The residence has shared swimming pool and is situated 1,5km from the beach, 1 km from the centre of Villefranche and 500 m to all conveniences. Independent fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, dish washer, oven and electric cook top. Living room with TV, dining area with sofa bed (sleeps 2 persons), large panorama windows opening onto the terrace; 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds (1m40 large). This was our home for one week in September 2008. We absolutely loved the property’s great panoramic views from both the deck and the upstairs patio.

First the pros. Magnificent view, relatively quiet area (except for the odd motorcycle or scooter) amenities within walking range for fit people, small lift and the cleanliness of the suite

The Cons. Property is a little hard to find. Parking could be a problem. Potentially difficult walking to amenities for non-fit people (hills) Streets are very narrow and not especially well marked so driving is somewhat difficult.

The property managers who live and work in nearby Nice are very accommodating. Note: Telephones do not allow any outbound calls so reporting any problems must be done to the on-site caretaker who lives on the main floor.

Our overall rating would be 9 out of 10 which should indicate to everyone how much we enjoyed our stay in this property. We would recommend highly.

Villefranche is situated 4kms from Nice Centre and 7km from Nice International airport. A well kept secret as it retains it's charm due to lack of major hotels nearby. The train which is 7 minutes away runs all along the coast. Nice or Monaco are ten minutes away or you can be in Italy in 40 minutes. Drive into the hills and visit Eze or St Paul de Vence. Antibes and Cannes are within easy reach. This area has so much to offer from art, history, luxury and indulgence - whatever your taste. Villefranche old town dates back to the 12th century and is full of history and good places to eat plus a wonderful beach and sea to swim in. This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the world.
