Come stay on a tropical beach in a charming cottage, only a short walk from Cockburn Town on the lovely peaceful island of Grand Turk. Breathtaking views, a wonderful beach, superb swimming, diving and snorkeling are right outside your front door. The combination of fun, informal restaurants, expert dive shops, friendly locals, and a relaxed pace of living makes a vacation in Grand Turk uniquely appealing. A trip to Grand Turk transports you back to the 'Old Caribbean,' before big hotels, high rises and crowds of tourists.
Enjoy dazzling water views all day, and relax with a drink or dinner while watching beautiful sunsets. The beach has small tidal pools, shade and (usually) gentle waves. No need to worry about 'reserving a beach chair' on Grand Turk. Instead, miles of virtually empty beaches on the western shore offer a tranquility that is hard to find in the modern world.
This house is part of Island Passage, which has this cottage, a three bedroom, two bath house (listing number 3628761), and a one bedroom unit.
The open plan cottage has a fully functional kitchenette, a large screened porch with a lounging and dining area, ceiling fans and air conditioning. The fenced in yard protects the landscaping from wandering horses and cows. it is literally a few steps away through your gate to the shade of the Casuarina trees on the beach. You can beachcomb and snorkel in front of the cottage, get picked up by a dive boat for a fantastic experience on Grand Turk's Wall, stroll into town (150 yards away) to wander down Duke Street, or rent a bike or hire a taxi to go a little further afield.

Relaxing living space, gorgeous ocean colors
Quaint cottage, ocean at the end of the back yard. There was never anyone on that part of the beach. Faces west, so glorious sunsets. Within walking distance of several restarants and small grocery store. Very enjoyable trip.
Great place to unwind. Equipped with everything you need.
Cottage is in walking distance to several restaurants and right on the water tucked away but still in close proximity to things. We rented a golf cart from Omar who was very accommodating. It was a nice way to see the island. We took an excursion to Gibbs Cay and snorkeled "The Wall". We took the golf cart to Governor's beach which had an easier access point to the water and was not so rocky. We really enjoyed our stay at the beach cottage. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch which is a great place to relax with a cocktail or read a book.
Great place to unwind and just relax
If you are looking for a place to just unwind and totally relax then you need to go to this Island and rent this house. It is a great place for two people to stay. If you want something bigger they also own Island Passage that can hold a lot more people. I'm glad my wife and I choose the house we did it was perfect for us. There is a beautiful beach right in front out the house. There was a lot of beautifuly worn seaglass on the beach. My wife and I picked up about 10 pounds of seaglass. From big thick bottom of bottles that came from very old rum bottles to many green pieces of glass and a few blue pieces. There are also wild horses and Donkeys that roamed the island. We had 3 Donkeys come into the yard while we were there and eat the grass. I feed one lettuce right from my hand. He followed me around the yard for awhile looking for more handouts. There is also a few small bars and restaurants within a very short walking distance. There is a grocery store called Quality within walking distance too. It doesn't have a lot but you can get by if needed. If you rent a car I suggest going to E&R grocery store. We saw well stocked shelfs. Cees grocery store was just ok.
Again if you want place to rent that is very quite this is a great house to rent!!!
The cottage is a perfect place to get away on the beach.
I very much enjoyed my stay in Grand Turk. The cottage is located right by the beach with very few others around. It is also very close to Cockburn. I would have rated it higher except for some maintenance issues. The water pressure was too low and variable. Then I had no water a couple of days into the trip. That was fixed by the end of the day. Apparently the hurricane had caused sand to get into the system and stopped the flow. Once they cleaned it out including the shower head, I had great pressure the rest of the week. Shannon was very responsive to us. There were also construction workers on the roof of the companion home on the property the whole week. Here again this was due to the hurricane. The whole island is struggling to rebuild and start up again. I would recommend the cottage as a charming place to stay— it will only be better with time to recover from a disaster. The bed was comfortable and the screened in porch was wonderful. The town is charming and feels like walking back in time. I hope to return someday soon.
Thanks for your feedback - maintenance is a constant struggle on small islands! I am lucky to have a good team on the island to help with problems like this!
Perfect for relaxing and scuba
My wife and I visiting Grand Turk for a 2nd time. We loved this cottage. The facility itself was great, as advertised, nothing fancy, fully functional, cozy and comfortable.
The location is amazing, particularly so for scuba. We had our own sand beach directly on front of us, empty except for us 90% of the time. A one minute stroll up the beach took us to the dive boat for Grand Turk Diving, our preferred scuba operation in Grand Turk. The same one minute stroll took us back to our cottage for our surface interval and after our 2nd dive of the morning.
We loved the quiet neighborhood, the walk to restaurants and Quality grocery store, the outdoor shower and the screened in porch.
We used the kitchen to prepare some meals. Never tried the TV or AC. Not our thing. If this is also not your thing, good chance you would also live this place.
We have stayed on the Island before but the first time here and as usual it was great We had the pleasure of meeting the owners of this cottage and they couldn't of been more helpful. The check in was quick and friendly and we where on the beach within an hour of landing. It's within walking distance to everything you need. The screened inn porch was pretty much our living space when we where there. Would recommend this spot to anyone as a matter of fact I have friends looking at it right now!
The map location is not entirely accurate. We are the second to last house at the southern end of Duke Street. Or the first property south of the Osprey Beach Hotel. I guess even Google Maps has its limitations! The cottage is on the same property as our larger 3 bedroom house listing number 3628761. If you would like to talk about it please call me at 917-689-0546
