Munising Bay is beautiful and offers a wide variety of activities to pursue and enjoy during your visit. We were in "awe" of Lake Superior, Pictured Rocks, numerous waterfalls, nature trails, warm sandy beaches, brisk and refreshing swims, shipwreck tours, sunset cruises, hiking and biking, ETC! Needless to say, we came back to the rental property purely exhausted and appreciated all the home-away-from-home amenities that were available to us to relax and enjoy.
The local community was very friendly, hospitable and assisted in making our stay so nice. We liked the locally prepared food (e.g. smoked whitefish, pasties and pizza) that were conveniently available to us, when we opted to take a night off from cooking our family's favorite meals - in the generously stocked kitchen. The large deck off the front of the house was utilized plenty for grilling, playing games, and/or simply watching the boats, etc. coming and going from the great lake! If there was any questions, concerns or need, it was a comfort to connect to a "real" person on the other end of the phone number provided for us to use during our stay. Thanks, again!
Yes, definitely, we can wholeheartedly recommend this vacation rental property to others who wish to have a clean, spacious and comfortable house to stay in during their vacation to the U.P. Oh - and don't miss out on the "Rip Tide Ride" down the street - totally a B-L-A-S-T! Also, be sure to plan an afternoon at Sandy Pointe Beach - unbelievably beautiful!!
Clearly, the view of Munising Bay off the back yard/deck of the house, was definitely the highlight of this property! As water enthusiasts, there were numerous activities to choose from that kept us all well entertained - some of our favorites included: the Ship Wreck Tour, Pictured Rocks, Waterfalls, Sand Point Beach, Rip-Tide Ride, Paddle Boarding, biking, hiking, exploring, ETC!
Although there is "no place like home", this house accommodated our family of six, comfortably, with plenty of "elbow room" of our own to retreat to, after a long day of play. We especially appreciated the generosity of the owner and local businesses in helping to make our stay in the U.P. so enjoyable!
Our family really enjoyed the options of being able to cook our favorite foods in the well furnished, spacious kitchen! Plus, having the convenience of local restaurants nearby that specialize in pasties and smoked whitefish, which were very delicious!
Thanks, again, Baywatch of Munising!
Our stay in Munising was wonderful. We live in California & this was our first visit to the U.P. It was everything we had hoped for & more. We would definitely reconnend this home to anyone wanting to say on Lake Superior. The house was Very clean & well stocked with pots & pans & all the kitchen utensils that we needed. It also had plenty of extra towels, blandets & bedding. I really appreciated finding that they had included beach towels for us to use. Having a washer & dryer was a big plus.
The location was great! The view from the deck was awesome. We ate at least one meal out on the deck everyday. Early morning coffee on the deck is a must, the sunrise is great. We enjoyed using the BBQ & the girls enjoyed playing in the yard.
Most of the things that we wanted to do were close by. Went on the Pictured Rocks boat cruise, that was awesome. Went to a number of water falls (most of then were an easy hike) spent time at Miners beach & at Sandy point beach. On day trips we went to Marquette one day & to Tahquamenon Falls & Whitefish point another day. We also did the Shipwreck glass bottom tour. Hope to get back for some fishing & hiking. On our way back down to lower Michigan we stopped in Sauit Ste. Marie & took a ride though the Soo Locks.
Had a great trip. Thanks Mike.

This property was exactly as advertised, you are right next to the bay and the view is wonderful as well as very peaceful. The location was excellent, Munising offers a lot of water excursions as well as other activities. It's also a great location for day trips to other parts of the peninsula, we went to Whitefish Point, Grand Marais, and historic mining village of Fayette. Mike is very helpful, friendly, and provides lots of local information. There are pontoon rentals, fresh fish, and water tours all within walking distance of the house. It was great to have a full kitchen and grill for "at home" meals, or several restaurants in town, our favorite being Johnny's Dogs. Thanks for a great week Mike!
First of all, thanks to Mike for making this house truly dog friendly. The door off the back leads to a secure deck with steps down into a FENCED YARD! Are you kidding me? No other VRBO house I've looked at has a yard like this. Frankly, I think our dogs may be a little disappointed that they're back home, probably thought we'd moved to the coolest place on earth.
Secondly, the house. It's quite nice. Not fancy, but plenty of room, VERY clean, and everything you really need--cookware, working appliances, including washer & dryer, gas grill, heating system, large garage, LOTS of towels and extra pillows and comforters, and well stocked with the essential like dish and laundry soap, toilet paper, trash bags, etc. (If there were one thing I would change, it would be to put good quality memory foam pads on the mattresses. They're pretty stiff.)
Third, the location. The pictures are not deceiving, this house really is right on the bay. The view from the deck is beautiful, and we made sure to be up for the sunrise every day. The Munising location is perfect for day trips in all directions. We went to Seney, Grand Marais, Whitefish Point, Marquette, a dozen waterfalls, four state parks and all over the Hiawatha National Forrest. The BEST was hiking the Songbird Trail in Au Train, an awesome two mile trek through the woods. Of course, the incredible weather didn't hurt a bit. We had a great time, Mike, and we're pretty sure we'll be back! Thanks again.
