Tranquil views of Monterey Bay beckon from virtually every room in this lovely 1057 square feet 3-bedroom, 2-bath hilltop home in a friendly Pacific Grove neighborhood within walking distance of the coastline and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The location is ideal, just blocks from downtown Pacific Grove shops and restaurants, and the 15-mile walking and bike trail that winds along the shoreline. Monterey, Carmel and Pebble Beach are all less than a 10-minute drive away; Big Sur about 45 minutes.
Upon your arrival you will be greeted with complimentary wine and cheese, tickets for a wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards’ tasting room in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes and beach gear.
A short flight of steps from the sidewalk takes you up to the front entrance. A long, narrow balcony runs along the front of the house affording a spot to watch the gulls and pelicans soar over the blue waters of the Monterey Bay. The house combines nostalgic '50s architectural touches with sophisticated contemporary seashore-themed décor.
The panelled living room, which has stunning bay views, features wall-to-wall windows, a beamed vaulted ceiling, gas fireplace, sofa, loveseat, a wooden coffee table and an antique bureau. Relax with popcorn and watch movies on a flat-screen TV. A telescope is provided for up-close looks at sailboats in the bay.
An adjacent open dining room, also with gorgeous bay views, has a wooden table and chairs for 6. A bank of built-in cabinets (with a pass through window to the kitchen) provide storage for table linens, games and puzzles.
Prepare gourmet meals in a handsome kitchen that has a sand-colored tile floor, white tile counter-tops, wooden cabinets and a central work station with a built-in electric stove top. Other appliances include an oven, dishwasher and microwave. Breakfast or casual meals can be enjoyed at a square oak table with 4 Windsor chairs. A nook with a washer and dryer is nearby.
A back door leads to an enclosed patio - partially framed in glass to let in the water views - equipped with a picnic table and grill.
The master bedroom, with a large window that looks out to the back deck, has a nautical theme with deep ocean blue and white patterned bedding on the king bed with foam topper, wooden end tables with tripod table lamps and an armchair. Bed can be made up as two twins.
The master bath, with white and pale yellow tiles and navy blue towels, and has an enclosed shower.
A second bedroom has a king bed with foam topper which can also be made into two twins, a white wooden dresser and bedside tables and table lamps with metal bases shaped like tree branches.
The third bedroom has twin beds with sea foam blue quilted bed coverlets, sea-themed artwork, a white wooden dresser and bedside stands and blue ceramic table lamps. These twin beds can be made up together with a foam topper for a king if preferred.
Additional sleeping possibilities include a day bed with a trundle to sleep two children located in the living room.
An additional bathroom, also tiled in white and pale yellow, has a tub with a shower.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome for an additional fee.

What a fantastically beautiful home and neighborhood. We were only two couples so there was more than enough room for us to enjoy the space. The views from the living room and dining room are spectacular. Mother Nature delivered perfect weather for the weekend which certainly enhanced our experience. We could walk down to the bike path for a run or walk and we really enjoyed walking into downtown PG which has really come alive in the past few years. We hope to come back again soon!
beautiful home/view with all desired amenities
The property at which we stayed, 211 6th Street, Pacific Grove was gorgeous. Everything we could have wanted in the home was there, from appliances to amenities. The beds were super comfortable. The view from the dining room was unparalleled. When we first arrived, the hot water wasn't working and we had a little bit of delay in getting that addressed but it was minor overall. Wonderful time with family.
Accurate listing, spacious, clean, well maintained, and great views of the harbor. Close to downtown and walking distance for restaurants, and other amenities.
Would definitely recommend to anyone who values those attributes .
Great Location! Spacious House for Families!
My husband and 2 kids, 7 and 4 had a blast staying here over the long weekend. We were greated with cheese and crackers, bag of chocolate chip cookies, and wine upon our arrival. The house is located within walking distance to the Aquarium but we drove because who wants to listen to two kids whine about being too tired to walk back! Everything you ever wanted to visit is a short drive from the house!
The house is located on a very quiet street (hilly) with plenty of parking in front of the house. The views from the living room were spectacular! We all loved looking through the provided telescope at the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Unfortunately, we couldn't spot any whales!
The house comes with plenty of bath and beach towels and a very well stocked kitchen, water filter pitcher, Keurig, and traditional coffee maker are all provided. Beach chairs are also provided. The kids enjoyed the board games.
I suggest a few minor tweaks to make it even more enjoyable:
- more Keurig pods. Only 2 was provided but we stayed for 3 nights.
- check the batteries in smoke detectors. Ours beeped in the middle of the night, but Julia the house manager was quick to remedy that once contacted.
- more tissue boxes. We only found 1 in the living room.
We requested an early check-in and Julia was accomadating enough to allow us to check in a few hours earlier. Overall, we loved our stay and will come back again when we return to gorgeous Monterey!

History buffs will have a field day exploring the adobes of Monterey. There's so much to do that you cannot possibly do it all in one visit, which means you will have to come back. Driveway is reserved for the owner living in the lower unit.
