This property is sensational! We met the owner while having breakfast at the Abaco Inn. Upon finding out we planned a beach wedding on Elbow Cay he graciously offered his house and property, attended our wedding and threw a party for us! Very cool person!!!!!!
Just want to echo the great reviews from previous guests. The pictures just don't do the property justice. We were completely overwhelmed by the beauty of the house and grounds. It was Paradise for all my children and grandchildren. Between the pool, the ocean and White Sound you really don't have to leave but it is on Elbow so if you want to explore you're close to everything. Colyn, who is the caretaker, is available for whatever you need. All in all there cannot be many more beautiful places on earth.
This beautiful home is an exquisite paradise. The views are BEAUTIFUL from every side of the house. I have been fortunate enough to experience the incredibleness of this amazing place a few times and am always in awe of the fun, the peace, and the sheer beauty of it all. Will definantly return!
This house, on this island, equals perfection. It is a beautiful house with a grand, sweeping wrap-around porch that encompasses views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the sea of Abaco...AT THE SAME TIME! Paradise sits on the highest part of Elbow Cay providing for spectacular views of the sun rising over the Atlantic Ocean. And the sunsets! You have never seen such dramatic beauty as the sun sets against a backdrop of lush foliage on the property’s 4 acres. And the water is so clear you can see the bottom in very deep water.
The house has a grand master suite, 3 other bedrooms, 3 baths and a humongous great room and kitchen. That doesn’t include the cute guest cottage on the other side of the POOL. It was immaculately clean we arrived and everything was more beautiful than the pictures. I mean this house has it all, lots of room fabulously furnished, beautiful lush landscaping and since we traveled with 3 other couples we needed and had ample room for every activity. And it was so nice to have a quality stereo system on while we laid out by the pool.
When you think of images that correspond with “picturesque, charming sea village, friendly people, azure sky, clear waters; that is Elbow Cay. You will want to get a golf cart so can explore the Island, get into to “downtown” to the many shops, restaurants and docks. You can’t lost.
The caretaker and “all-round man” for the house is named Colyn, a native of the Bahamas’ and can set you up with anything. You want to go catch lobster or conch, go fishing, sight-seeing; he is your man. A great cook too!
The home owners have thought of everything, including fabulous rocking chairs, hammocks, rafts, gas grill, stereo system, tvs in every room, wifi, and the list goes on.
With our friends, my husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary with a small ceremony on the private beach in front of the house. Our pictures are wonderful, especially those taken with the home’s beachside cabana in the background!
We were so impressed with this house on this island. The weather was perfect, the snorkeling was a blast, fishing, lobstering, exploring, relaxing; we did it all. We had researched the possibilities and this was by far the best value for the money. In fact, it was less expensive than smaller houses, not as well maintained, and without the killer views!
If you are planning any type of getaway in a tropical destination, check out the house and property named Paradise on Elbow Cay.
If there is a more beautiful place in the world I would like to see it!! Situated on a hilltop with a beach on both sides, the hardest decision to make all week is which porch to sit on to enjoy the views. The beautiful Abaco Sea at the back door and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean at the front door. Inside the rooms are open and airy with a large kitchen/living area, but who wants to stay inside when you have more covered porch space than most other homes have indoor space. The pool is a great place to relax after a hard day on the beach or in the quaint, friendly town just down the road. With restaurants in the nearby town or just down the street at the Inn, there is a new place to try for several days. Or just staying at the house and cooking in the spacious kitchen or on the grill is always awesome. In Elbow Cay we were able to rent a boat to snorkel the local waters and just relax or go lobstering. you are only limited by your imagination for your time in Paradise. On the Atlantic side of the house is the best spot in Elbow Cay for surfing, not the biggest waves but for beginners to intermediate surfers, you will have a blast! I have recommended Paradise to several friends who are hoping to plan trips sometime soon. I as well am hoping to return to paradise sometime soon. Overall, this is a great place for family or friends to hang out, get reaquainted and just enjoy your time in Paradise!!
