This rental was very nice for a big group. It's pretty secluded which is nice for us. It had a huge yard and a beautiful deck!! Our three year old loved being able to run free in the yard. The basement are was great and spacious. It had two bedrooms, a living room and full kitchen and full bathroom, we loved it!! The main floor was nice with a living room, full kitchen, and half bath. The upstairs master was very spacious and wonderful. We would definitely stay here again. Laurie was extremely easy to work with and any issues that we had (which weren't many) and she was very quick to respond.
Our family fell in love with this rather spacious cabin in the beautiful coastal woods of Rockport. It is the perfect central location to see the best of Maine's coastal region highlights. In our week we were able to visit Bar Harbor, hike the trails of Acadia National Park, enjoy the sites and history of Searsport, Lincolnville, Camden and Rockport, combed the beaches in Owl's Head, experienced the Old Pier and Atlantic Ocean at Old Orchard Beach and shopped the L.L. Bean in Freeport. This cabin provided us everything needed to make our first exploration of Maine wonderful. It's amazing charm had us begging to make it our own! I've never been more disappointed to see a vacation end. Hopefully, we will find ourselves here again next year....for two weeks!
We spent a week here while we explored the wonderful coast of Maine. The house was very spacious and well-appointed, and we enjoyed watching the birds and chipmunks from the back porch. My older son enjoyed having the basement apartment to himself. Very close to local towns; we spent our days exploring the coastal area and enjoying some terrific lobster!
There were a few minor things to be attended to when we arrived. Management was very responsive. We were vacationing with adult children so the amount of space and the number of bathrooms was unlike any previous rental. Great location.... quiet but nearby great towns to explore. We had a nesting mourning dove on the porch who produced two babies before we left. Would highly recommend this rental.
My husband and I have been coming to this wonderful log cabin for years. It is roomy with a great gas fireplace , loft bedroom and fully equipped kitchen. The rear deck overlooks a big lawn on a very private multi acre lot & great for sipping coffee in the am or wine in the evening. It has an attached garage & full basement apartment if need be. It truly is our home away from home..and the only complaint is we never want to leave!
Our log cabin stay was a fitting introduction to Mid Coast Maine. Quietly secluded in the forest, it provided a spacious, clean home base to explore the scenic and cultural attractions of the area that are very nearby. We especially enjoyed the back porch with plenty of rockers & chairs for comfortably enjoying the many birds plus plenty of peace & quiet. Of the many places to explore, I highly recommend the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland...a well displayed collection of American artists who have lived or worked in Maine. Lots of places to enjoy good seafood too: our favorites included Atlantica in Camden and an outside table at The Pearl in Rockland. Great chowder!
Rockport is a small Maine Harbor village in the heart of Midcoast Maine. Well loved by locals and visitors, spectacular mountains meeting the oceans edge. Some of the best views and hiking opportunities in Maine. Lots of local artists and an opera house offering dance, music, and plays year round. Many fine art galleries, a harbor park with historical landmarks, day trip sailing cruises, and more. Come visit local museums, beaches, light houses, and off-shore islands. Spend the evening at one of the many wonderful restaurants in the area.
