Thank you so much for the complimentary review. It was great meeting the family. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again.
We were impressed by this apartment and loved the mix of original features and modern décor. Linda was very helpful throughout and a pleasure to deal with. The location itself was very convenient for New York with the express train at Utica Ave just 5 minutes walk away. The air conditioning worked well and was most appreciated. The apartment offered excellent value for money and I would not hesitate in recommending it to others. Thanks Linda :)
My husband and I had a five-night stay during a very hot time in July. The A/C worked well and we were able to cool the apartment down quickly when we returned at the end of the day. It's a wonderful location, on a quiet street, within walking distance of several wonderful restaurants as well as the subway. Linda is a thoughtful, helpful host, and we are happy to recommend her property.
Just as the photos indicate, this apartment is spacious, beautiful and clean. Linda was attentive to our needs and graciously answered any questions we had about the neighborhood. We found the apartment to be in a perfect location. It is just a five-minute walk--down beautiful oak and maple-tree lined Stuyvesant Avenue--to the Utica Avenue subway station, where you can jump on the A train to Manhattan. We enjoyed some of the best food we have ever had at nearby restaurants: Emeline's for breakfast, Saraghina and Peaches--the cornbread is a must-have!--for dinner. If you want to eat in, there are multiple places in the area to pick up groceries. We had great weather during our stay and were able to enjoy the wonderful cross-breeze this brownstone apartment provides. This, along with the quiet neighborhood, allowed for wonderful sleeping conditions. A good night's rest gave us the energy we needed to pack each day full. Overall wonderful experience. We have no reservations whatsoever with recommending this apartment to friends or relatives who want the experience of being Brooklynites, if only for a few days. We will definitely be back.
We enjoyed our stay in this incredible flat. The accommodations were perfect. If you go, say hi to Sam at the Green Market from Matt and Pam. We went into Manhattan on the subway and it was very close and fast. Linda was very gracious and her son was helpful. This was our first VRBO stay and we are definitely using it again.
Linda is the most accommodating VRBO host I have ever come across. She made my stay so easy and was consistently offering to help in any way that she could. The place is beautiful with full amenities and everything that you would need. It is exceptionally easy to hop on express A to get to Manhattan if need be. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone that wants a full Brooklyn experience and also the convenience of getting to the city. Thanks again, Linda, you are the best!
Miss. Linda and her son Drew were great host during my stay. They made sure that I was comfortable by contacting me around 3 times during my 4 day stay. The information regarding the Subway and restaurants in the area was a great help! The apartment was as pictured in the photos - clean and well-kept. If you have lived in an apartment you will not be surprised by any noise from the top floor tenant. The tenant was very respectful when he found out that someone was staying in the apartment below.
If you do not want to stay in the hustle of Manhattan, I would recommend this property. The brownstone location felt like a regular neighborhood. The Subway is the best way to get around. It is a few blocks from the apartment, but if you are used to walking in Manhattan the walk to the Subway is a "cake walk". The apartment is around the corner from 2 good restaurants - Earline's and Peaches. I ate at Peaches most of the time.
Uber is the cheapest transportation to the apartment.
