Get ready for your next Tahoe getaway, and come stay in this cozy vacation rental that offers easy access to one of the best private sandy beaches on Lake Tahoe. And if that isn't enough, you can even bring your beloved family dog, too!
Located lakeside on Highway 89 in a quiet neighborhood, just a short walk to the private beach, this comfortable rental puts you on Rubicon Bay (AKA the Gold Coast of Tahoe). The superb location of this property and HO Beach is unbeatable, as the sandy beach includes a protected swimming area with float, pier, beachside volleyball court, and mooring buoys for kayakers (when available). You'll also be just seven miles south of Homewood Mountain Ski Resort, and eight miles north of Emerald Bay.
Step inside and immediately notice the homey atmosphere. With exposed-beam wood ceilings and lots of soft furnishings, it's easy to feel at home here. The living room provides ample seating for gathering to socialize or to watch TV, which comes with Roku streaming. Stoke the fire in the wood-burning stove, and stay toasty warm when it's cool outside. And make good use of the free WiFi access, and look for local attractions or stay in touch with people back home.
Create a tasty dinner in the kitchen, which features all standard appliances, including a dishwasher, then congregate in the dining area that offers plenty of seating at the table for six and is adjacent to the wide kitchen counter with seating for four. During the summer, cook on the deck with the gas grill, and eat outside while you enjoy the warmth of the sun and the lovely smell of pine.
This three-bedroom, two-bath home sleeps up to nine guests, and allows your family canine, too, for a small nightly fee. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed, the second has a queen and a twin, and the third has a queen and a double. There's also a porta-crib available for your tiniest traveller. Feel free to pack light, as this home comes equipped with a new stackable washer and dryer.
During the summer take a stroll to the beach and soak up the sun, read a book, or just sit and marvel at your stunning surroundings. Go hiking or biking, or take the 72-mile drive around the perimeter of Lake Tahoe and stop at the many small towns that dot its shores to grab a bite to eat or to browse gift shops and local bookstores.
In the winter, head north seven miles to Homewood for downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. With eight lifts and 64 runs over more than 750 acres of accessible terrain, Homewood offers snow enthusiasts of all levels - from beginner to expert - fun-filled snow activity.
Spend some time on its slopes, and you'll see why Homewood was ranked one of the Top 10 Resorts in California and Nevada.
