If you are looking for a Memory Making Mountain Experience, you found it at Angel's Overlook!
It is not easy to find this much flat yard space in the Mountains, but this cabin has plenty of room to play yard games, enjoy the fire pit, park 4+ cars, and more...
In the Olden Days, Mountain Cabins were built with round or hand hewn logs, stacked, and then 'chinked' between the logs. This cabin was built with the Old Fashioned techniques in mind, but has all of the modern amenities you are accustomed to.
There is wireless internet, satellite TV in the living room, Central heat and air, dishwasher, etc... I just love the rustic feel of the cabin and the central location!
If you are coming to enjoy the Mountain Views, Bryson City (train depot, shopping, dining, and Deep Creek for tubing), the NOC (white water rafting, the Appalachian Trail, etc...), the Tsali (biking trails and recreation center), or Lake Fontana (fishing, swimming, and boat rentals), You can be at any of these attractions and more within 20 minutes from this cabin!
This location was chosen for this Beautifully Crafted Lodge Style Log Cabin because of the easy access, breath taking Mountain Views, and Large flat yard!
Peaceful and Private, Conveniently located between Bryson City and the N.O.C.! Sparkling Hot Tub, Covered View Deck, Screened Porch... We would love to hear from you, Call or Email and ask about "Angels Overlook" ***Online Booking available 24/7***

It was very beautiful and very close to everything, Other than the mouse it we had very amazing time.
Our family had a wonderful stay at Angel's Overlook. The cabin is spacious with great views off the front porch. Screened back porch was perfect for drinking our morning coffee and the hot tub was great for relaxing after a day of exploring the area. The cabin is very conveniently located, only a few minutes drive into downton Bryson City. I would say though, the decor and the TV both could use updating! Overall we would definitely recommend this cabin and plan on visiting again!
Our family of 4 stayed for two nights. It was a great location, very quiet and peaceful. Everything we needed was there. Just minutes from all the attractions of town and the main road.
The cabin is just as advertised. My wife and I decided to book this place as our homebase as we travelled around the area. The location is great, it is secluded but not far from Bryson City, which has everything you would need, like fast food restaurants, other restaurants (that we didn't get to try), and grocery stores so that you can take full advantage of the well-stocked kitchen in the cabin. We enjoyed the hot tub inside and the jacuzzi outside. The small firepit outside is perfect for warming you as you enjoy the stars above.
We didn't get to try the pool table, but it's nice that it's there for us to use.
Some recommendations for future travelers:
-if it's your first time going there, I would recommend going to the cabin before it's dark so you can find your way there. The road up there can be pretty scary at night, but small cars should have no problem (we drove a tiny V4 car and we didn't have any problem)
-firewood is not provided so make sure you stock up if you're going to use firepit. I did leave some matchsticks on the cabin for future travelers :)
-bring a camera. Our first day there we were greeted by the most gorgeous sunset visible from the front deck.
-laundry machine works very well, so no need to worry about running out of clothes
Some feedback for property owner:
-thank you so much for your responsiveness! I was trying to find the thermostat hiding in plain sight, and I called the number provided and they responded, same as when I was trying to check out early Saturday morning and probably woke Kathleen up. You are really helpful and that is greatly appreciated!
-I think mattresses in both rooms are due for an update. They are sagging in the middle and as a slightly heavier guy it hurts my back in the morning
-not a big deal but maybe the TVs are due for an update too. They work well, but they are old and kinda small.
-the wooden floors are a little creaky in some area
Overall, it was a really great experience. We were traveling from California for our honeymoon, and my wife and I were making plans to come back for future anniversary. We would recommend this place to anyone!
The cabin was beautiful, clean, spacious and well appointed. The back balcony was screened in, great for sitting at night. It was located close to everything, The Smokies, Cherokee, Hellen, Ga., Gattlinburg, Tn. and all the small beautiful towns in the immediate area. At night you could see every star in the sky, wow. From our balcony, we saw deer, turkey and rabbits. Everything was so quite and relaxing, yet only 10 minutes to town. I loved getting up in the morning, sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee, listening to the owls and breathing in the fresh mountain air. We took at trip on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. Great time. Stay away from the candy store in town if you are weak, like me. I wanted one of everything, no candies made it home. We ate in several local restaurants, all were excellent.
We had not experienced any problems with the cabin, so we had no contact with the owner. We did email each other before the trip and found her to be very accommodating.
My only complaint was that seven days seemed like 48 hours. We will be back.
The cabin was what we expected. Everything was clean and we felt welcome. The location is very handy to Bryson City, Cherokee & Robbinsville. The beds were very comfortable. The wood floors were creaky. The layout of the bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, worked well for 2 couples sharing a place. The hot tub worked well. We ran out of time and never did get a chance to roast those marshmallows at the fire pit. The only reason it did not rank a 5 star review from us was the gravel road that leads to it. It was somewhat steep, had a lot of switchback turns and was actually kind of scary to us Floridians. Even the couple from mountainous Tennessee approached the trek with some added caution. We drove cars. Every time we traversed it, we marvelled that a motorcyclist had actually praised the ease of access. But after a few days it felt more like part of the vacation adventure and we appreciated the privacy it provided at the top of the mountain and the quick access to all the places calling our name once we got back on the blacktop at the bottom of the hill. We had great weather and a good time in the Bryson City area. We rode the railroad, visited the casino and went to the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. Check out the Iron Skillet for breakfast . . . best biscuits ever!
National Geographic Vacation and Good Morning America voted this area ' #1 vacation with a splash'! There is whitewater rafting at the NOC, Deep Creek Tubing, and boats for rent on Lake Fontana. There are many places to truly cool off (Nantahala River is a brisk 42 degrees) and Beat the Heat! There are two Golf Courses within a 20 minute drive. Cherokee is less than 20 minutes away and there you will find shopping, Casino, World Class Dining, and the Smoky Mountain National Park!
