Driftwood Log Cabin – 3 Bedrooms/ + loft Sleeps 10

Bedrooms 3
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 1 - 5 nights

About the property

3 Level Log Home, 3 Bedrooms plus Loft, 3 Bathrooms, Sleeps 10

Driftwood Log Cabin is a 3-level Log home with a 20-foot ceiling and lots of windows for the views. Driftwood cabin is decorated in fresh light colors and hardwood floors and wooden blinds throughout. very spacious with 3 levels of living space, multiple families can have their privacy. From your deck you can enjoy watching the sun come up while sipping your morning coffee in your rocking chairs or sitting in the hot tub. You can put your watercraft in the water right at the cabin with ease. Wood for the fireplace is provided in the winter months and the yard has a gentle slope to the water so children or elderly with walking handicaps can have easy access also. The driveway has a circle drive so you have plenty of parking for cars and trailers so PLEASE do not use the yard to turn around or drive on. Due to the mountainous terrain cell phone service is not always the best, please be prepared for that. Unfortunately, we DO NOT allow any pets in our home.

Driftwood offers the perfect opportunity to sit back & relax before & after a fun-filled day on the lake or exploring the Smokies. This is a perfect setting for those wintery smoky Mountain nights in a true log home with wood floors and a wood burning fireplace to snuggle and that steamy hot tub to relax for the entire family or for that romantic couple. Just a short drive into Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg for all the activities you could imagine.

Enjoy your Douglas Lake Vacation in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. We are just a short drive into Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dixie Stampede, Dollywood,The Bristol Raceway, and Cherokee North Carolina.

Due to the nature of Douglas Lake being a reservoir lake the water levels flucuate regularly. All our docks are easily movable back and forth. During your stay it may be necessary for you to push or pull the dock to keep them floating. There is no possibility we can be at all the cabins to keep this done when it can move as quickly as it does. Again, these are easily movable and normally one person can do it themselves.

Remember Douglas Lake is a Reservoir so lake levels will be low/ or gone after the Labor day week until its coming back up in the spring

Driftwood log home is a fabulous home for the larger family needing more space or for couples who want seperate levels for ‘ quiet time” alone. The luxury of a private launch & dock right at the cabin is very convient for you. Ohh, that large wraparound porch overlooking the lake from your hot tub. Take a look to see what else I have to offer! WE also have wifi if you need to work or play while on vacation,.

Remember Douglas Lake is a Reservoir so lake levels will be low/ or gone depending on the cabin after the Labor day week until its coming back up in the spring. Be sure and talk to us about that if its a concern. We have no control over the lake .

Review by Jan on 3/24/17 3:41 PM IP Address:

We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. There was plenty of room and it was clean and neat. It had a big porch, hot tub and pool table. The only problem was at first there was a smell of sulfur when we ran the showers but it improved. It was possibly due to the drought. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends

  • 4 of 5

This is a nice cabin. Everything was clean and we had plenty of room for our 2 families of 5. We did have issues with the oven not browning but we made do with that inconvenience. Our meringue just wasn't toasted on our homemade chocolate pie. Our kids (6 of them) were initially a little bummed about not having great Wi-Fi that could be utilized in the way that they normally do but we all survived the week without downloading movies, music and such. This cabin is rather remote and completely away from the excitement of the Smokies, which we loved. We only went into town one evening while we were there. I would love to see the cabin when the lake is up. We enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner out of the covered deck and it was so nice. One negative is that only the main floor and the basement bedrooms are completely shut off from the whole house. We slept in the loft bedroom. We had a door but the kids staying up to watch a movie on the main floor or playing a game of pool in the basement, was very loud in our room, even behind a closed door. Also, not having a door to close for the bathroom upstairs was a little hard to get used to. Saying all of that to say this--We would love to visit again!
