|Minimum Stay||4 nights|
This lovely three bedroom, three bath home in the centro adjacent to the lower Balconies area of San Miguel is perfect for those who want a cozy convenient place to stay with a spectacular view of the town and an authentic Mexican feel. Mexican art, tiles and metal work are located throughout the casa. It is an easy ten minute walk to the center of town (the historic Jardin).
The first guest room is on the main floor next to the living room and near its own bath. This main level of the house has an open living room/dining room with gas fireplace and a Mexican tiled kitchen and small bar. It opens to a wonderful private inner courtyard with beautiful mature plantings and an enormous tree. Also opening on this courtyard is a second guest room with full bath tucked away at the rear of the secluded courtyard.
The master bedroom with its own gas fireplace, Mexican tiled bath and private terrace for relaxing is on the second level. It can be conveniently accessed from either the center courtyard or from inside the house. On the third floor you will find a full laundry and another sitting area where you can kick back, have a tequila or margarita and enjoy those great sunset views of San Miguel after a day in the surrounds.
The casa has a housekeeper who comes three times a week to clean and serve your needs.
It is in fact a nice stay. It pretty much has anybody needs to enjoy San Miguel de Allende. We walk must of the time to the square and going down its easy, going up its better to take a taxi if you are not use to walk . I would definitely stay there again!
We loved our time in this house, it looks a lot like the pictures. Very well located and great views!
This lovely home, filled with folk art and an incredible view of the city, provides a pleasant respite after a vigorous day enjoying San Miguel de Allende. It is located on a hill close to the Jardin, the principle plaza of the city. It takes ten to fifteen minutes to walk down to the city center, and a 50 peso (about $3) taxi ride back if you don't want to climb the hill. The house has almost all of the conveniences of home including Wi-Fi plus maid service twice per week. The housekeeper, Belen, doesn't speak English, but we found her eager to communicate with us, and I think we made ourselves understood to each other.
If you care for history of the area, a tour with Albert Coffee to the Canyon of the Virgin is a real highlight.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was as advertised. It is the quint essential San Miguel Home. Eevrything was very nice. One bedroom is off on its own in the patio area. Then the master bedroom is upstairs on its own. You will be blown away by the view from the top floor. The sunset, a glass of wine over looking San Miguel. It doesn't get any better than that. We will stay in this home again.
This was our 4th visit to Jane's house and as always was very pleasing.Location is on a very nice and freindly Caleron but close to a major street for finding taxi's. El Centro is 15 minutes walk down a steep hill.Return by taxi costs $2.50. Best feature is roof top sitting area with one of the best views in San Miguel. Belan the house keeper is terrific.Master bedroom with adjoining patio is very pleasant room.The photos & description give a fair and acurate idea of the house which we would certainly recommend.
