This was a great place to relax and enjoy the change of season... private & still close to the city. The house was cozy and very comfortable with many amenities. The pooch was happy too. Perfect host! Thank you. S.I. New York

Great location!! We came here for our 1 year Anniversary. The house is secluded but 5 minutes from downtown and 5 minutes from Overlook Mountain. Jacuzzi is awesome! Bed is very comfortable. Fully stocked kitchen. It is very nice here, we really enjoyed our stay! We highly recommend it here!!!

Great place - great location

  • 5 of 5

Sage is a fantastic cabin in the woods, in a great location. In the morning we walked down Ricks Rd to SunfroatbFarm. Great place for fresh delicious breakfast (or lunch) highly Recomanded. we loved the hot tub. Once we We're lucky to see a deer pass by, while we were in the jacuzzi. The bed is super comfortable. The cabin very clean. The folder with Recomanded hikes and swimming holes was very helpful. Mirav is a super host, we texted her twice with questions and she got right back to us. Kitchen fully stocked. We spent hours lounging on the deck. We are definitely coming back in the fall. Thanks Mirav for a great time.

Woodstock Magic

  • 5 of 5

Secluded but not remote, modern but cozy, eat-off-the-floors clean with a well-stocked kitchen and a wrap-around deck with gorgeous views of rustling trees, Sage is a magical cabin in the woods. From higher-tech touches like a CD/iPod stereo, cable TV and Netflix to smaller touches like plenty of extra towels , up-to-date travel guides and the right kind of coffee filters, Mirav has thought of everything necessary to make guests happy. Mine was a mother-daughter trip so we brought an inflatable bed and it fit perfectly in the bedroom. There is a pull-out sofa, but there is so much sun in the main room that it'd be hard to sleep in there. Of course, the sun is not a bad thing. The many windows brought the outdoors inside. Lots to do in the area: Horseback riding at Payne Too Farm in New Paltz, sailing with Captain Jerome's Tivoli Sailing charters in Kingtston, Opus 40 sculpture garden in Saugerties. And so many restaurants: Red Onion and New World Home Cooking in Saugerties, Oriole9 in Woodstock (actually not a tourist trap) and many more. We were sad to leave and will be back soon!

Great location, clean cozy, very private

  • 5 of 5

We had the best 3 days at Sage. The cabin was very clean and the bed supper comfertable. Mirav is a great host, answered questions very fast even came to show us how to work the TV (we don't own one) The location is fantastic! In the woods but very private. We walked to River Rock spa for great facials and massage. The hot tub is the best. Sitting in the water watching the starts, and one afternoon we even watched the dear eating the grass 20 ft away from us. Kitchen had everything we need and my husband LOVED the infrared grill. We already booked our return visit in the fall. Highly recommend this place.

Very nice cabin in a quiet location

  • 4 of 5

My husband, 3 month old daughter and I stayed here for a long weekend. We arrived on a Thursday night and left on Saturday. Friday was a cold day so after going to town for breakfast, we went back to the cabin and hung out there all day - relaxing, napping and enjoying the quiet!

This cabin was very nicely renovated and everything in the main room and bedroom were very nice! The kitchen was well-equipped. We didn't cook in the cabin, but I made coffee every morning and there seemed to be enough cooking supplies for those who wanted to cook. The living room has a nice 'fake' fireplace as a heater and it was very cozy. The bedroom was perfect as well. The bed was comfortable and there was ample closet space. The bathroom was adequate, but not nearly as well-done as the rest of the cabin. It looked a bit shabby. One of the best features is the outdoor hot tub! We enjoyed it in the evenings and a chilly afternoon.

One suggestion to the owner would be to supply additional towels. We only had two towels and had to use them for showers and post-hot tub.

Note: this house is not walking distance to town. It's about a half mile from 212 and then, once on 212, it's another mile or so to the village green. If you are looking for a place where you can walk to town...this is not it. However, if you want proximity to town but a remote, quiet place to return to at the end of an outing, then this place is great!

We ate breakfast both mornings at Oriole 9 - love this place and highly recommend it! We had dinner at the Bear Cafe and at the Red Onion - both were excellent and a very short drive from the house.
