Upon first entering the house you will say what I and everyone else has said, 'oh my gosh what a view.' Split level home located on the main channel of Lake Hamilton. Spectacular lake view from the living room, master bedroom and 100' lake frontage. The house has a covered dock for boating, swimming and fishing. Relax on the lower level deck overlooking the lake and grill your favorite foods or enjoy a quiet evening watching the breathtaking sunsets from the upper level balcony which is easily accessible from the living room with no steps involved.
Enjoy the lake view from the king size bed in the Master Bedroom on the main level. Second bedroom on the main level boasts antique EastLake furniture originally brought out west on a wagon train.
Beautiful hardwood floors throughout the main level of the home. Kitchen, dining room, living room and full bathroom are located on main level.
The lower level can be a separate living area for watching TV and enjoying the lake view or a third bedroom with a queen size sofa bed and bunk beds for the kids and a full bathroom with separate powder room.
Quiet and secluded, centrally located close to shopping, dining and entertainment. Be sure to visit Bath House Row located in historic downtown Hot Springs National Park and Oaklawn Park racetrack and gaming center.

I moved to Hot Springs in 1983 when, along with my family, I relocated the Belle of Hot Springs Riverboat from Iowa and continue to own and pilot the boat on dinner and sightseeing cruises on Lake Hamilton. During hunting season I am up a tree, literally, waiting for the trophy buck to walk by. Athletics plays a large role in my life. I participate in softball and basketball leagues and have won several medals in the Senior Olympics. I have two daughters and two granddaughters living in the Hot Springs area.
The Owner purchased this house in 1995
My family and I lived in this home for 15 years prior to making it a vacation rental and loved every day spent there. The home is located on an island with one road in and out keeping traffic to a minimum, making it inviting to take a walk or jog. It is located about 5 miles from the racetrack and 7 miles from the downtown area. Other attractions include Magic Springs and Crystal Falls amusement and water park, Fordyce Bath House which the U.S. Government spent $5.5 million restoring to its original condition (be sure to take the free tour) and several museums and art galleries.
The property is directly on the lake's main channel. The home is actually on an island making it quiet and secluded yet close to shopping, restaurants and attractions.
This house was wonderful. The view is absolutely breathtaking. The owners, Sharon and Craig were so nice and helpful. I loved the fact that it is an older home. My son is already asking when are we going back and I'm sure we will. It is so relaxing and close to every thing. It was very clean and the kitchen was very well stocked in everything you could need. I would recommend it to everyone and as a matter of fact I already have to several of our friends.
had a great time! The house was amazing! It was plenty of room for my crew and so conveniently located. Will definitely come again! Super nice owners!
Highly recommend and the owners could not have been more accommodating!
There are a lot of great reasons to rent and stay at this vacation home off of Lake Hamilton.
The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The view is fantastic. And the price is very reasonable.
But if you're looking for an upscale experience, this might not be the place for you.
This home has more of a cabin-in-the-woods feel than a luxury retreat overlooking the lake.
Although well-maintained and clean, it could use a lot of updates to make it a little more special.
For example, the beds are on the stiff or lumpy side of comfort. The upstairs bathroom is cramped (esp. the toilet). The main picture window is fogged (maybe due to a broken seal in the insulated glass window?). The hot water runs colder if 3 or more people take back-to-back showers. The A/C is loud in the master bedroom. The downstairs (basement) really isn't a true "bedroom."
And while it probably could accommodate 9 people (as listed) - the home begins to shrink drastically once the fifth adult enters the front door.
Listed as having 1600 sq. ft. of living space - it really feels much smaller due to the layout. (Note: the split level design with sunken living room and plethora of narrow stairs did make this home a challenge for my elderly mother.)
The true value of staying in this home is using the outside patios. But due to the July humidity and heat (as well as mosquitoes) - we weren't able to take full advantage of the generous outdoor living spaces.
The house's location was perfect for why we were in town (wedding) - it was close to everything yet far away from traffic or the hustle-and-bustle of tourism.
And it offered more private accommodations than your average hotel. So it suited our needs fine.
Craig and Sharon were great and making everything easy for us. And we appreciate everything they did to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
If you find this writing to be somewhat of a nit-picky review written by "city folk" who like to be pampered, I'm okay with that.
I simply wanted to offer a fair POV on this charming cabin on the banks of Lake Hamilton.
As a fishing camp, it's probably a 5-star property. But as a summer hotel alternative, I'd give it 3.5 stars.
The property was clean and welcoming. Felt like home away from home. Setting is beautiful and environment is peaceful. Owner Captain Craig checked on us as soon as we arrived to ensure we were comfortable and knew where everything was. I will definitely book here again.
This is a hidden gem for sure! The house itself is hidden from the road, down the tight little driveway, a perfect location for a nice family get away. The lake view from the living room and kitchen, even from the bathroom is amazing. Simply beautiful. The house was perfect for the 4 of us and a friend to sleep comfortably, hang out with ample space and great amenities. The beds were comfortable, enough towels to keep us dry for weeks and the kitchen well supplied with anything one may need. I loved the house, the location and the convenience of town being close but you would never know from the house. This is so far, my favorite place we have stayed and would absolutely stay again. Only negatives are the shower heads are a little short for taller folks and the step down from the kitchen and the bedrooms can be dangerous when you forget it's there in the middle of the night :) Oh, and the railing on the back balcony, definitely don't count on it to catch a fall or support leaning on it, could be reinforced, but it worked fine for us. No issue.
The owners were great and so easy to deal with. Prompt answers to emails or texts and information provided to ensure a smooth transaction and stay. The property was in great shape with nice plants and grasses, the trees are awesome. The house itself, very clean and very well maintained. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your house!
