Super convenient and safe east end St.Thomas location. Spacious balcony with great breeze and beautiful down island views. Enjoy a romantic dinner out on your own private veranda. Kick back and enjoy a good book or lazy afternoon nap while stretching out with a nice tropical breeze! Walk to Red Hook for all the night action and enjoy great food and libations.
Quietly air conditioned master bedroom with glass slider to veranda. Super comfy queen size bed. (no worries...high thread count cotton sheets, memory foam topper) 2 Large flat screen TVs with Sat/DVD, Stereo and WiFi. Cozy living room with full size fold out futon. Full glass sliders out to veranda. Let in that nice fresh ocean air! Fully appointed kitchen. Full size fridge with ice maker. Walk to Red Hook restaurants, shopping and St. John ferry. Great pool with large deck and beautiful panoramic views!
Especially for our guests...Set up a fun-filled day of sailing and snorkeling with owner Capt. Jim aboard Jester! 2 for 1 deals for guests staying in the condo.
Second stay at this beautiful piece of paradise. Nothing is overlooked. Incredible location, privacy abounds! The terrace is AMAZING, as are the hosts Jim + Amanda. Terra cotta steps lead you through luscious plants and flowers, past the pool ( which has a view to die for), leads you into the condo.I can't say enough about this condo...decent wifi, and it sits just above Red Hook, so you can even hear the music wafting up the hill from the clubs below. Convenient to everything. Condo has a full sized fridge (yay), and lots of spices, sauces, and condiments ready for use. Jim + Amanda also had a bottle of Cruzan Rum waiting there for us, with many other flavored varieties to be consumed if we wished to. Soft fluffy linens and towels. Also went on an amazing day sail on Captain Jim's catamaran, another story in itself! I'll never stay anywhere else on St, Thomas. Thanks again to our hosts for a perfect stay.
description lived up to expectations! Owners were so gracious as to share all cooking spices and having a full refrigerator is a luxury. The view is beautiful! Need to beware that you do have to climb about 10-12 steps to get to condo, so it's not handicap accessible and if you have a hard time hauling luggage, probably not your place. Owners responded promptly to items needed during our stay. Highly recommend it! VERY reasonable! Thanks for sharing your personal space with us! We really enjoyed our stay.
My two girlfriends and I met at the airport, rented a car, and followed directions to Redhook and the condo. It IS up a steep hill and driving on the left does make for an interesting ride home. What a true treasure! The location is private, yet near all of the conveniences of town. It really felt welcoming and is so homey. I spent many mornings lounging by the pool which also has an amazing view over town and of St. John. The ferry is so close and costs $12 round trip to St. John's - take it!! Local taxi driver "Jackie" was awesome on St John where there is lots of fun shopping and restaurants only 20 minutes away. From our deck you could watch the ferry run back and forth, see the whole harbor, and view town from and eagle's eye perspective. You can easily walk the 10 minutes UP the hill if necessary, but we enjoyed our car as so many beaches were really 5 or 10 minutes away. The location was safe and we all hiked home at night without feeling any worries or ask any local bar to call Yisrael [taxi driver] for a ride home if you need it 24/7. Jim and Amanda were quick to respond to any questions we had. We did take advantage of our sailing discount - what a lovely day and we discovered yet another gorgeous beach to visit where the Jester was kept. Jim was an excellent captain and we had the whole boat to ourselves. We only sailed for 1/2 day - I would reccommend scheduling your sail early to take advantage of a full day sail! Jim had a list on hand in a binder of several restaurants, activities, grocery store info, etc - ITP had the best pizza, Big Bamboo was great for burgers, and the Food Center was right down the road. The pictures accurately describe the condo. It was very warm and inviting with beautiful breezes on the verandah. It was like being at home away from home. We found Bolongo Bay fun for games, hammocks, and that young beachy feel. Magan's Bay was gorgeous. Secret Harbor and Lindquist Beach [now Smith Bay] were the most local and my favorites. Check out the local jewelry at Sapphire Beach M/T/W. Duffy's had free drinks for ladies on Wed nights and Lattitude 18 has live music you can hear from your balcony - but go find it across the harbor! Very local and fun. It was fun to run into Jim in town regularly and feel like a local with all of our new friends! We had the luxury of a tropical vacation with the comforts of home at the end of the day. If you want privacy and a great location - THIS is it.
