This apartment's highly secure and tranquil layout as well as modern design, in a location offering the ideal balance of comfortable residential, convenient commercial, and safe entertainment living set the stage for a memorable visit to Washington, DC.

Designed with a focus on security, visitors will feel safe and secure day and night on the well light street with large sideways. Each tenant is given their own individual access code, which is generated on the combination code entrance lock and only valid during the period of their stay. This ensures only the current occupants will have access to the property and their is no risk of others duplicating keys so access can be obtained later. The property is equipped with a 24 hour exterior surveillance monitoring system that records, captures and tracks external activity. The apartment's dual entries provide enhanced security by inserting two locked doors between the exterior element and the secure safe apartment. All exterior windows are also equipped with a security system to ensure the safety of you and your belongings. Mother/Daughter DC Adventure 2014

We arrived on a rainy afternoon, Erling met us and took us on a walk around the neighborhood. He was a wonderful host and shared lots of little tips about how to get around town, suggestions about places to eat, shop, etc... The apartment was clean and cozy! Plenty of room for us and with all the amenities we needed. Just moved in, add a few groceries and it felt like we were at home - only right down the street was the White House! THe metro was so easy and efficient! We did walk down to the National Mall one day - that was fun and it only took about 1/2 hour. Erling invited us for breakfast on our last day... He is a perfect host and we'd love to stay with him again! Thank you for a perfect homebase!

Adorable apartment in a very cool neighborhood.

Erling is a conscientious host who works hard to make sure you are comfortable. The apartment is clean and the area quiet at night. It's not quite a five-star experience (mostly because it's an older, but still charming building) but it's terrific nonetheless. Just what you hope for in a VRBO experience. I hope to return.

Great Stay

Erling was a great host - very helpful during the stay - went to the police station with our registration to get a visitor parking pass and helped out with a wifi issue - unit is not huge but is as described - our two young boys were fine on blow up mattresses in the living room - bedroom has comfortable queen bed - kitchen with nearby Trader Joe's was great for breakfast and dinners - a real cost saver - location was great - very safe residential neighborhood close to a main drag and Metro station - although we found Uber to be more convenient and actually cheaper than Metro - never waited more than 2 minutes for door to door service - would definitely recommend

Great historical house and neighborhood

We really enjoyed staying here, the location was perfect. We are a family of 3 so the size was right for us. The location was ideal for walking to metro, restaurants, & the grocery store. Erling, the owner is on property so if there is a problem or question he is right there. Once we arrived Erling showed us around the neighborhood & showed us how to use metro. He brought us down some homemade mini lemon pies to enjoy. You can't go wrong with this historical row house.

Awesome location, great buy, wonderful host

Erling was friendly and wonderfully accommodating. Couldn't have been a better host. He even shared some of his excellent home baked pound cake on our last day. Unit was clean and fully supplied. It was a lower unit so not as much light, but it is well cared for and perfect for our stay. The location couldn't have been better as we were within walking distance of almost every restaurant we wanted to go to.
