In a two-storey building, it will give you the feeling of staying in a real house in the center of Aix en Provence.
Can accommodate two to six people this little corner of paradise consists of a fully equipped kitchen in two parts, one part open to the dining room and living room, and another part of cooking and washing area. The three rooms have their own bathroom and separate wc terrace of 50 square meters overlooking a lush garden opening onto one of the bedrooms, the living room and the kitchen.
Located Mignet Street in the heart of the old town, you will be close to all the shops and restaurants and close to the famous markets with flavors of Provence.
Air conditioning is integrated, adjustable piece by piece.
Mignet is an excellent property in many respects and got very close to a 5 star rating from us. The positives include: very spacious in all rooms, well-furnished particularly in the lounge, excellent appliances and kitchenware (crockery, glasses, cutlery etc), an excellent terrace that is quiet and receives sun for a long part of the day and is perfect for pre-dinner drinks of an evening, good quality wi-fi, very good sized TV screen that has an HDMI cable for internet connection to a PC (international programmes are poor), very good location in the old part of town in a restricted car entry area. The Aix City Apartments managers were really fantastic throughout and a pleasure to deal with at all stages (booking and dealing with a few problems in the rental) and I can definitely recommend them if looking for a holiday in Aix. However, there were a couple of negatives that tipped the balance to a 4 star rather than a 5 star review and these were: We thought that the security for the back of the property was very poor although this only faced an enclosed garden area. When we arrived one of the external rooms had no locking at all and could have been opened from outside by just turning the handle. The managers and owner responded quickly and fixed a small bolt to the inside of the door but the security still seemed less than we would have preferred. In other places we have stayed the shutters act as an appropriate security but this was not the case here. The parking (paid separately) that we were first allocated was very poor and not wide enough to park safely (given its restricted access in a very narrow street) without significant risk (in my view) of damage and a claim from the hire company. After one park (with owner) and exit I moved the car to the park and ride at the outskirts of town and decided to use this for the rest of the holiday. I told the managers about this and they allocated me another space that was much better. The park and ride is efficient and not that far out and there are public parks at around the same price as the ones offered by the managers – so one to check before booking. But overall a very, very good apartment and highly recommended
