A Lovely Home!

  • 4 of 5

We rented this home, as well as the one across the street, for our family reunion. Having the 2 homes worked out perfectly for 24 us!

The home was a good size for our group, and the living area is open, spacious and included all the amenities needed. We ended up using the home across the street for most meals since this home has the living area upstairs, and our older folks couldn’t manage the stairs. The home was clean, with a huge master bdrm/bath, and the other rooms downstairs (but needed more hand towels and washcloths), and was mostly well maintained (a few things like one of the window cranks didn’t work to open the window).

We really enjoyed the Tahoe Gal (Happy Hour Cruise). The captain and crew were so accommodating, and the Captain had each of the younger kids actually driving and learning about the boat, and he even took our group picture! A few of our group played golf right there in Tahoe City. And we spent a lot of time at Commons Beach, with the playground, grass area, nice restrooms, and of course, the lake, and all the shops and restaurants right up the stairs from there.

We would definitely recommend this property!

Great place for groups

  • 4 of 5

This was a great house for our group of 10. The family area and kitchen is very open and inviting. There is a huge fenced in backyard that was great for playing football and frisbee. The location was great as well. Scott at Pullen Realty was very helpful in every interaction we had with him.

Previous reviews mention problems with the BBQ and wifi. The BBQ was in perfect shape and had a full tank of propane ready for us to use. No problem's there. The wifi was spotty, but it wasn't much of an issue considering we didn't go to Tahoe to be on our computers and phones.

We would definitely consider staying here again next time.

Fabulous Tahoe home for fun, friends and family!

  • 5 of 5

Just enjoyed four nights at this charming and comfy Tahoe home. The alarm went off when I first arrived, which was- alarming, but I contacted the property company who helped me out (I also received a follow up call the next day). We had a crew of friends and family and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the home, the hot tub, the location, and the snow. I will be bookmarking this home for future visits. We had such a great time and were sorry to leave!

Great property-terrible amenities

Great property-terrible amenities

The home layout and quality is modern and brilliant. The open floor plan and spacious rooms were great for a large gathering and great time. The furniture and beds where also comfortable and very good.

Here is where it got bad. There is a Hodge-podge of pans, dishes and utensils and plates. This does not seem like a big deal but when you have a great big kitchen and prepare basic meals for a gathering it is frustrating in the very least.

There was absolutely zero Internet connectivity. Buying a slightly bigger WiFi bandwidth package from Verizon to allow an email or two to go through would have made it at least tolerable.

The television was really old but it worked. However, we rented several redbox movies for the family and all it would play in was black and white. This antiquity extended to kitchen appliances such as non working burners on the stove and a quirky dishwasher.

The hot water ran out very fast in master bedroom bath where we tried to give our child a bath. This happened twice and I am not sure the cause as there was not a lot of other bathing going on.

These are minor things but it made a difference in the quality of stay. It was like we were camping oin a beautiful made to entertain home. For the life of me I do not understand this on a business prospective of the owners and or the rental group. Literally spending $400 to $600 dollars on basics would have gotten us to re-rent the home twice a year and recommend others to do the same. I cannot recommend it now as it is. I seriously doubt they get many repeat renters at this home.

Owner's Response: We're sorry that you had a disappointing experience during your stay. We invite all of our guests to call us if there is any kind of problem so that we can address it. The wifi works great but sometimes iphones and ipads disconnect from the wifi even though they show as connected. This is a well known issue that iphone devices drop their connection from some wireless routers but they still show as connected so you were probably using your 3G connection for email. Lake Tahoe does have areas with weak cell/data signals depending on which carrier you use and that could be the problem. Thank you for pointing out some areas of improvement which the owner is taking measures to address. Sincerely Pullen Realty Group

No connection

  • 2 of 5

EXTREMELY POOR TO NO INTERNET CONNECTION

- My team was there for a work planning trip and no one could access work files from their laptop. Forget having any cell service either... It was a dead zone.

OUTDOOR BBQ NOT WORKING

- Only 1 out of the 3 or 4 the left burner would light up

INDOOR KITCHEN

- Oven knobs are completely rubbed off. You won't know if you're baking, broiling, or cleaning or what temperature the oven is on.

HOT WATER

- Not good. If someone was showering downstairs, you instantly lost all water heat upstairs.

Only pros is that it's a beautiful house and was able to be kept very warm. Hot tub was nice and hot also.
