dunes or limited walkways. Wide open and very accessible. There is also an outdoor, Oceanside pool. The pool area was clean and it was nice to have the option.
We saw dolphins often swimming very close to shore.
We walked the beach, shell hunting everyday and never needed shoes. We also walked to Caddys a couple of times and had a good time there.
Another bonus to this location is that it's off the busy roadway that runs along the ocean. It's quiet and felt very safe.
They had great beach chairs & an umbrella as well as several beach toys in the unit.
We took other visitors advice & stowed these items in the trunk of our car so we didn't have to haul them up & down every day.
Overall, we loved our trip and would stay at this unit again. It could use a little work but it was nicely decorated and comfortable with an unbeatable view!
The pros: this condo is in the perfect location, directly on Sunset beach, away from the hustle and bustle of Treasure Island, but close enough to walk, if that's what you like. The sunsets, the dolphin watching, the waves crashing, all available to see from the private balcony off the master bedroom. The furniture is comfortable, and the condo is well stocked with anything you will need. Easy in and out checkin-checkout process, no problems at all with Wifi, with the locks, everything was great. Décor is beachy and cute.
The cons: the carpet is old and stained, the screens are torn and it's not spotless- bathrooms (showers), kitchen (dishes) and floors (bare feet=dirty feet) although the linens were clean.
Overall a great place to stay, well worth the $, just would have liked it to be cleaner.
This condo is in a perfect location with lots of room. The condo itself was OK, the carpets are stained andold, the screens are torn and it wasn't super clean. However, the furniture was comfortable and honestly, the view was worth the price. Would stay here again. Easy to get in and out, absolutely no issues with the door locks or Wifi, very smooth. Close to everything, and far enough away to be quiet. Just what we needed :_)
Super location in a quieter part of Treasure Island. Loved the "penthouse" with its private balcony off the master bedroom. Well equipped and comfortable. Waking up to the sight snd sound of the waves and enjoying the bright moon at night would all be hard to beat. Great beach for walking and friendly neighbors. Hope to go back.
