About Debie Stellway
Dear Guest, This house is rented with a 31 day minimum. I love Portland. My husband and I grew up in Southern CA and fell in love with Portland and then moved to Oregon in 1980. We have raised our kids here and live next door to this rental property. I would like to share it with you and would enjoy meeting guests from around the world.
Debie Stellway purchased this House in 2015
Why Debie Stellway chose Forest Highlands
We love the view and thought visitors would also.
What makes this House unique
This piece of Oregon is unique. In Portland we have Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, Art Museums and Theater. You can take a 3 hour "Portlandia" tour and see the sights made famous by the show. Our "City of Roses" has a beautiful rose garden, renowned Japanese Garden, Forestry Center, Oregon Zoo and Children's Museum all in Washington Park. We have amazing food here and Portland has been rated by a national periodical with having one of the top three food cart scenes in the world behind Istanbul and Singapore. The Willamette River flows north into the grand Columbia River that was mapped by Lewis and Clark. It's 100 year old scenic highway has waterfalls, leisurely or vigorous hiking trails, dams and fisheries to tour. Bandon Fishery has a pond with an underwater view of a prehistoric fish, the sturgeon. There are many walking and biking tours in Portland. Biking is sacred here. We have bike tours of; historic downtown, breweries and food carts. You can rent bikes, get biking maps and see sights close up on your own in the city or in the locations mentioned below. Try a Segway tour of Portland. It's a blast. Outside of Portland we have 500 wineries in the Willamette Valley where you can visit vineyards and tasting rooms surrounded by beautiful vistas of the Cascade Mountains. Toward our rocky coast we have pockets to explore of sandy beaches and artsy beach towns. The Tillamook Cheese Factory tours and their renowned ice cream is a must when you drive west. To the east we have majestic Mt. Hood with Timberline ski resort and it's stone lodge built during the WPA era by craftsman from all over the US. Whether you go there to ski, hike or eat, you won't be disappointed. Oregon City, just 9 miles south on the road from this house, was the end of the trail for many wagon trains and they have history to share in museums and an Interpretive Center. Please come visit. I'd love to share what I know and answer any questions.

Beautiful place to stay
Calm location although close to the city. Nice access to public transit. House has everything you could need.
Clean and cozy
It was great having you for the holiday month. Thanks for leaving it so nice, I could hardly tell you had been there.
One of a kind home, fantastic views, every comfort of home with close proximity to all PDX offers
My family and I can't say enough good things about this property. We entertained three separate groups of family and friends during our 31 day stay, all different age groups and sizes. This house was able to accommodate all our needs. The owners live next door and solve any issue or question immediately. They are great people who want you to enjoy the property stress free. The view from many areas of the house is breathtaking. You feel like you are right on the Willamette River. The interiors are tastefully done and very comfortable. The gardens surrounding the property are lush and carefully maintained. The house is well stocked with all the necessities and amenities you will need. Add to all these features the fact that you are five miles from downtown Portland and next to Lake Oswego and you have a perfect home away from home.
I can recommend a chef to cater your meals while you are visiting so you can eat in front of your beautiful view. If you care for a cleaning service during your visit I can recommend one of those also.