It was everything and more than expected. The view from the deck was tremendous and we spent time on it as as much as we could when we were around the condo. The picture on their site that overlooked the harbor is right on. Amanda was very good to deal with and her laid back style was very refreshing. The condo was very nicely appointed and we felt right at home. It was a real gem and we will plan on renting there again. Great location, cool place, nice people - could not have asked for more!
The condo is up on " Red Hook Mountain" ( as the taxi drivers called it). Fantastic view of the Ferry Terminal and the shops/restaurants in Red Hook. Amanda was spot on in responding to emails/texts. She was waiting for us at Duffy's, and drove us up to the condo. ( We rented a car later in our stay). The condo has all the comforts of home, especially in the kitchen. It was stocked well with spices and condiments from soy sauce to black pepper. There was even a sushi mat. Tons of utensils, tongs, spatulas and pasta fork. Important to us as we cooked all but 2 or 3 meals there. The linens are quality, and plenty of towels ( extra towels and linens in closet in bathroom). Flat screen tv's in living room and bedroom, with satellite. Wifi efficient and not too slow, with available printer for boarding passes etc. Amp for laptop for music. I cannot say enough about this condo. We spent most of our time on the terrace, good size, which had a love seat, chaise, dining table for 2 and a Weber charcoal grill (we didn't use). Lots of privacy. The pool was great, the view from there incredible! The entry is down terracotta stairs, that wind through a garden of lush plants and foliage. It really feels like paradise. Little touches like candles and plants, books, etc made for a nice stay. The road to the condo is a private access road. Easy walk ( 5 minutes) down to shops/restaurants. The walk back up was not doable for me ( I did it once), but I am out of shape and a smoker. My bad. We got a taxi at the ferry terminal with no problem, Once we got our rental car, it was a non issue. The incline reminded me of San Francisco. Only saw our neighbors once or twice, they were very friendly. All in all, a fantastic stay, fabulous view from a big terrace overlooking Red Hook Ferry/shops restaurants. Highly recommend this condo. It is a perfect vantage point, private, and perfect for day trips to nearby beaches and St. John. Already planning a return trip!
This was our first visit to Saint Thomas. We had many choices to rent a condo. Amanda did a great job communicating with us before we rented and was there when we needed her when we arrived. We chose this one because of the view. Pictures don't do it justice!! You have to be there to appreciate it. The condo was the perfect size for my wife and me. It has a great entrance with all the tropical plants. Very safe and clean. The road to the condo is an adventure in itself if your from the flat land of Illinois. You are right above Red Hook ferry and the harbor. The first day we went ot the store and bought groceries. The best store is about 1 mile down the road. I would suggest you rent a car. We drove all over the island for almost 2 weeks and our car only used $30 worth of gas. The pool was never used because we spent all of time at different beaches. There are many restaurants in Red Hook. Be sure you venture to the north part of the island and eat at 'Thirteen'. The BEST place to eat!! Just ask anybody for directions. One benefit to rent the condo is Jim will take you sailing for a day at half price. That was the most fun we had on the island. If you look out you deck, across the harbor is Latitudes 18-a little bar with lot of fun- be sure you go there. We are hoping to move to the island soon and have our own piece of paradise.
Super convenient and safe East End St.Thomas location. Just above Red Hook and American Yacht Harbor. Easy access to taxis, shopping, market, banks, post office and pharmacy. Walk to Duffy's Love Shack, Island Time Pub, Caribbean Saloon and 15 other bars, restaurants and eateries! Walk to St. John and British Virgin Islands Ferry Terminals. AYH Marina with charter boat rentals, fishing charters and Scuba diving center. Close to most major resorts. Just a short ride to Coki Beach, Sapphire Beach and Linquist Beach (now Smith Bay Park...the BEST secluded beach on St. Thomas!) Kayak, Windsurfing and Kiteboarding rentals and lessons at West Indies Windsurfing on Vessup Beach.
