Very dated and no WiFi

First off, don’t make the mistake I did and assume this property USB’s Brockway Springs, which is a nicer newer development with amenities. It’s not it’s Brockway Shores, which is an older property with no amenities. After I got over that shock the biggest issue was no WiFi. We called the numbers posted in the House which were all incorrect, then the property Mgmt company said someone could come out on Friday (this was Tuesday and we were leaving Saturday.) needless to say no one showed up on Friday so don’t expect WiFi if you rent this place. Plus side - the view is wonderful and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and it was clean. The carpet needs to be cleaned and the entire place updated. Installing granite countertops in the kitchen does not quite cut it. Also we left something there and the property Mgmt company still has not returned our correspondence.

Owner's Response: We're sorry that you were disappointed in your stay at Brockway shores. Yes, Brockway shores is different than Brockway Springs which we agree is a newer development but their prices are going to be higher. We also agree with you that the property is dated compared to a new remodeled place and we feel that's reflected in the price. As for the internet, yes that was a problem we couldn't solve during your stay over the holidays and it takes a week to get installation scheduled. I'm pretty sure we issued a credit for the inconvenience. We agree that having an internet connection is a critical amenity and the owner is taking steps to install cable internet. Thanks again for your constructive comments and we've brought them to the owners attention.

Amazing location right on the lake

Three of us stayed at this incredible condo just steps away from Lake Tahoe and with views of the Lake from the downstairs and upstairs decks! The condo was well appointed with everything you need to enjoy your stay - so a big thanks to the owners/property mgmt company! The only surprise was that there was no shower on the upper level so that whoever stayed in that room had to go downstairs to shower. Not a deal-killer by any stretch (especially since I slept downstairs!). Also, our stay during the summertime left it a little hot on the upstairs level during the day. Of course, we didn't spend too much time there during the day so this was also not much of an issue. I would stay here again without question.

From I-80: Take Exit 188B for CA-89/CA-267 toward Sierraville/Lake Tahoe. Turn right at CA-267 (Glenn Carlson Memorial Bypass). Travel for 11.6 miles (past Northstar Ski area and over Brockway Summit). At the traffic light in Kings Beach ("T" intersection) turn left onto CA-28 and travel for .9 miles. Turn right at Chipmunk St. (if you pass Beaver St. on the left, you've gone too far.) The second driveway on the left is the entrance to Brockway Springs- please note: your condo is in Brockway Shores, not Springs! You just happen to turn at the Springs entrance. Your condo is in the first building on the right, #103. Pier gate code "5421-enter". *Please note: VERY IMPORTANT TO PUT TRASH AWAY NIGHTLY IN DUMPSTERS. There have been bear break-in's recently in the Tahoe Basin. The bears are attracted to the food where ever it may be. We love our bears, please help by not letting them eat your garbage. Keep your windows closed when you are not at the home and keep your garbage in the dumpsters provided. Do not leave garbage sitting out unattended. Thank you.
