This is a unique home. It has many great features including a full dining room for entertaining, a media room with a 58' Panasonic Plasma TV, blue ray DVD player, hundreds of DVD's, satellite system, high speed wireless internet, hot tub, steam shower, table tennis, 7'Steinway Grand Piano and a treadmill for light workouts.
We had a wonderful time in the property. Is located 20 minutes by trolley from the center and 15-20 Canadian dollars taxi trip. Away from the center a big advantage. Very nice setup with comfortable rooms and backyard. Be aware there are 3 floors, but a little exercise didn't kill anybody. Great Chinese restaurant in the corner, recommended. Primary school next door but we didn't hear anything. Tim was helpful with the checking in and checkout. We will certainly use it again. BTW the DVD collection is impressive. We used the BBQ grill and the Jacuzzi.
Our family of four (kids are 9 and 11) absolutely loved our stay in this home. Tim was a fantastic host and the house is very well set up. We felt very much at-home; the kids loved the ping pong table and the giant tv. The location is excellent for getting around and we loved having a little driveway. No street parking this trip! We'll be back.
Our host, Tim, was so friendly and accommodating that we felt like we were being welcomed by family. The home is clean, nicely furnished, and perfectly renovated. The location is quiet and ideally suited for a small family or two couples. We wish we could have stayed longer, but we will use this property again. I would recommend this rental home to anyone looking for the comforts of home while exploring Vancouver.
We enjoyed the lovely home. It exceeded our expectations. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. Tim was more than helpful answering my questions. I highly recommend this property- great for a family.
My husband and I recently stayed in this beautiful home. It was a cool design, very clean and well equipped. We were pleasantly surprised that it was even better than the description. We enjoyed the hot tub, steam shower, cooking, walking to nearby restaurants but especially how Tim went out of his way to make the booking/check-in/out process easy and to make our stay as comfortable as possible!
We spent two nights in this gorgeous house last week and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a home away from home and more! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook a meal including all kinds of spices, oils, and condiments. The back yard is so quiet and peaceful! We sat in the hot tub under the stars. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding, pillows and towels are in excellent condition. Tim, our host was so accommodating and gave us some great advice on exploring Vancouver. The house is in my favourite part of Vancouver, just steps away from Main Street where you will find great restaurants and antique, vintage, and designer boutiques. I will definitely stay there again. Thank you Tim!!
The home is located in the heart of the Main Street shopping district. There are great vintage clothing stores, antique dealers, restaurants and grocery stores within a 5 minute walk from the front door. It is also 5 minutes away from Queen Elizabeth Park, Nat Bailey Stadium as well as our brand new Hillcrest Community Centre (http://www.hillcrestcentre.ca/) which which was the home of the 2010 Olympic Curling Event.
