Fantastic Beach House. Private and comfortably furnished for the whole family.
If you are searching for a spacious and private home that puts you directly on the the white, sandy beaches of Madeira, this is the place. With its unique floor plan, this house gives everyone in the group space and amenities that make it a one-of-a-kind vacation home.
The house is divided up into three private living areas, each with it's own kitchen, bathrooms, and living areas. There is a private beachfront balcony upstairs, and a large beachfront patio area downstairs. It's the perfect place for multiple families traveling together.
The two downstairs bedrooms each have a Queen size bed, and share one bathroom with an oversize bath tub. Upstairs, facing the beach, the Master Suite has an enormous four post King size bed, with its own totally renovated and spacious private bathroom with large walk in shower. On the other side of the house, the fourth bedroom features another very private bedroom with a lovely King size bed and shares a bathroom (with tub) with the fifth bedroom. The fifth bedroom is setup with two new Queen beds and is setup in a "studio" layout with a living room area and kitchen. There is an additional bathroom with shower on the upstairs floor. For extra sleeping capacity, there are three queen size pullout couches available placed through the house.
There are two full kitchens on the top floor, and a main fully equipped kitchen on the lower floor. Each of the three kitchens includes a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee-maker, and complete kitchenware. There is a new downstairs dining table with seating capacity for everyone, so big meals are not a problem.
Walk out the back door and through the patio and your feet are literally in the sand. The outdoor patio area has plenty of seating, loungers, a Gas BBQ, even a fire-pit. For more space and a little quiet time, the upstairs beach front balcony is perfect for your morning coffee and the view is just breathtaking.
For entertainment, there are flat screen TV's in every bedroom and two large 50" flat screens in both the upstairs and downstairs living rooms, DVD players, free high-speed WiFi, and free long distance and local telephone service. There are beach chairs, plenty of patio furniture, and even a good selection of beach toys for your pleasure. The house also includes a complete set of bath and beach towels, all linens and blankets, and a full complement of plates and kitchenware.
It's fully setup for the most demanding of vacationers!
Please note, we are not able to accommodate any weddings or large events at the house. Parking is available for up to three vehicles.
Absolutely loved our stay at the Yoda Beach House! The house is huge and the layout allows privacy for multiple families while still spending your stay together. We had a few minor maintenance Issues and each time someone responded and handled the problem within the hour. We will definitely stay here again! Beautiful house in a beautiful location!
Our extended family of 10 stayed at Yoda house and had a great time. There was plenty of room for everyone. We really enjoyed the fire pit and outdoor space. It was great to be so close to the ocean. We were there over Memorial day weekend so the beach was quite crowded initially. However during the week, it wasn't so busy. The house looks just as the photos show. I would recommend it for families or larger groups.
In love with this place! Plenty of room right on a beautiful beach!!! Sat out on the patio at night with a fire in the pit-awesome!!! The called the day we were checking in and said the washer broke but they more than reimbursed us for our minor inconvenience
We had a wonderful time with extended family at the Yoda Beach House! The location on the beach is perfect! We selected this property to allow everyone to have their own space while still having enough room for everyone to hang out together. It worked exactly as we had hoped and was perfect for our group. Overall, the house is beautiful in so many ways. There were a few small things that kept us from rating it a five that we might make suggestions on - 1) although the floors had been swept and were free of sand, they really need a really good mopping. 2) Except for the sliding glass doors, the windows badly need washing and all of the blinds did not raise properly or did not have the turn stick to open the blinds. We wanted to open the windows to let the light in and either the blinds didn't open or the windows were so dirty we didn't want them to be open. I know it's difficult with the salt air. 3) We were drawn to this property partly due to the three kitchens. It wasn't until check-in that we received the info that they were not all stocked and we had to rely on the "main" kitchen. This didn't work very well for our situation and honestly, there wasn't enough baking dishes or mixing bowls to support all three kitchens. Some of the kitchen utensils were rusty and unsafe. I made a trip to the dollar store for some very basic things (which I left there). For a property this nice, I would encourage that a little bit of money be invested to properly stock all three kitchens. 4) A few maintenance issues - upstairs middle bedroom TV does not work. Although someone stopped by and told us that upon check-in, there was no follow-up and it was not fixed during our stay. Downstairs main bathroom door does not work properly from the inside. Wall switch outlet in main kitchen is coming loose from the wall. Not sure the cleaning crew is reporting items that need to be fixed. 5) The description made us think that the smaller room with the king -size bed upstairs had a private bath. This was not the case. The bathroom off that room is more conducive for the suite room. We based our group cost share on the amenities for each room, and it was a bit unfortunate since we had internally charged more for this room and it didn't end up being what was expected. Overall the wonderful positive things about the Yoda house far outweigh the minor things and we had a wonderful week! Thank you for sharing the home with others!
This was our fourth year at Yoda Beach House for our annual "Feast" of friends (and our 22nd year in all)! We love this house. Nowhere else can you find a group house where each couple or family can have their own private space, yet there are gathering areas big enough for everyone.
We cook a holiday meal, so the three kitchens are awesome.
The location right on the beach is great. While next to a public beach access, it tends to be a quiet part of the beach. We felt like we had our own private beach, even on weekends.
We love gathering around the fire pit at night. We love watching the sunset from the upstairs balcony. We love the extra-large dining room table downstairs (seats a ton - 10 or 12? We are only 8). We love the new screens on the upstairs doors - we were able to leave the doors open at night and hear the ocean without worrying about bugs getting in.
The new washer/dryer upstairs is a nice touch.
We also love being able to walk (it is a longish walk - about a mile) to all the shops and restaurants at John's Pass. Waltz Fish Shak is a group favorite every year. This year we discovered the new eating/drinking area directly ON the water at The Hut. Mad Beach Brewery has only been at John's Pass about year - it's clean and upscale. Also new to our group this year, the Mad Beach Fish House - fresh fish and a good view, and a tad closer than John's Pass. We loved the Bloody Mary Bar for breakfast.
The Publix on the Tom Stuart Causeway is only about a 2.5 mile drive. The Speedway directly across the street from the house is great if you need some coffee or even forgot your toothbrush.
We had some maintenance issues (a door came off track, a sink was leaking) and iTrip responded and had someone there within an hour on a Saturday. He was friendly and professional and fixed everything we asked.
We love this house and hope we can continue to have our annual gathering there for years to come.
