We just returned from a relaxing fun family vacation at this well equipped comfortable farmhouse. The owners were welcoming and have thought of everything you may need. The yard is spacious and perfect for playing outdoor games which we enjoyed every night followed by dinner on the patio and gathering later in the eves at the fire pit. The boat slip was great as my son brought his fishing boat and Bob met him at the road to direct him to the waterfront. The house was clean and all bedrooms were nice and cool with the air conditioners. The only room that needed cooling was the twin bed room so we just didn't use it for sleeping. The twin beds are not long enough for adults but would be fine for small children. Just a short walk to the beach. Very private and serene location. Best vacation in a long time!
We had a great time at the farmhouse. The description is accurate and if you want to walk back in time, the farmhouse is the place to stay. It has a lot of character and was clean and comfortable.
I was concerned that the proximity to highway 302 might make it a bit noisy but that was not the case. The only motors we heard was the boats on the lake. The owners were very nice to meet and very helpful getting us settled in. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet getaway and still be close to commercial needs. If my adult children are still willing, we'll be back next year.
Thanks Bob & Janet for a great week.
We rented the farm house in July 2011. It was great had everything we needed and more. Close to water great for Kayaking. A nice beach area for the kids the house had all the kitchen untencils and bedding, very roomy. We will definitely be back next year.
