Beautiful Brooklyn

  • 5 of 5

Spent 3 days exploring NYC and coming "home" to this wonderful apartment. It is even better than the photos show! We loved the area (both picturesque and quiet) and the friendly people who lived there. Very easy access to Manhattan on the A line. Linda was a fabulous host - she had lots of great information about the area and was in regular contact with us through out our stay. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking at staying in the burbs! Thanks Linda ... look forward to our return visit :)

The apartment was great with a short walking distance to the subway. Great restaurants within walking distance. Apartment was clean and the neighborhood was quiet.

The apartment is very nice and the owner was very attentive

Everything about the apartment and owner were wonderful. The location was a little too far from where we spent our days in New York City.

Light and Airy in Brooklyn

  • 5 of 5

This light, stylish apartment is even bigger than it looks in the photos. We were happy there, with trees in the front and in the back, on a quiet street. The friendly neighborhood felt safe. It was real instead of yuppy/twee, so that was cool. It's mostly residential, but just two blocks away there's a New York-style grocery store, a few restaurants, and a nice bakery. The kitchen was basic but had everything we needed. Linda even had tea and spices stocked. The pull-out couch was fine: no bar jabbing in your back. Even in the very high 80s we were able to quickly cool down the apartment with her 2 air conditioning units. It never felt like a long walk to the subway--maybe 10 minutes at a very slow pace. Use the subway's park entrance and exit; it's prettiest and even in the dark at 11pm we felt safe using that exit. Linda was awesome. She showed us around the apartment and left good notes for restaurants/food/etc. Sparkly, calm, and genuinely friendly, she is an excellent communicator and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay here. Oh, and, this is the first place I've stayed in NY where two people can fit in the bathroom at the same time :)

Comforts of Home

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time we renting from Linda, and we were not sure what to expect. We were very happy with the house and its location. The house has lots of updates, is decorated nicely, and clean. It rained off and on during our stay, however, that did not stop us from visiting local restaurant and bars. Overall, we loved how close we were to everything.... but even more loved our down days of just relaxing and spending much needed family time with loved ones.
