This new state-of-the-art beach bungalow with a granite seawall on two sides
has an uninterrupted view across the waters in front to Lions Head and behind is
the magnificent world heritage site of Table Mountain. To enjoy this magnificent
setting, the bungalow is fitted with glass windows on every side. Landscape
wonders like Lion’s Head are visible from the kitchen, living room, main bedroom
and even the bathroom!
The house physically abuts the sea such that indoors you feel very much part
of the outdoors. You can slide back all the glass doors and then the house
becomes part of the rocks, beach and seascape. Luxurious but not pretentious—
the house blends into this environment and allows you to experience it in the
most relaxed way.
The house is private when you want it and is open to nature as and when you
wish it. It is very green as well (solar panels, water recycling).
There are too many luxurious features to list them all (please send an e-mail if
there is some feature of concern to you) but among them:
• Wooden decks all around leading to a private entertainment area that
includes a Jacuzzi hot tub recessed into the deck, seating, table, a
pagoda/gazebo, barbecue and sink
• Three bedrooms (master and 2 guests)—all with views and an optional
bedroom now furnished as an office
• Two bathrooms, one with a bidet, large tub and a boulder on one side to
form the wall
• The gorgeous open plan kitchen has magnificent views with all the works
(gas stove, microwave and convection oven, icemakers, etc.)
• Wireless internet throughout the property
• Flat screen HD TV in all the rooms with satellite and built in speakers for
music throughout the house
• Beautiful gardens (including some with herbs for cooking)
• An outdoor shower nestled among the boulders on the property
• A garage available
• A large basement with washer/dryer, bathroom and other amenities
(perfect for production companies doing photo shoots)
• No steps—from the street and throughout the house and decks
• Easy walk into restaurants, shops and beach in Camps Bay (but the house
is on a more exclusive and quiet beach)

It's obvious! A one of a kind house with a billion dollar view that fills the senses!
Probably the most unique thing is that it is situated right on the rocks and beach, within a nature reserve with mountains behind and yet close enough to the Cape Town city centre as to be there in 15 minutes.
This was the most magical stay that we have experienced. Beautiful house, simple, comfortable and luxurious. Waking up in the morning to the sound of the ocean and sitting on the rocks outside the house watching the sunset. Wow but the ocean is sure cold. A very peaceful and energising holiday!
My husband, our 2 young adult daughters, and I stayed at the beach house on the rocks for 5 nights. It was the perfect place from which we explored Capetown. After busy days of sightseeing, we enjoyed relaxing at the house with amazing views in every direction and spectacular sunsets. There is convenient parking on the street. We drove our rental car from the house to Cape Point, but otherwise used Uber to go into the city center, V & A Waterfront, Table Mtn, Kirstenbosch Gardens, etc. The house is modern and immaculately clean with very comfortable beds and great showers. Bernard, the owner, had wonderful suggestions for restaurants, sightseeing, etc. and he was able to provide someone to do our laundry at the house so we had more time to see the sights!
As many times as we have stayed there it was always a fantastic stay for the entire family. There is no better place on the beach in Camps Bay.
This place was absolutely incredible. The home is built into the rocks and has the most amazing views. It has expansive and impressive views of Table Mountain. We had 4 adults and each had it's own space to stretch out in plus great shared living space. We took full advantage of the doors that open completely up and enjoyed the gorgeous sunset from our home. The hot tub was great after a long day of sightseeing. The home is so unique and beautiful... the master bath has a fantastic tub and massive gorgeous rocks inside the bathroom as the home is built into the mountainside.
Bernard was great and hospitable. He helped us to find some great things to do with the rest of our trip and when the wifi went down, he even let us use his personal computer to do required business. The home is in a great spot in Camp's Bay and is just a quick trip to local beaches, restaurants, and bars. Would absolutely go back and recommend this incredible place to anyone.
Tried the One & Only, Cape Grace, Table Bay and Delaire Graff before. 2 weeks living on the rocks was beating them all: so impressive, relaxing and breathtaking at the same time. The location is probably the best in Cape Town/Camps Bay. Luxury and nature at its best. The beach bungalow offers everything you'd expect from a exclusive resort style home including twice a week maid service. We'll come again soon!
I'm not sure what to say except WOW WOW WOW!!! This place is amazing and seems to good to be true but IT IS AWESOME! You can not go wrong with staying here. This place is built right out on the boulders. You are right on the water and looking out at two beautiful mountains. One is table top. You can climb around on the boulders or go down to two different beaches. The house is walking distance to Camps Bay, shops and great restaurants. It's also a close drive to other great beaches and Hout Bay. Anyone would enjoy this place! We will stay here again! The owner Bernie is wonderful and is very helpful.
A 5 star WOW!
A fantastic house, with a great beach, perfect location to town, unbelievable sunsets and…A great host! As all of the reviews earlier stated, “Wished we had stayed longer”…5 nights is not enough. From the minute we arrived Bernie and Rich were taking care of every need and want. Shopping was taken care of; a fantastic massage was lined up to take care of any jet lag. Bernie also lined up a great driver and guide, Daniel Pagmar (ALLABOUT CAPE TOWN; 021.425.1255). Camps Bay is a great location to enjoy the beach, as well as, Cape Town. Just a short hop over and you are in down town. Very safe, very pretty and lots to do! Thanks for a great stay and we will be back!
